And do you really believe a 10-1 ND team (the only team to beat USC in 30-some games) would've been passed over for a match-up with Texas in the Rose Bowl (which would've had historical implications)?

Both teams play on the same field, dude. As for the ball spot and replays...take your own advice. The ball flew out of bounds around the 4 yd line, and the ref never stopped the clock.

Oh, and a 2-loss team should NEVER play for a championship over a 1-loss team, especially that '05 ND squad.

Whether PSU would've been more deserving or not isn't my point. My point is, a NC-eligible ND will almost always get the nod over other schools.

2 losses or less-Fulmer will be in good shape.

3 losses-Fair or not, there will be serious grumblings.

4 losses-Even if Fulmer doesn't leave, he will have 1 foot out the door.

5 or more losses-Fulmer will either retire or be fired!
