Hey IBlown, I am in NZ and finding mounts and the extra pulley for the SC14 for my VY V6 is a right pain, do you know of anywhere I can get the mounts and forward facing fitting for the intercooler pipe for my ecotec for a reasonable price?, PM me if possible thanks
@IBLOWN Thanks I have already contacted them and they said they stopped making them 2 years ago and couldn't help, I'll guess I'll just make some myself, BTW where did you route your intercooler plumbing as I'm in the process of setting things up similar to how you have/had yours with the reversed plenum, thanks
@IBLOWN Also where do you mount the top bracket, where do you bolt it to, I am guessing I'll use the old coil pack bolt holes and possibly the exhaust bolts for the lower mounts but for the top one I am unsure where I could bolt it onto safely, cheers
@Menace2Sobriety83 I mounted the cooler down low so i could easily route the piping. Straight down behind the rad into the cooler then straight up to the plenum. Plenty of room.
The reversing of the plenum i did by cutting off the T/B, cutting the same amount off the other side them welding them back in.
The top bracket was screwed in a hole in the inlet manifold. Not sure what it used to do but its a blind hole. its like the first hole where the manifold starts on the right.

@Menace2Sobriety83 I pissed my aircon compressor off and found that the standard belt fit perfectly. Im not sure which belt suits if the aircon is still there but i know its a ford belt.

I have a 96 vs acclaim, and im at the point where I could either keep modifying it, or sell it and buy somethin newer, but after seeing your car and reading all the forums, I know how potent the 3.8l ecotecs can be. Yours runs a 12.7 on stock internals, thats amazing.
A quick question, do you think the sc14 'charger is better than the factory commodore chargers or did you choose the sc14 cause it was cheaper at the time?
yeah mate easy as, like iblown said you can make the kit up and buy the blower off ebay. ive done plenty off them on all different commodores. good bang for your buck. only thing is if you dont remap your ecu you will have to intercool it. also depends on the climate\where u live.
love the car i have a vr with the buick engine stage 2 shift kit 3.7 shimmed lsd stage 3 cam shaved heads ported tt body manifold and roller rockers stock bottom end jsut wondeering what ecu your running and how much boost i would run a cooler on mine but bit scared about punching a hole in a piston and i dont want a capa or a rc
It does seem to rev out quicker than my later model vx v6 (just under 200rwhp) but yeah I have to agree with the sound of the noise... Maybe some dynamat-like product could help if you lined the bonnet/bay/firewall.. but it would still be loud Im thinking. One thing I did notice is how you couldn't make 2nd and spin/fishy which is something that Raptor S/C has going for it. Or Can you?

ha ha the anticipation is the best bit. nah its not that bad actually. starts building boost round 2k and full boost at 2750. i had 220rwkw@3400 last dyno run. had fuel and boost issues though. but not bad for a standard l36.

Got to WSID tonight. Only got to do one run due to the rain. Posted a 16.182 @ 84.60MPH. Very slow 60' time @ 2.391. Well it tells me the LSD is good but I need to trick the Auto to get the full potential of the Raptor Supercharger when it goes on.

Toyota 1GGZE blower. No wastegate though. You mean blow off valve. You can see the BOV in the intercooler piping going into the T/B.
