@TheFlemburger I believe they play music to soldiers in tanks and pilots in fighters etc to pump them up, raise their adrenalin, and detach them from the reality of what they are doing, ie murdering people who have never done anything to them. The idea is to make it all appear like a game. I don't think the intention is that the soldiers/pilots etc are supposed to think about the lyrics or anything else: they are not being encouraged to analyse, but rather the opposite.
