It pretty much proves how much better Jordan was than Kobe when you consider Shane Battier could never have limited MJ the way he did Bryant. Shane always guarded Kobe one on one and had the occasional 40 point game hung on him. Jordan would have dropped 60 on Battier routinely were he to be guarded by himself.
The interesting thing is that Ray Allen did a much better job defending Kobe in the Finals but Kobe played better against him, don't get me wrong Shane is a great defender, but in this case I would rather say that it's more about Bryant who just couldn't find his game.

@LdreamerA justcruzzinn's a dumbass, but you have to admit that the Heat are looking very scary this year and LeBron is playing amazing. The Laker's are starting off pretty strong. Sure, their record says otherwise but that was without Bynum and Bynum looks like he's gonna explode this year and Kobe is playing really well. It seems like the lockout was a much needed break for him.
@GRiMxSG Yeah the Heat are picking up where they left off from last year. The team's itself and its chemistry has improved. IMO they are the strongest team in the NBA and probably the highest pick for a title contender. And yes, many people ignore it but I know that Kobe can't do it alone, there's always going to help needed for him, and whether its Bynum or Howard, a solid front court should do the Lakers well.
@LdreamerA Scary team. Kobe definitely can't do it alone. If he could, then the 2005-2006 Lakers would have won a title. Thunder are another interesting looking team and I think the Grizzlies will be nice too, but they lost a really solid role playing in Darrell Arthur.
@GRiMxSG I totally forgot about the thunder, Kevin Durant is only getting better at a young age and he has the right tools around him! But also, I think the Bulls are still a driving force, they are a pretty complete team, I love its capabilities and its hustle especially from Joakim's hustle. And their defense is just smothering, its scary haha.

Both teams did get better though, but I think the Heat getting Shane Battier might be more helpful than the Bulls getting Rip Hamilton. Also, Norris Cole is looking pretty impressive!
