Did that sticker for the stations come with the radio, and were they already pre-set? (Incidentally, theJazz doesn't exist anymore, and Virgin Radio is now Absolute Radio!)
Another way of recieveing the digital signal is by using the line out socket from the highway that can be plugged into the cars aux socket if fitted, Yes there are so many cables but there are ways of keepin them tidy & hidden for that matter
@shanksjacks1 This was in a 4x4 and it was in such a position that is caused no blind spots. Great comment though and very useful to others to take note. Thank you.
@shanksjacks1 maybe motorcycles shouldnt drive to fast, overtake like idiots and sit up most car's bumpers, then they might have more chance of being safe, nothing to do with badly placed DAB radios.
Simple no brainer on cost.....the Highway is available at around £60.....try getting a DAB radio for that much and also if your car has a non DIN radio.....then you've got no choice except to fit conversion kits which can be a nightmare and can look a complete mess in a modern ergonomic dash....
got one of these for christmas. Be warned! the stick on aerial is usless. was ok on the driveway not moving. as soon as I drove off, kept loosing all stations. Bought roof magnetic aerial from ebay £18. 100% improvement on the move. An essential piece of kit if you're buying the Pure Highway.
that problem can b resolved basically u can by this dashboard mounting adaptor used 4 the suction cup u can get in maplin as ive done on my car then its sorted
excellent review as always, looks to be a decent little receiver... my Alpine stereo says it's "satellite radio ready" but doesn't come stock with the necessary equipment to tune into anything digital, I might have to look into a comparable receiver once I've got some spending money to work with.
Great review as always Dave. I don't know about everyone else but while a product like this does indeed look useful, the amount of wires, and that massive arm/suction cup, along with the extra aerial would drive me insane. IMO it looks a mess and cheap.
Point taken, but if I were to install this permanently, the wires would be tidied and hidden where possible. I know what you mean though, I too hate wires all over the place.

@thepod96 Not sure about the sticker (long time ago), nothing was preset, you have to tune for your area.

just one thing. why do u stick the unit right in the middle of ur windscreen?
everytime i see a sat nav or phone holder stuck on the screen it is in the middle of the screen.
this is a giant blind spot...
i think if you are reviewing something like this the least you should do is point out that it is safe to put it to oneside out of ur view.
u may not like or care much about motorcycles. but i guess u would if it was a child on a bike that was lost from view

there is a lot of untidy wires though!

This has got to be the dumbest invention ever!
So you take a digital radio signal - then convert it to analog (FM) and send it to your car stereo.
Why not just replace your car radio with a digital receiver!!!!

Try filming with light from behind the camera so you can actually see the item instead of a silhouette.

good review mate. Only problem is my car has a heated front screen so one of these may not work.

Kinda cool. Definately better than a normal FM-transmiter.
Nice car too :D
