Sorry my English is very bad.

  • could you connect it to a bigger sound board?

  • about $218 on guitar center guys

  • how much is this for ???

  • How to connect the firewire cable to computer?

  • @triflek with the firewire cable.

  • @triflek yes i have the same question

  • is this only for vocals and can you record guitar parts with it also?

  • You can stack the vocals using the audacity software. It's free on the internet also. It allows you to record & layer the vocals/recordings within the software.

  • HOW DO YOU HAVE TO CONNECT THEM!!!

  • Does it work with Windows 7 ?

  • the usb version looks a bit cheaper quality, yes i know because usb is slower, but the microphone isn't what i want, can any microphone be used with the USB version? like if i got the B-2 Microphone or the C-1, would they work with it?

  • @RLew69 if it hax an XLR connector, it'll work

  • this was very helpfull i think im gonna buy it

  • how excatly can I use this in terms of recording vocals. Can I stack vocals. Can I stop and go or do I have to record all at once? Can I do back up vocals too? Just a few things I like to know if anyone can help me out

  • i would like to know if the version your announcing is firewire only or firewire and usb?

  • How would i use this package for midi for my keyboard, i need 2 kno if i can b4 i buy this??!!

  • DOSE DISS WORK WITH FIREWIRE 1394 CABLE?

  • does this come with cables??,im thinking of getting this to start recording and would like to know before ordering if i also need to get cables with it

  • @SiantDread he says that the box comes with all the cables you need :).

  • can you use to mics and to headphones ?

  • Please help me, I use a blue snowball usb microphone with this podcaststudio? is there a usb input thing? or is there a thing that i can use to hook up my usb mic to it?

  • @totalyradtwin USB microphones capture their own sound and do not need to be connected to a sound card or audio interface like this one, but if available you could buy a usb to xlr cable and use the mic in the mixer. The mixers mic requires xlr. You can still benefit from the better sound from the audio interface even though you recorded your sound from the usb mic.

  • @fridrikur You can import the audio track into your recording system and get better sound with this audio interface than you would with your built in soundcard, so everything is not lost.

  • i bought it yesterday but i dont know how to install it to much wires i want to know is the firewall where does that goes because in the computer dont fit there and there is a smaller one looks like an ipod dont want to use the ipod is the lap top to sing allready

  • @jayviemrican It is not a firewall but a firewire connection. You plug the firewire cable into your computer i1394 port. You just need one cable to connect it to the computer and that is the firewire cable. But your computer needs to have a firewire port. Good luck!

  • Would this only be good for recording vocals or could you use that mic to record guitar and bass too?

  • i wanna rcord drums and guitar, what sshould i buy

  • Is this some little home radio station ?

  • yeah, u can do whatever u want. make your own music or podcast it's really nice :)

  • can anybody answer.... i want to make some music with myself rapping. can i do this with this package

  • @yukkguyg Yeah this is exactly what you need. Im not sure what software comes with it but you should record with Audacity (free) instead of the included software.

  • yup

  • yes is great you can get cheap BEHRINGER PODCASTUDIO USB

  • this mic is a piece of crap.

Don't buy it guys, I have one of these mics and it is not good.

    Behringer sucks.

  • would you be able to record drums with this?

  • can i rap with it

  • yep

  • yes you can do anything with it

  • has someone tried to plug in a guitar with that?

does it work? can you also use programs like Guitar rig or something like that?

  • i've seen a guy use the mixer with guitar but i'm about to buy it all for guitar and drums and i'll let you know how it sounds

  • yh you can use it for guitars keyboards n tht

  • Would this be a good product to begin recording drums?

  • yes but you will need more mics and a bigger mixer

  • don't buy this shit!!. the mixer has a very bad soundquality

  • at 1:54 THAT MAN said..connect the Firewire interface with the mixer via the CD/TAPE INPUT and OUTPUT. The manual says use MIXER IN LINE 3/4 and OUT via MAIN OUT..... Maybe that is why i have 'track bleeding'. I will get the cables/adapters at JAYCAR in the morning and try WHAT THE MAN SAYS. Those manuals are like some secret 'DadigiCode'. Having with Podacastudio all the same.

  • is it on the usb version also? ;D

  • can you plug in an elevtric guitar in it without an amp?

  • thnaks alot man...do you recomned this product?

  • its a mixer... so.. yeah

  • sorry im a bit confused....

does your computer/laptop have to have 2 firewire ports?

  • does this works with vista?

  • yeah.

  • thanks....is that i read this a musicians friend

I'll start by saying this: If you use Vista (32/64) then DO NOT BUY this. The FCA202 interface will not work with either OS. They have links on their site to the beta drivers for Vista 32 but it just kicks you to the home page. I've tried to contact their support with no results as of yet. I have a backup XP system that I can use it on though. I'd expect them to release them at some point though... Keep checking.

    is that true?

  • once again another sub-standard behringer rip-off... don't buy it at all... ever, no matter how poor you are!! haha.

  • meh, the audio interface still beats hercules, bruv.

The mic and the headphones suck, ofcourse...

  • does anyone know if you can plug in instruments in the stereo inputs with a decent result?

  • depends on what kind of instruments

you can plug in guitars with good result usually

but if its electric make sure you have an amp infront of it

you could also plug in a keyboard with little-to-no hassle

  • WTF dude, Norton is a shite prog, plus there are free alternatives.

    FAIL!

  • can anyone tell me if this interface will work with Vista?

also, can anyone give me an idea of how low i could get the latency running it in ableton live?

  • does it support ASIO and would it work with guitarRig 3 or ReValver ?

  • i just bought this...good or bad decision

  • It's great, the equitement and all that, but, i dont like the software. Ableton Live.

  • so, can you record with another software but with the equipment?

  • Crap!

  • U still have to buy phantom power to use tha mic included

  • what are you talking about dude ? The Behringer XENYX 802 got an phantom power supply..

  • fuck yeah 802

  • The Phantom Power is on the Mix Board

  • thats a JIP!!! The usb bundle doesn't come with a condenser mic and vice versa...

  • It does come with a Condenser Mic.

  • These "demo" videos might be a tad bit better if you actually demo'd the product, lol. Or at least let us know about the quality: build, sound, qual vs price, etc.

Everything you've told us can just be read off of the Behringer's website - just a basic description.

Rate it on how good it works... does it buzz, hum, etc. Is the mic good, headphones, fit, finish, etc.

Seriously... this is the info people want. Give it to them.

  • I agree. In addition, I want to know - if this will work on my Dell XPS M1330 Laptop running on window vista!

  • i don't understand what is that firewire thing. Could someone explain me please =) thanks.

  • whats podcast studio going for ? thanks gb

  • Anyone knows if this equipment is compatible with Ubuntu 8.04

  • I'm probably going to get one, I'll let you know.

  • i understand that there are USB and firewire but would it work if i bought a firewire version and then got a USB interface for it instead?

  • im looking for a way to get somewhat of a high quality recording of my electric guitar and some vocals. mostly i would use this to get stuff down for my band to hear it and also as a demo for my solo project. i play alot of jazz and blues. would the firewire system be good for me, or do you think i should look at something slightly more professional?

  • this package is the best choice, you'll get very good quality for you money, just think about how could cost all that stuff separately... Firewire works just fine, but I have not idea if 1ms of latency (at 96 khz) will satisfice your needs, if you'd think live editing or recording by tracks, etc.

Sure, you may pay for some better, but how much will it cost?

  • Yes, this package would work just fine for a small home-recording set up. The mixer has 1/4" jacks that you can plug your guitar into for direct-in recording. Or you could get an instrument mic and record it that way.

Just keep in mind that it is available in both Firewire and USB versions, so be sure to get the one that will be the most compatible with your computer set-up.

  • hi. Do you know how i conect the firewire to my pc?

I would like to buy the firewire podcastudio.

  • you need a firewire port on the back of your computercase (it´s on the mainboard..) you also can buy a Firewire to USB controller to connect it

  • Oddly enough - even though USB 2.0 supports faster transfer than Firewire - USB 2.0 still has latency issues.

Firewire - while old tech - is the preferred interface.

  • There are Drivers who reduce the latency. How ever, every transer function got some latency, it won´t never be 0,0s

  • Would this package suit home music recording for singing and guitar playng? Is there a source that connects to the guitar, like a pick up?
