Even I understood this: he taxes you much less when your income is below 250k a year, and 3 percent more when you're doing well. It helps you get on the ladder easier. Can't see the problem, if I had over a quarter of a million a year coming in, I'd be more than satiisfied and just fine with 3 percent extra tax, especially if I got there because of the tax cuts when I started out.

The "capital gains tax cut" he references at the end has nothing to do with Joe raising his revenue from 250-500k. Capital gains are appreciation on investments. A plumbing business has no assets that make capital gains.
