  • if it stood to me the gravestones should be decided by the family because the soldiers berried there have done different things in war and should have their family to choose the gravestone as mentioned before

  • The price for freedom

  • Very touching. God bless those courageous warriors.

  • I've just watched both parts of this video and what a wonderful tribute you have made to our lost military in the Philippines. I saw the cemetery in 1965 when I was stationed at Clark Air Base in the P.I., served TDY for 6 months of that tour in Vietnam, saw the flag-draped coffins of our military go toward the flight line at Tan Son Nhut on their way home.........and this video brought all that back to me....it's effect on you was apparent in the sound of your voice narrative. God Bless!

  • @radeeoman Thank you for the kind comments. I don't think that there is anyone who has been in the military who would not feel something when visiting this and other sites. I was raised by men like you who served in Vietnam, I guess that's one of the reasons the feelings for our brothers is so strong, that and I'm a 3 generation Seabee. Thank you for serving our great nation,

  • A nice video. I will someday visit this cemetery. My wife is from manila and i look forward to visiting. I recieved a letter yesterday from The amercian battle monument commision informing me that they finally found my fathers best friend who died in his arms during the invasion of guam july 44. If you dont have the exact name spelling during the search it can be sometime before they locate a grave. He is buried in Hawaii. God Bless you and your family and take care.

  • @barmtrail Your father was in the invasion of Guam? do you know his unit? My grandfather was in the first Echelon I've lots of infromation and pictures on and for that campaign.

    Bill

  • Yes bill my father was with the 3rd marine division 3rd signal corp headquarters batt. I can't say as i know what Echelon means. My fathers L/C was hit during the landing and his best buddy died in his arms. My father lived with that for the rest of his life. He passed in 2008 and i am now researching everything about his marine corp life. I will be going to MCRD to get a copy of his graduation batt. Pic. Technology is wonderful for gathering info from the past.

  • @barmtrail I have a picture of the temporary grave stie on Guam as well, ehrere you Dads friend would have been put.
