"Sensitivity" has a huge psychological component. The human organism is far more resilient than we think. If you believe you will have a seizure from eating a burger, you probably will, not because you are so pure, but because you have already decided that that's how your body will react. The mind often determines how we react to stimulus. You would probably get the same effect from a placebo if you were convinced you were being subjected to the toxin.
Thank you so very much for your honesty, Matt. This was incredibly informative. I haven't heard this info anywhere else! I really appreciate it. Thanks for all you do!
Wouldn't it be great to have a place like in the country or rainforest where people who eat raw can live like in a community to prevent the traffic fumes and smoke and pollution so we can live clean and healthy. growing our own foods and living off the land basic and simple and happy, instead of eating, drinking and breathing toxins, being miserable and not fulfilling your purpose.
I feel like I am having a allergy attack when I go somewhere where cooking is happening. Get really congested and lightheaded. Feels like a panic attack
You bring to mind John the Baptist when i see you with your wild hair and hear about your food choices. (although i doubt you have eaten locusts you have probably had raw honey).
Very interesting perspective on sensitivity. I notice degrees of it with every health choice I made along the way. And sensitivity is definitely one thing I think about in regards to 100% raw. Being an alien as well. There are times and circumstances when even omnivores can have a hard time getting proper nutrients. Can't imagine the difficulties sometimes keeping it raw. Are there things you do when you know you'll be facing various health challenges because of events or travel?
I get violently sick with a severe migraine around cig smoke (I grew up around smokers) and I am not raw - the smoke sensitivity isnt likely to be due to just raw
funny!!! maybe I'll detox my husband and give a massive dose of maca!!!LOL, I have become sensitive to tons of things also. I am eating only about 70%raw, when I eat at family or friends who do not eat organic I get sick and headaches. I never wanted to be that person that takes food with me but I have no other choice. thanks for the info, most raw foodies say go 100%, you and Kevin motivate us to do what works for our own bodies and not feel guilty for doing less than 100%.
After completely eliminating all junk/processed foods from your diet your hearing becomes sensitive, eyes get better, smell becomes more sensitive. Your mind just 'wakes up'. I totally know what you're talking about when you feel like you're an alien on your own world haha. :p
I became really sensitive after starting a very healthy diet. I thought I had an infection once and the doctor gave me ciprofloxacin. Caused tendinitis, insomnia, neuropathy, and lots of other things that took a year to 'mostly' go awsay. I've been eating mostly raw low calorie diet for 6 years. Even when others are smoking I now am very sensitive to it, my body just completely rejects it and I can't be near it at all. I'm sure you're not alone here.
I avoid sugar altogther i don't get any negatives with it, but then again I'm not 100% raw yet.

If I didn't know any better, I'd assume he was stoned.
smurfieboo,
cacao is the actual name for cocoa, which is an anglicization.
Banofee is banana and toffee, so I am confused by what Angela is saying about the candy she's eating.
Hmm, I think I'm getting a contact high from this vlogpost . . .

Matt, what's the diff between cocoa and cacao?
smurfieboo 3 years ago 2
Goji berries give me a euphoric high when I ever eat them.
Kind of addicting

Just about any fruit will give you a high Zip.

A euphoric high? I experience a rush when I eat fruit, but certain fruits have different experiences...I think Zip was illustrating that
