  • @jazminelovenicki The West Indians are loud because they're obviously winning and enjoying themselves at the game. Of course they would shut up, it's kind of hard to cheer whilst eating. He gives them fried chicken because it's a KFC ad. Not because of some stereotype that is irrelevant to every country in the world except USA.

  • oh silly americans, i didnt know that america had a cricket team only supported by african americans

  • this video is a FAIL theyoungturks are the farthest thing from racist YOU just have no life so you had to edit the video and make them look like there racist also, being black myself i didn't think the ACUAL video was racist at all BECAUSE IT WASN'T!!!

  • @jazminelovenicki they may not be racist but they are IGNORANT when it comes to this commercial

  • @P3B34r The COMMERCIAL is ignorant not them

  • @jazminelovenicki WRONG AGAIN... They are ignorant because they shoot off their mouths without understanding the context of the commercial It has nothing to do with American stereotypes, people in the commercial are not portrayed as uncivilized. You are ignorant because you fail to understand context and see things only from your own perspective.

  • @P3B34r There's a civilized WHITE guy with a bunch of loud crazy ass people (who are most likely West Indians but look no different from African Americans) and then when you give them FRIED CHICKEN (everyone knows the stereotype about black people and fried chicken) they shut up -__- really that doesn't appear to be even a little racist, maybe if you loked at it from an African American point of view instead of just YOUR point of view you would notice that

  • @jazminelovenicki Am I missing something? They describe the way they support their country as "unruly, uncivilised, loud" etc.. Just because it may seem weird to an American audience, doesn't make it weird to the rest of the world. How dare they call the West Indians uncivilised. That is racist.

Also, the fact that they bring up the colour of their skin, rather than the colour of their clothes, strengthens my argument further. Racist and ignorant to other cultures. Shame on them...

  • @rxonez1 The west indians are loud and the white guy is quite in his seat and then when the white guy gives them fried chicken they shut the fuck up, thats what your missing

  • People that are too uncomfortable to see people dance and sing that they have to equate it with racism rather than just cultural differences are in fact racist.

  • TYTs claim that it stereotypes black people as being "unruly" and "uncivillised". Even refers to the West Indian supporters in it as "African Americans", wtf.. So this person edited YT videos by adding actual footage of West Indian supporters to show American's that they are in fact loud and festive at cricket games, and that they are NOT African American people, NOT. And Americans still dont get it? Maybe you should remake the video and slow it down for them with a point by point presentation.

  • Comment removed

  • Haha, way to twist the video. U worthless piece of shit

  • @dopeintellect1 this video showed real life footage of the west indian supports behaving like they always have, with passion, singing, dancing, drums, horns. No BS. But TYT's are trying to say that the add is portraying black people as rowdy and uncivilised, when in fact its an accurate description of the west indians at a game, its all part of cricket culture. And they were in Aus at the time playing us, and KFC are the major sponsors of cricket Australia. Does that make sense?

  • Ahh TYT. Just as bad a FOX.

  • @skezbo77 yeah, but Fox isn't Australian nor nearly as xenophobic as the Young Turks

  • Nice editing to make them seem racist.

  • @zeTrojan hate to tell you but THEY ARE. How would you feel if it was an Australian broadcast making similar accusations about Americans?

  • @nichenet Well seeing as I'm from australia, I wouldn't give a shit about America being trashed, besides, the country is pretty much fucked from here on out from what I see, around 46% of people don't think they can vote for someone who will help America, in 2008, that number was 11%.

a little off topic right there but, who cares, it's america.

  • @nichenet I am actually Australian and I know the point you're trying to make, but you're wrong. I find Aussies jump straight into the race debate without understanding the actual context of things. The KFC ad wasn't intentionally racist, but it does offend.

And speaking as somebody who works in advertising, the people who made this ad were idiots. Even though they didn't mean it to be racist, their job is to make sure the company doesn't go around inadvertantly causing offense.

  • @crazedmongoose03 I work in advertising as well and I know for a fact that each country of a multinational organization handles its own campaigns unless its an international campaign. No-way Aussies working on an campaign for Australia would know of American stereotypes. Its a stupid ad because its lame & not as clever as its trying to be but lets face it so many people in advertising are fuckwits. Its in no way racist and the Americans wrong to force their own stereotypes.

  • I can not speak for everyone obviously, but in the U.S., black people are perceived as these rowdy folks that just want to cause harm to establishment and be loud...and that's what that Australian ad did. It displayed blacks being loud and rowdy.

  • @PercyCTV Exactly the reason why they tried to keep it out the the US. If you were Australian, Indian, West Indie, English, South African etc. you would understand (from being at a west indie game) that they LOVE to have a mini carnival where they sit, it's actually pretty fun. And the awkwardness of the Australian fan stuck in the west indie crowd is that he is of the opposite team and can't really join in. The KFC is something that they can all share and eat together.

  • @TheSirPrise Thanks for informing me on how you perceive the KFC ad. :)

  • @TheSirPrise Well said!

  • @PercyCTV but they aren't. There were NO African Americans in the ad. The ad showed West Indies supports as they are...as the rest of the civilzed world accepts them. But hey, why accept that there are other people of African origin other than those in Amercia right, because that's what you are saying.

  • @PercyCTV no. It displayed the west indian cricket team, who were playing Australia at the time, dancing chanting and supporting their team with passion, the way they have done for decades. And the Aussie guy just sitting in the wrong crowd. And KFC are the major sponsor of cricket Australia. Do your research and connect the dots.

  • @ELseizure I don't have interest for KFC because I don't like it. Thanks for informing me though.

  • @PercyCTV Um, not sure why your telling me that. But ok, whatever..

  • @PercyCTV your the knob who sees loud and rowdy black people. They are not being rowdy, they are celebrating and having fun at a cricket match ALL CRICKET FANS ARE LIKE TAT. There are no African Americans in the Ad... TYT are the racists claiming all black people are the same.

  • @P3B34r I didn't say African Americans. I said black peolpe in general. One of the sterotypes that are different than the one's in your country. I'm just saying that if KFC was to play that here in the U.S., that's what most of viewers would hate thought.

    *I'm done*

  • Most rowdy and unruly people in the world are supporters of football (soccer) teams in England and Northern Ireland. With the " Fuck you you fenian scumbags" chants, and the "You lanky wanker". And most of the supporters are indeed white.

But damn that bitch is one ignorant asshole! Windies supporters aren't African-American there Caribbean!

  • Oh, and to head off the obligatory "well, you're American, you would say that" comment. No, I'm not, I'm Australian.

  • My god how dumb is the poster of this vid? There is a rhetorical concept known as irony. I suggest that you look it up before you go off on an uninformed rant like this

  • young turks are hella racist no doubt about it. all the hate youre getting in the comments is probably coming from americans. don't worry mate as a global citizen, I can clearly see the discrimination coming from those two

  • @Eljonno

You know what sarcasm is right?

  • I like how you use the clips where their sarcasm is obvious.

  • dumb you took this way of context and you know it!!

  • Looks like someone took a TYT video and chopped it up with windows movie maker. Lol fail troll.

  • @HyperTheProfessor no my friend, you're the only one using Windows.

  • @nichenet Regardless of the operating system or software used in this fail troll video. Still a fail troll 0/10 :\

Sorry that's the best I can give you.

  • Lol mad Australians

  • america loves pointing out racism when in fact they are guilty of it in so many ways. america admit your racist and 'be a man'!

i live in australia and its un-australian to not be racist. hey im an immigrant, but i give it to people who come in after me, knowing that those people will give it to people coming after them. GO HARD OR GO HOME! i love australia... america grow up!!

  • TYT SUCKSSS ITS A STUPID SHOW

  • They're not being racist at all, they are just ignorant to the sub-culture of West-Indian cricket fans.

  • This is ridiculous - TYT was commenting on how stupid the commercial was because the COMMERCIAL was being racist. Watch the unedited clip the message is completely the opposite of this asinine clip.

  • Abolish racism in America now! You are all equally ignorant and stupid but at least in response to non-events like this ad you stick together which is a pleasant change considering you're the sick puppies who invented the stereotype. No we don't have Republicans down here and if we did I'd still vote Labour... >sigh< "Democrat". You look at the world and judge it by your own standards. Racist. Ignorant. Xenophobic. Too dumb to understand other forms of racism than "Hey boy, backadabus!"

  • @kmhno TYT is being racist towards all humans of African descent outside America by taking away their licence to independence and individuality from the all important African American because Americans are dumb isolationist xenophobes who mostly only care abour themselves. Big ups for jumping to defend black America but you "lasso, wrangle and colonise" West Indians to do it. They aren't African Americans. They aren't offended (check for yourself). This ad is accidentally offensive NOT racist.

  • Um. This is clearly sarcasm. WTFFF!!!

  • @SmaragdineSage One video - maybe. Tons of videos - no

  • this vid is so out of context im not sure if u ment it as a joke or not

  • Uhm, this i so out of context it's a joke.

  • Wow this video is ridiculous. The Young Turks aren't racist!

  • Comment removed

  • really? this video was completely twisted around to make it seem like tyt is being racist. Ana is talking in her "sarcastic tone". obviously you haven't watched the show enough to understand these people. get real.

  • @jford2032

well obviously the young turks and you don't know enough about Australia or cricket to understand the ad.

  • how out of context is this? Republican scum, hope all you republicans DIE.

  • @crazycake93 Were you actually born this stupid?

  • am i the only person who gets what this kid is trying to say? TYT is so desperste to talk about racism that they will say KFC commercials accurately portraying black cricket fans are racist. if you're a guilty white person who can't have a clear conscience unless you suck a black dick every day, that's fine. just keep it to yourself. it's just silly to put a suit and tie, with reading glasses on every black person on tv. this causes them all to look like erckel. which is even more racist.

  • actually, the young turks say everything is racist against every race other than white people. they're somehow trying to make white people afraid to even say anything in fear of being called RACIST, thats all they talk about; what a white person said that makes him in our new idea racist.

  • Yeah it's taken out of context but that stupid hoe did say african american. WTF?? Since when did west indians become american?? she needs some anal sex....like now

  • Yaaaay for selective editing! /headdesk

  • what do you expect from a Nation of dumb fucking prison inmates. haha

  • The video is ridiculous!!! Are they making stereotypes of people at a sports event? Most people at sports, like Basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, football, and etc. tend to be acting wild, except for maybe golf.

  • Ok. So the Young Turks demonstrates how ignorant and dickheads they are, for they stereotype us Aussies as being "racist" all because of a silly ad directed poorly. So let me get this straight, just because an Australian ad displays "racism", automatically defines all Australians "racist"? Can you say ignorance and bias?? And to think that they'd have their own program. I'm sorry USA, you have yourselves a fukn embarrassment.

  • epic fail you moron

  • by the way im australian also, you took EVERYTHING they said out of context and choped and edited it to make them look racist. you are a fucking retard.

  • to the person who made this video: you fail life. end it.

  • OMFG. This stereotype is "racist" to you americans because this stereotype lives in your fukn country. In Australia, a black man can eat chicken without anyone thinking badly or stereotypically of him. Jesus Christ, all you Americans think other countries live off your ideals.

  • @dvcuz03

All you Australians are idiots because you think all Americans stereotype. See what I did there?

  • Comment removed

  • @PiefaceclownPrdctns Hmmmm. I wonder why? Maybe the reason why I stereotyped you Americans in the same manner you Americans stereotype us Australians, was to emphasize the idea that your ignorance has had a major influence on us Australians. Have you thought of that?? Clearly not.

  • @PiefaceclownPrdctns aaaand. Reality is, a media channel originating from your country (despite how small/popular may be) demonstrating how ignorant they are, having the nerve to stereotype us Aussies as being "racist" all because of a silly ad directed poorly. So let me get this straight, just because an Australian ad displays "racism", automatically defines all Australians "racist"? Can you say ignorance and bias??

  • @freakykiki69 they are wearing west indian shirts and playing calypso music, every Australian that watched this ad, (which only aired here) knew this, all we see is an australia in a group of opposition supporters and offers them kfc ( which is the major sponser of both teams) this fried chicken sterotype DOES NOT APPLY IN AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!

  • Nichenet, as many others have said, you took this video video completely out of context. Instead of trying to explain over and over that you're Australian, how about explaining the disingenuous nature of your editing?

  • A Turkish guy, an Armenian women, a black American, a Latino and a Jew all work for this show, that is pretty much the entire crew. How is it that you could possibly think these people are racists?

  • @NavarCrowbarr I mean seriously, How much more diverse a group does it take to prove to you that they aren't racists? Do they need a Nazi, or little a Gray man?

  • @NavarCrowbarr Yeah because you cannot be racist if you're not white. Your statement portrays that you your self think in racial categorisation...

They are racist because they applied an African American stereotype to West Indians..

Do you not see how ignorant that is..?

They judged the West Indians based on their skin colour..

  • @freakykiki69 how is it racist the colour of their skin is irrelevant to the ad.

  • I love it when the guy who makes the video leaves people coming away with the opposite point he was trying to make.

    TYT: 1.

    This dude: 0.

  • The Young Turks are quintessential knee-jerk ignoramuses. They have no idea about the close relationship between Australians and West Indians which has been forged through Cricket. It's the same retarded shit we see from MSNBC if somebody criticises one of Obama's policies, they get called a racist.

  • Context. It is important. That or someone can't hear sarcasm. Or is just a slimy little cheat with no honour who will resort to anything to smear anyone his particular ideology disagrees with.

  • @TherealMrChristophel I love that as an American you automatically presume that as an Australian I have some sort of ideology bias based on your politics. And that's the point I make here: we're not like you, we're not American. These ppl apply YOUR values on us....not ideology, but in your case, American cultural fascism.

  • @nichenet lol i'm british, and so therefore pollitically unbiased. FOR WE HAVE THE BBC!

  • @nichenet I still find it funny that even after you showed how Australian, English , Sri Lankin, Indian and West Indian cricket fans act at a cricket match and even how NFL fans act people still see black and racism. People implying this ad is racist are obviously of subnormal intelligence or just trying to provoke people in the hope they will say something racist. I don't think you could of made your clip any simpler, so I'm going with subnormal intelligence.

  • The only thing you left out is that the West Indies toured that Summer meaning the ad would of been pointless if KFC had him in a group of English supporters.

  • @nichenet you're a really bad troll

  • @nichenet I really dislike this video because it is taken completely out of context. Anna and Jayar were referring to how they DIDNT like the angle of the add. And you're right, you're not american, you guys dont have the same values. Maybe you guys dont have the "all blacks love fried chicken" stereotype, but in the u.s. we do, so our automatic reaction is that this add is being stereotypical in a harmful way. Maybe it's wrong for us to judge an australian add based on american stereotypes, but

  • @nichenet that is our initial response. We look at it from our point of view, in our eyes, its extremely stereotypical. Hey, guess what? Youtube is an american-based website, TYT is an american show, if you dont expect "american ideology" here, what do you expect? I dont agree that its racist because i think this add was just reflecting to the culture of that area, but we most people saw it out of context.

  • @darkprincess1012 It doesnt matter that Youtube is American... the internet is global, do you know Google/Youtube have offices all over the world including Australia, therefore it is a global organisation. Yeah we know TYT is american so why should they take Aussie ads out of context and apply their own prejudices to it... Because they are IDIOTS, glad you think that its not racist, your a credit to your country but TYT make americans seem ignorant and should be ashamed.

  • @P3B34r Yes, but TYT is an american show. All i'm trying to say is that EVERYONE in this argument is being stupid. Americans are being stupid for only looking at it from their point of view, and the Australians who are mad are stupid for not understanding that there is a stereotype in America. I dont think they were wrong in making the ad, and I dont think any american is wrong for being offended. I DO think its wrong for them to critisize an add when they dont know the cultural context.

  • @darkprincess1012 .... we're kinda of on the same page. Aussies now know about the sterotype... we didn't before americans picked on the ad... the stereotype still doesn't apply to the ad despite TYT claiming they don't care about context... I think i'm going to leave this one alone now.

  • @P3B34r Just like how the ppl mad at americans are wrong for not understanding the american cultural context. I feel like a lot of people on the internet are just looking to bash any nation and anyone. You generalized americans as idiots, and also TYT (who actually have great news shows). Who is the one being the most prejudiced?

  • nichenet is probably an idiot Republican

  • @dalonz0 Yeah, because as an Australian naturally I subscribe to AMERICAN politics. What sort of dumb fuck are you?

  • @nichenet I'm a dual citizen, I split my time evenly between the states and Australia, and am currently studying international relations pursuing a bachelor of fine arts, new media.

Also, it doesn't take an American to figure out when someone is pulling a fast one, like you did with this video

  • I'm convinced of their Racism now after watching watching the Video of where they made fun of Osama Bin Ladens son.

  • This entire video is full of quote mining. How about you show the real video, instead editing the entire thing. Your vid is full of fail

  • @ashunga543 you seem to miss the point: their original was full of selective editing and no context. This is simple a response to that. The claim that somehow that behavior was racist we simply put in PROPER context here, or do u disagree that fans of all colors behave that way? TYT are the guilty party here

  • @nichenet

This is a dishonest video because Ana Kasparian was characterizing how the video portrays the fans, not her own views of the fans.

    Fail video.

  • @DiverseLA wrong. She applied her own wrong American standard on an AUSTRALIAN video that portrays people from the WEST INDIES. She's the racist here.

  • @nichenet No you're wrong. How about watching the whole original video instead of your edited, purposely slanted piece of garbage. I understand the "chicken" stereotype doesn't exist in Australia but it does in the US so I can see why it may offend someone.

  • @ashunga543 that may be true. But have you ever thought that the Young Turks may have been biased? If you saw the full video, bias and plain ignorance is clearly evident. Yet alone, to stereotype a whole race based on a poorly directed advertisement is quite stupid, is it not? Have you ever thought of that? Clearly not.

  • @ashunga543 TYT is full of fail and extremely offensive in its arrogant and presumptuous American ethnocentrism pushing American racial stereotypes on Australians.

  • TYT is being racist towards all humans of African descent outside America by taking away their licence to independence and individuality from the all important African American because Americans are dumb isolationist xenophobes who mostly only care about themselves. Big ups for jumping to defend black America but you "lasso, wrangle and colonise" West Indians to do it. They aren't African Americans. They aren't offended (check for yourself). This ad is accidentally offensive NOT racist.

  • @ashunga543 Yeah, because editing is such a bad thing, right ? TYT use edited videos and short clips ALL THE TIME on their shows. But it's alright, because they criticize conservatives and when you criticize conservatives, you can do anything you want, even LIE blatantly ! But when you criticize TYT, you absolutely have to leave every fucking second of the video in !!! You can't edit anything, because all of sudden, it becomes a crime !

  • @ashunga543 Well, when a professional entity, or an entity which tries to look professional, as the young turks are doing, go out of their ways to make extreme comments against something which they have not done their research into and come off looking like huge idiots, people in the know tend to make videos to show how big of fools they are looking in the international cricketing communities eyes. I, being educated on the entire issue, know that this is an appropriate representation of theturks

  • @ashunga543

Agree these guys should really be called Young Turds.

  • Can Whites be racist to Whites? cause here TYT are defending the black folks! They are racist to whom? Actually watch the real video @ tyt - this is edited to make it look like this...

  • @im10xyz And even if they were 100% black at TYT, generally - falsely accusing sb of racism doesn't mean you ARE racist, it means you're wrong and maybe hypersensitive.

But I think this clip tries to make an even more childish claim. While TYT were doing obviously ironic spokesmanship for the stereotypical subtly racist reflections "look at those rowdy ppl", the clip challenges this literally with "did she just call them uncivilised?" Lame.

Jayar btw came out quick and took the call back.

  • so ironic to see americans call them racist. look in the mirrow you disgusting animal, raping woman in iraq on a daily base, killing afghans daily 'by mistake', trying to conquer middle east by so called 'peace actions'. i have never seen such a nation, never seen such people.in turkey we see every day what america is doing in afghanistan. you massacred blacks, native americans by the millions.. murdering, stealing and by jewish ruled nation.

  • as a turk i want all americans dead and i want america crushed along with israel who is trying to destroy Turkey for more than 80 years. and i can say that 80% of the turks thinks like this. there will be one day that we will make this happen. messing with arabs is one thing. but being 2-faced against turks is a mistake you cant make twice. death to america

  • Yet another pathetic attempt by the right to slander people on the left, yet end up making themselves look like idiots.

Taken out of context, poorly edited, and borderline retarded.

Keep it up morons, you only help progressives.

  • @2edsajdmsa yep, because naturally as an Australian I subscribe to American politics and this is some bizarre republican conspiracy.

Are you people really so stupid that you can't see that the whole world isn't like America and that we don't all share you're stupid biases?

  • @nichenet Yes, they really are this stupid.

  • @nichenet And don't forget we don't care what the Americans think stuck in the own little world stupid Yanks its always Look at us

  • @nichenet uhm, how the fuck did you manage to get the idea that this video was racist? TYT are discussing a clearly racist commercial and you dumb australians call TYT racists.. Besides, show the full video you moron. And no, I'm not american so don't come with this "Yanky's are stupid argument". Australians aren't that much more sofisticated.

  • @kmhno uh huh and as a Norwegian you really shouldn't be taking the moral high horse on issues like this, google The West Indies for some reference and you'll see why your gross assumption is incredibly wrong.

  • @kmhno Nice spelling and grammar...Really showed you're 'sofisticated' side!

  • @willsbanana wow. You are so sofisticated, the only thing you could point out was the spelling. People like you just have to change the topic once you lose the argument. Stick to the fucking subject you fuckwit

  • They are stupid!

I hope the Israeli and USA Olympic Teams get wiped out in 2012 to mark the 40th anniversary of Black September and 1 year on from Osama Bin Ladens murder.

  • @nichenet I'm an Australian, dumbfuck. This clip is taken out of context, and poorly edited to make it seem like TYT were saying things they weren't. You're a liar.

  • @2edsajdmsa

Yeah, selective editing at its best.

  • @2edsajdmsa Well, as Australians I'm sure we don't know what the hell your blabbering about, but if you actually did your research, like theyoungturks should have done, then you would realize why they have come off looking like fools within cricket loving nations. Until you do your research, which I know you have not done, then maybe you have a right to run your mouth. Until then, you should not support those who don't do their research, like theyoungturks, and claim to be an authority

  • @2edsajdmsa you obviously missed the point of the entire video; I personally like the Young Turks (mostly), although I disagree with them most strongly on such a bigoted interpretation of a funny Australian ad. As an Australian, I have a couple of friends in the US. We often laugh at the fact that our crazy party is on the wrong hand (the left are insane in this country, whereas the right are insane in the US), and that the Democrats aren't really left wing (more centre).

  • @fpsBeaTt I'm an Australian, the KFC ad (I think you're talking about?) was indeed racist, imo.

I don't believe the left to be insane here. The right however , under Tony Abbott, have shown themselves to be thoroughly insane and unfit to be our opposition let alone our government.

And what part of the video did I miss? He edited the video to make it seem like they were saying something they weren't, plain and simple.

  • @2edsajdmsa that is not correct; I have seen the original video, and the way in which he edited it was only to condense the video down into its key components. TYT, in attempting to seem socially conscious and fair, were in fact taking a stereotype of black people from America and applying it (due to the colour of the West Indian's skin) unfairly to an ad depicting something completely different. I cbf arguing about politics atm, but the polls show Gillard would lose in a landslide.

  • @fpsBeaTt The ad was made by an America company, its a stereotype (even here to some extent). Pushing that stereotype further around the world is bad.

What does the Labor losing in the polls have to do with being insane? Polls go up and down, and the only reason they're losing that badly is due to extreme right shock jocks like Alan Jones and far right Tony Abbott fear mongering to people.

  • @2edsajdmsa yet I'm not racially conscious enough, in combination with being ignorant of Australian and cricket culture, to view it as racist. In doing so, you're showing yourself to be the racially conscious individual with bigoted undertones.

In respect to the Labor party currently, Julia Gillard has taken it to its lowest point in history with a 25% primary vote. The Carbon tax is superfluous and damaging, and anyone that disagrees with the government is labelled a 'shock jock'.

  • @fpsBeaTt No, I didn't say anyone who disagrees with it is a shock jock, but Alan Jones IS (look at his wiki to see all the disgraceful comments he makes).

Again, what do the poll numbers have to do with insanity?

  • @2edsajdmsa *sigh*, if you really want to open a can of worms on youtube. As I said, the poll numbers are a RESULT of insanity, not an affecter. Labor has turned a $22 billion surplus into a $139 billion deficit (and counting), introduced a carbon tax will not have an iota of an effect on the (Europe has had an ETS, and in the last twelve months saw the greatest increase in their emissions in history) and lied about it & reduced Howard's solar cell rebate because 'too many people were using it'.

  • @fpsBeaTt "Labor has turned a $22 billion surplus into a $139 billion deficit"

You do remember the economic crisis of 2008-2009 right? Labor bridged the gap by overspending to keep the economy afloat, and thus we were the only western economy to not go into recession.

They saved us, the deficit is on track to being paid by 2014.

  • @2edsajdmsa actually, no. The stimulus did nothing to stave our economy off from disaster, but the fact that our banks were regulated and the most profitable in the western world (in combination with the previous government's financial sense), which maintained consumer confidence. Every leading economist on this planet that has commented on Australia during the GFC has stated that the stimulus had absolutely no impact whatsoever. Btw, the deficit is on schedule for an extra $50 billion.

  • @2edsajdmsa I can come up with many other examples if you wish, but again, I really can't be bothered arguing about politics on youtube (which is why I haven't responded in a week); its pointless, and I quite frankly have better things to put my mind to (a physics major for one).

  • Young Turds are kind of funny...

  • @GodHatesPortugal The Young Turds, how clever. And by clever, I mean childish and embarrassing. Crawl back to your hole.

  • Too bad Marc Emery is the anithesis of "leftist", he is a libertarian. How clever you are...

  • @GodHatesPortugal I support Marc Emery's release because he's yet another victim in this senseless prohibition on Cannabis. Why does that automatically mean I have to be a libertarian? You're a huge tool.

  • tyt is such a joke.... why does anyone watch it?

  • I like the young turks but yeah the advert wasnt racist.

  • You're taking what they said way out of context, your sarcasm detection meter is broken.

  • What a strange misleading montage. lol

  • "African American", Ana? Good God, you're stupid.

  • @ogopogo18 Her comment was taken 100% out of context, have you even watched the original video, or just listened to this pathetic attempt at spin?

  • nichenet, you're pathetic! Sorry!

  • Ana: 'african americans' - are you really that stupid? I gotta say I used to think you were awesome and this year I think you just want attention and I'm sick of that silly bimbo laugh you do. They're carribean Americans, is that so hard to get right? Which is entirely the reason why you're wrong yet instead of admitting it you laughed at Australians. Ana: grow up

  • sooooo out of context

  • This has got to be the worst attempt at "incriminating editing" I've ever seen

  • hahahaha wow this video is so much out of context i think Fox news might have been involved in the editing xD

  • It was the cricket, we were playing the West Indies that week, and KFC has sponsored cricket here since forever. They saw black people being fed chicken to keep them quiet. From their background, it's understandable why they thought it was racist, even though it wasn't meant to be. If it had been English fans- and probably has been, several times- the internet wouldn't have cared.

I like TYT, but I wish they'd done their research on this one.

  • The advert is racist. Possibly tongue in cheek as countries like Australia aren't plagued by the level of race paranoia and tension that exists in the US.

The Young Turks are worse. Ignorant self-righteous wankers. Their satire, humour and insight is generally so poor it's like watching a school production. They say that being rowdy is 'primitive and uncivilised'. If the advert was a black guy giving white people Bacardi Rum to get them dancing I presume that Tits at TYTs wouldn't care.

  • This is so fucking edited it is not even funny. Go watch the fucking video you guys are too jumpy over nothing.

  • Actually, it sounds like they are talking about the "people's" racist remarks rather then making a comment of their own. This is called SATIRE. And who ever downloaded this video must be really disturbed by the young turks since he goes thru such an out of context editing.
