We know Rara closely for years. Yes, she is in good health & treated well by Puan &Nim. Still, she is an hotel baby ele - separated from her mum at too early age, forced to live without a herd as a very social animal, & like all of them, with an unclear fate growing up. Asian eles are very endangered & every ele kept in ok conditions is good & tourism the future. But be a critical tourist - avoid hotel & street elephants, bad trekking & shows. Check ele conservation sites for more info.
