Is the DJIO a powerful enough soundcard to use in clubs? I'm looking for a new soundcard, but I don't want one that gets crackly and shit when it's too loud. I'm leaning towards getting a NI audio 4, cause i know it'll be solid quality all around. But if anyones actually tried this in a club or if you know if it would work or not, please let me know!

@deejayDimitriG nop, that doesn't have anything to do with the dj io you can record mixes with or without the dj io only difference is that you can hear the two channels on the headphones to make a good mix and without the dj io you cant hear only the main channel that is playing, get it??

Does the Numark DJIO Sound Card help the scratching be more precise (in real time). When I scratch its like it has a delay. My scratching is fast but the output sound of the scratching is slow. Will the Numark DJIO Sound Card help the scratching be more precise and not delayed?

you can use it as an analog in to digital (usb) out or as a digi in (usb) to analog as you show.

So if you have input on your pooter, you can send a recording signal thru, and Out of this unit.

I got this for my virtual DJ. I didnt want to get a mixer since Virtual Dj already does has the integrated. So keep it simple i just got this to preview songs before playing them. Everything can be done through Virtual DJ, no need to but a expensive mixer

Numark had a package deal for about that price that included this card and a Ion type/looking controller. But I think I'll just buy him the Hercules mp3 e2 and leave it at that. These entry level numark products look like crap to be honest. Thanks for the heads up.

TC into USB. DJiO into USB. The TC is just a controller, it makes no noise. You use the TC to index the music, and the computer sends that via USB, and the DJiO spits it out.

If you want to use an external mixer, and just use the TC to index the tracks, then you use both outputs.

If you use the TC to do your mix, you only need to ouput from the one input., and your headphones on headphone out jack.

The DJiO takes care of the cueing, and when you xfade over you mix into the speakers.

Very simply, the computer acts a mixer, and the DJiO spits out your mix into your system.

If oyu want to use your own mixer, then your DJiO is your "output of 2 turntables".

The confusion comes the fact the DJiO acts as BOTH turntable outputs, with the headphone output from your mixer, slapped on as well.

Numark has lost all respect form me. When I inquired about when drivers for Win7-64 would come out, I was told that I would need to keep checking. When I explained that I have over $500 of dj erquipment I can not use, I was told that "99% of audio drivers are not written for 7 becuase it is so new".

That is a lie. NI has drivers that work.

They are too embarrassed to say :"We screwed up" . So I am being punished for selling my Mac, and not checking to see if a driver for the newest.

I've seen posts about how you cant monitor/preview songs, this left me puzzled as according to Numark you can assign each track to a Chanel on your mixer, in which case is it not possible to monitor/preview a track via the mixer controls?

I used total control for a year DJing hip/hop and house music and a little trance when I could sneak it in before I realized that I needed the i/o to monitor my headphones. I tried everything. Every freaking setting on the sound config. I just had to know my music ridiculously well. I really do wish numark sold them together. Now I have to go purchase one. I would have just gone and bought a hercules if I had know Id have to go through this. It better be worth it. :-

Yes. It works perfectly with it.

You can even buy it in a package, where it comes with the Numark Total Control, The Audio Card, and a pair of headphones. :) not to mention the program.

sure you could. but you wont be able to monitor individual channels on your headphones/monitors.. get the DJiO or other ASIO soundcard.

you can use it, but I have not found a way to preview/ cue the songs. I have tried to split my headphone jack to two separate channels on my mixer and still cannot get a cue. I do not have the Numark DJ/iO but I'd like to get it. I think that it would solve my problems. I wish that the control would just sell the whole system. I'd rather pay 50-100$ extra to get everything I need... ya know. I was pissed!!

Can anyone help me? I DJ on Ableton Live and this is the second DJ IO I've bought in the last few weeks. After about a week or so of use, my sounds start to get choppy and eventually completely stop. It's not my Mac, or my speakers or Ableton Live...It's the DJ IO...Does anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I had the same problem. The Numark DJ i/o has a lot of problems with the latest OS version. 10.5.6. Apple did something with the USB drivers in this update and that causes problems with the I/O....
