Listen to the strings flow in this song. You can just feel the rhythm moving you. And when the song creshendos, it is like riding a wave through a Celtic forest on a mighty and narrow river! Listening to all the instruments and voices forming together for that incredible sound!

And this song just makes me happy cause vocals sound like they're happy. Its not real words (I read that these "words" aren't a real language but a tool to make the voice used more of an instrument) but you can tell the song is a happy song just by the voice and instruments.

It puts a smile on my face everytime I listen to this thats for sure!

The name of the piece is Celtic (St. Declan is an Irish saint) and the drone refers to the bagpipe drone (that bass growl a bagpipe emits all the time it is pumped up). In this song a drone is played by a woodwind before the chorus comes in. A true drone plays just one horribly sustained note that only a Celt could love :) , so you just get the flavor of it in this song.

The drum in this is the Irish Bodhran. The violin is typically Celtic in tone; the instrumental parts could have been taken right of of Riverdance, you can even hear the taps on he dancing shoes in the first section.

It is not a lenguage, Adiemus is use the voice like an instrument. Others say that he is recobring an older form of comunication when only existed the sound. Sorry, I love my spanish, so my english is bad.

prosperitycraft: Stockley (who is South African) may be the singer but Karl Jenkins is the composer and lyricist. He is Welsh, which no doubt adds something of the Celtic flavor. I don't think Stockley has anything to do with any African sound to the music; she has a quite pure British voice, and besides, she is a soloist and may not even be singing in he chorus in this piece. An African sound is usually an effect of the rhythm, drums and wood block percussion, as in the Adiemus track itself.
