  • fucking amazing.

  • My goodness, how I love Bobby P.

  • I have a good question Bob - how do You handle hangover?

  • @KrelinLV it's near beer and tea in those bottles on stage. it's gotta be, how else can you explain it...

  • brilliant version. Cheers for the upload

  • This is brilliant...the big stars listen to GBV's...believe.

  • was wondering where and when this was recorded. By Bob's hair, I'd say 2002-3, but where?

  • I wonder if Dougie tuned his guitar to match the record? The one string is perfectly out of tune.

  • Life was too real, until you got there

  • this is such a great song. and the way its performed. Grrrrrrrrbeeeeeeer song

  • Bob's shows are such a mixture of beauty and hilarity. Great song, and awesome audience interaction. Please reunite and play the HITS. Boston Spaceships tour was such a tease.

  • I was at this show in 2001, The Catalyst, Santa Cruz CA. It changed my life forever and inspired me to form my band Fainting Goats.

    You rock Bob!

  • One of the most perfect songs ever written.

  • great song to sing in the shower, most respects

  • somwhere over the rainbow ...

    and after many lagers

    this is beautiful

    its like a kerouac poem

    thanks for this gem!

    love GBV!!

  • Gbv is still a huge band for me, they write thousand songs with robert, so now , I hope they give another record, obviously it will be great ! I hope robert go write !

  • I love this.

  • badd ASS!!!!!!!!

  • Best band ever. FACT. He couldn't sell the first pressing of this album, even 500 copies, so he and his friends used to have record throwing parties in his yard, where they would just throw them to the end of the garden. DOUBLE FACT. Same place is one of his best albums.

  • Yep. Such a shame they spilt up.

  • what a beautiful song

  • Damn, he's a great singer even while 3/4 drunk.

  • Same Place the Fly got smashed is their best album

  • Wish I could agree... but I can't.

  • wow - excellent! thanks

  • the last show i saw gbv play in dallas pollard said, "tonight we're going to play 50 anthems." he ended up getting too drunk about 15 songs in...he did one song laying down on the stage. i miss pollard's high kicks and microphone twirling (anyone who's gone to a show knows what i'm talking about

    ) G B V! G B V! G B V!

  • This video is typical of live GBV versions of this song. I have seen them play this song several times and he is great. We bought him beers, put them on the stage, and he just kept dinking them.

The song is can only be done by Bob.

  • isn't every gbv song a drinking song?...

  • wow - that gave me chills - thanks

  • This video just changed my life.

  • This is great live video of the band. In their "Guided By Verde" days, in other words when the "Musician's Guild" known as GbV had Cobra Verde backing Pollard in this phase of their career. Remember, kids. While six packs are tasty, 5 is the number of man, 6 is the number of Satan, and 7 is the number of God. So, either drink a 5 pack or a make your own 7-pack for you to enjoy with this song.

  • This is actually 2001, so it's post-Verde. Gillard was obviously still in the group, but you'll notice Tobias is on bass.

  • "This Monkey's Gone To Heaven"

  • too damn good...

Bobby Pop and the Geebs doin' a great "Drinkers Peace"...

    toppermost of the poppermost...!!!
