Naruto is a comercial product for bratz with super stereotyped characters make it to the little boys can to identify with they. Hunter x Hunter is a great history with originals characters that break away from traditional cliches.
@Alalalalala11 Kurapika is different. ah, though HxH is Psych-intel style, it does possess a very captivating emotional side...Kurapika's character is very different from Sasuke's. Kurapika felt regret for killing Pakunoda and Ubogin whereas Sasuke never showed regret over his past hatred of Itachi. he never blamed himself for anything and made others carry all the blame. but of course Sasuke's actions are also justifiable. all in all he is VERY different compared to Kurapika.
not that they're the SAME, but both animes have principles of trainings(hunter exam, chunin exam) and specializations(Nen, Chakra, proper controls and elements). Mangakas figured out that the story would be more interesting to readers if the main protagonist started from scratch then slowly progressing into a master. HxH and Naruto however, both have the same concepts.
@Alalalalala11 In concept, they have some similarities but the dialogue and characterization are absolutely different. Hunter X Hunter has the psychological-intellectual approach while Naruto is more on the physical-emotional appeals. To me, HxH is of course the superior one. It depends actually on the preference of the viewer if he/she can appreciate the details of the series. HxH is a series where even the antagonist becomes like a protagonist. it also mentions social structures & the like. ;)
