beautiful voice great and a great arrangement in the operatic minor key. this great!!!!!!!******** in the usa the radio networks went out business and no good live music since 1959 in the usa. cbs radio was the last to eliminate geat music with great singers/orchestras. now in the usa the music is garbage. therefore, i depend on youtube for great music. ROGHARM thank you poster.
This is one prom concert I will regret forever not having been there. But to watch it live in TV was a great consolaton! Sir Thomas Allen's and Sarah Fox's performances were the highlights for me. I think I even fell in love with Sarah Fox that evening!
Fabulous! I have never heard of Sir Thomas Allen before, what an amazing soft and kind singing voice. Sarah too is fabulous! John Wilson is amazing to bring this all together. The orchestra is just magical! They all worked so hard. You can see the pleasure of the music on all their faces. Well done BBC! Well done to all involved! SIMPLY FANSTASTIC!
Thanks very much for posting. It's great to see Sir Thomas still in very fine voice here. I wonder whether you could post up the other songs he did as well that night.
Actually I still have it downloaded and I am trying to see if I can post to YouTube from it, but it will take some time. Sarah Fox knocks me out - not only an awesome voice but fabulous looks and charisma!
Wow... this is the first time I've ever heard her voice... that's simply beautiful. Astoundingly so. Her voice just soars...

I think Sarah could carry off her own television show, like Lesley Garrett did in 1989-2001 (see the videos I posted). Let's hope it happens one day!

No - it was Sarah Fox I was interested in, and I missed her first song. That is a Wagner voice! iPlayer is no use for posting on YouTube.
