  • This was the #1 song when i was born....cute lil Danny and David Cassidy!!!!

  • I want Marylin Manson to redo this song!

  • number one song in australia in january 1971

  • im 21 and forever lost in the 20s-early 80s...ask me about most of todays stuff and im at a loss...ask me about the partridge family...family...doris day...gladys knight...the marx bros...chaplin...CCR...or just about anyone or anything else from those eras and i can talk to you as if i grew up there...man i wish things were as simple as they were bak then and not like the crap we have now...im sorry my generation failed us all...

  • Who is the girl doing the intro? Do you know?

  • Justin is learning his ropes from these guys.

  • ancient pop song which still sounds good.

  • Sadly the man in the gray suit passed away last week.

  • WHO IS J BEIBER

  • The Cowsills are playing a free concert at The Cannery Casino Las Vegas NV on labor day weekend sunday september 4, 2011

  • If you're a fan of The Partridge Family, you'll probably like the fun and free weekly podcast, Echo Valley, which celebrates the great bubblegum music from the 1960's and 1970's! There's Partridge Family music almost every week! Give it a try! Just Google "Echo Valley Bubblegum"!

  • i was more into mom -OLDER WOMEN

  • I love when TV characters are giving these "live" performances and the song they are supposedly singing doesn't end but fades out... I think I love you, I think I love you, I think I.... Clap clap clap. Hilarious. Also love how Susan Dey's hands are flailing away on that keyboard during a pause in the song when there is no sound...

  • テレビで見てた"パートリッジ・ファミリー"~みんなで"悲しき青春"歌うシーン、お母さんシャーリー・ジョーンズが好きだったヨ!

  • loved the partridge family!!!!

  • Anyone who thought this was a better time isn't gay, or black, or thought that drums shoudl have bottom heads. But as a young kid, I remember hearing this on the radio... I jumped on my banana seat bike and rode pell mell to the station.... thinking I would be able to meet the Partidge Family- HA.

  • I was no older than 8 yrs old when this TV series aired. I thought back then that this family really sang on the track.

  • actually David and Shirley always did there own singing and David could play guitar but sometimes just sang to prerecorded music, none of the kids sang or played, well oddly the Brady bunch kids who were not supposed to be a musical group started singing there own theme song in season too and performed a few times. You will note in season one: That;s the way THEY became the brady bunch, but changes in season 2: That's the way WE became the brady bunch.

  • he just finished talking to me, telling me how in love with me he is - just thought you'd like to know

  • no, he doesn't love you - stay away from my husband and stop trying to tear apart a family

  • I THINK I LOVE YOU!

  • Id hide it and never talk about it

fuck Commies let's kick ass we're Capitalists we do everthing better

Obama can lick my ass if that's what he wnts

  • FUCK NOW

  • dvid had a good voice I'd milk it like a cow and they did

  • This was just on antenna tv

Poor David was treated like crap on the Apprentice

  • And while every other 13 year old in the world drools over Justin Bieber, I'm hooked on David Cassidy. I think my obsession Is much better ;)

  • @missdesensitized86 I don't think obsessing over a 61 year old man is any better

  • @ANeonTiger XD XD XD actually much worse lmao

  • @missdesensitized86 its really no diff there the same type of people, same type of music just in totally diuff area but since its your era you think its better, its only a mind set.

  • Comment removed

  • @missdesensitized86 No way I'm hooked on him to! He is 10 times better then Justin Bieber (Who, in my honest opinion is a girl and is just another Donny Osmond) And I do agree our obsessions are 10 times better.

  • @missdesensitized86 YEAH except David Cassidy is old enough to be their GRANDFATHER !! You really want 13 yr olds drooling over an old man XD XD

  • @BunnysSwedishWinter Only if it's NOT Roman Polanski!

  • @missdesensitized86

Have fun being out of touch with your generation and being lost in pretty much 90% of your conversations with your peers.

  • @clintonearlwalker

enjoy your next Susan Dey concert :-)

  • OMG, that was so fast. How do people fall in love that quickly. How superficial!

  • you probably could do without this one.

  • Great innocent times..........long gone..!

  • I always thought Reubin was "old"! (I was 14) Guess he wasn't that old! lol

  • The hardcore punk band Ism did a very respectable version of this in the early 80's.

  • I'm dedicating this to my Facebook fam for the end of this year...I THINK I LOVE YOU BUT WHAT I AM SO AFRAID OF....!!!!!! LMAO

  • I've always been wanted to be told that someone loved me by them singing me this song. I'd melt. *sigh* This is such a wonderful song.

  • Unlike the oblivious 50's style "The Brady Bunch", The Partridge Family tackled comtemporary issues of the times The Vietnam War, Women's Rights, Racial issues and did it with wit and humor which offended no one. Truly a great show.

  • @raydio60 I agree that the show approached issues "with wit and humor", but at 13, all I wanted was to live inside one of their fluffy, fun montages that they did with some of their songs! I thought life was going to be like that! LOL. It was just fun.

  • @elinorvonzahm it was such a cool innocent chapter in television that fooled us all. Look at " The Brady Bunch" I bet every kid with a step parent / sibling thought life would be like "The Brady's"

  • I TOTALLY loved that Show! But we didn't get it at home. I only was able to see it at my cousin's house, once in a blue moon.... Such a treat!!! Colour TV???

  • is that greg brady from the brady bunch?

  • The Partridge Family was my absolute favorite TV show and music growing up. I just love David Cassidy! He's still so handsome!! Thank you for posting!!

  • Phil Spector claimed that the Partridge Family were the big influence on Leonard Cohen --probably intended as an insult...but notice the similar formulation " a love there is no cure for" and Cohen's "there ain't no cure for love"

  • Classic it is beautiful

  • Ahhhhhhh David Cassidy he makes me swoon and i love it !!! ( i wasnt even born when this or the brady bunch was on tv) BUT i love this song !!!

  • Man! I still love them! Nastalgia I guess!

  • Born in the US, but I've lived on both sides of the pond.. there are some very good British shows.. look at Only Fools and Horses, Steptoe and Son, classic, witty and funny.. Also, Katherine Tate, more modern, but funny, the Royle Ramily, teehee, very funny.. God bless

  • Great memories of my youth. Going over to my friends house and watching this show on tv argueing who was going to date Susan Dey. Another show of that era was Wild Wild West, again my friends and I would fight over who would pretend to be James West, the loser was Artemus Gordon, lol, what a great time.

  • Just to let everyone know, I was being facetious with my comment. I know there were/are good tv shows other than Monty Python to come out of the UK. So I apologize if it causes any confusion.

  • how come the old man didn't sing with the group...and that shirley jones...was very hot in those days....i suppose she sitll is...of course we don't see her anymore...when your not young and famous...the public would rather you keep behind the curtains...in your house...and forget about you....yes..we only want to see the young and the beautiful...why oh why...must we get old and have to be shun away..into the everylasting darkness of life....why can't we stay young and beautiful forever???????

  • i might be the only person my age to say this but i love the partridge family :)

  • you all should have experienced this during the syndication years of the late 70's and early 80's on UHF.

  • David was my Idol seen him in concert, had alot of his albums, and walls pasted with pictures. He has come along way and been thru alot for a Child Star.

  • i saw this onTV,GETTING OLD,LOL

  • I LOOOOOOVED David Cassidy and this show!!!! NO THINKING about it!!! GREAT memories!!! GOOD ole KEITH always got his gilr!!!!

  • I like this song

  • i think i love you, the best out of all the rest of the partridge family

  • david was my idol; i was in love with the cassidys, shawn too. those were the days when i was 15. wow

  • I bought one of their albums, anout 1971. To this day, I could never support the Danny character, though.

  • some of the best days have my life

  • Great Song - Olivia

  • WTF were the camera men thinking? Focus not on the star? Holy cats ... Fired!! (And forgotten.)

  • I love this song! I love how people dressed back then! it was so wild and crazy lol. i hope it comes back in style

  • What good shows besides Monty Python came out of Britain? Check out The Benny Hill Show. It's pretty damn funny and was ahead of it's time.

  • I sang this song at a karaoke bar last night and the crowd loved it even though they had never heard of the song before! A CLASSIC!!!

  • What year???

  • Sorry scarebear83 - I posted a reply to this on your you tube site and not here. Anyway, for the record this is true bubble gum pop and a fantastic song as is most of the Partridge Family songs. Just loved them - I was 10 when this came out. At the same time we had TRex (English), Focus "Moving Waves" LP (Dutch) Mike Curb (US) and heaps of great songs (but then I would say that given my age). Anyway - many thanks to andrekiau for posting this.

  • David Cassidy left his pooka shells home on this trip!!!

  • Never gets old.

  • Danny's on the true tv channel

  • Believe me, you really don't have to worry.

  • gotta love the originals

  • Ah, those were the days

  • The #1 song of 1970 --Great!!!!

  • A love there is no cure 4!

  • they are from great britian

  • a blast from the past........David Cassidy

  • The Power of Women ? Was this some sort of womens' rights rally that The Partridges played for ?.....Did Mrs. Partridge burn her bra....????

  • @superbruce This certainly was a womens rights rally, they used to have them all the time back in those days. "Womens Lib" was a major phrase back in those days, I remember on boy on the school bus that kept saying he wanted to "mens lib". I guess one major anthem of this movement was I am Woman by Helen Reddy, it's prolly posted here, I'm going to look.

  • god i wa about 11/12 when i saw this on telly.. na they all used david.. no to re unite

  • Apart from Monty Python what good shows came out of great britain? Are you kidding Scarebear83???

The Avengers, AbFab, Fawlty Towers, Keeping Up Appearances, Secret Agent, The Scarecrow...those are just the ones that come to mind immediately.

  • @11spike7 The Two Ronnies, Benny Hill, The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin...

  • And the band that made Kings Island famous....Sing it proud

  • David Cassiday...the original playa'!

  • For a solid year I made a daily pledge to call this girl in 6th grade Sue B. and play this song over the phone.

But the cord wasn't long enough to reach the stereo. Plus she had a really bitchy older sister who I knew would make all our lives hell.

But Sue B....I no longer fear your sister! So all I need is the number.

    I THINK I LOVE YOU!!!!!

  • Partridge Family was fromage, no question about it. Still it was part of childhood for millions of us and hearing this song makes me feel brand new again.

  • OH dAVID cASSIDY I THINK I LOVE YOU

  • I'm not sure if they are all still alive but I would love to see them reunite if only for a while.

Those were the days, Henry Kissinger, Vietnam, Watergate. What memories!!

  • Hey clintonearlwalker, if you go to the site "partridge family cast where are they now" you will find out what they are doing today and also see that all cast members are alive and well.

  • myname405 Thanx for the info, I'll prolly check it out. I'm glad to hear they are all still alive and well. Bad things have a way of happening to people after so many years. I think nearly every boy around my age couldn't help but love Susan Dey, she always seemed so aloof. Thanx for your reply, Cheers!!!

  • Reuben and Shirley were not able to attend, and Sussan Dey has cut off relations with the others, but the rest were on the Today Show (today) with Matt Lauer....

  • @heikkuri so why has Susan Dey cut off ties with the others?? I thought she was the Big Girl on the Today Show for a moment, but that was the little tamborine player...

  • @clintonearlwalker - lol...what memories! I used

  • @Ahavah8Ahavah ...to love this song. Man...I am not used to this new YT format...blah

  • @Ahavah8Ahavah Thanx for the comment. I don't really like the new YT format either. I don't know why they change stuff when it worked already.

  • @clintonearlwalker Just consider it job security. They have to justify their existence somehow.

  • @clintonearlwalker I think Shirley Jones is the only one who is deceased.

  • @ThatsMrMoronToYou They are all still alive.

  • @doglips1958 You're right. I just checked on imdb. My mistake.

  • @ThatsMrMoronToYou No problem.Have a fine day

  • @ThatsMrMoronToYou She is still alive

  • and STILL beautiful

  • @ThatsMrMoronToYou She 77 and still alive

  • @clintonearlwalker All alive, not sure about the people that actually sang backup.

  • @clintonearlwalker Yeah, they're all still alive. It doesn't really matter; Shirley Jones & David Cassidy were the only ones in the cast who actually performed, and Cassidy is the only one on lead vocals, so he can go touring on his own with PF tunes--and he does.

  • @geroguy0472 I don't think Cassidy and Jones were the only ones that "performed". The entire cast "performed" on the TV show I watched every Friday night. Also, while the other cast member may have not played or sang, they were certainly visible and gave the appearance of being in the band. That's what made them The Partridge Family, if I simply wanted to hear David Cassidy, I'd buy a cd. It may not really matter to you if they are still alive, but I'm sure it does to them.

  • @clintonearlwalker Ummmm, you do know none of them played or sang except for David Cassidy right? Shirley Jones could sing very well also but they didn't let her. It would be a really crappy concert.

  • @clintonearlwalker They all are!

  • @wsbtam Thanx for that, that was a different time, seems like a million years ago.

  • @clintonearlwalker I know. Wish we could set the wayback machine to 1970 and go there..was an easier time.

  • @wsbtam The "wayback machine"? Sherman and Mr. Peabody? They're the only people I remember with a wayback machine. It seems to me The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family were on back to back every Friday night, I never missed either one. Vietnam was always in the background. The boys about 4 or 5 years older than me all had to go get draft cards. I remember my dad keeping me up till about 10 thirty a.m. in around 1969 so I could see Neil Armstrong step on the moon.

  • @wsbtam I totally agree!

  • @clintonearlwalker you know that "they" didn't sing those songs. That it was originally studio musicians and later on it was David Cassidy and Shirley Jones + studio musicians. The rest of the cast were neither singers nor musicians

  • @mrferdberfl Don't matter.

  • the creator of this show was from britain, you know. i'm not kidding. look it up.

  • as a brit, we know you are full of crap neila

  • really catchy tune!!!

  • Apart from Monty Python what good shows came out of great britain?

lol look, we could sit and fight over which was better tv but you grew up with your stuff and we grew up with this. Sorry if you don't like it but you don't have to be vulgar to those of us who do.

  • @scarebear83 What have the Romans ever done for us!?

  • @scarebear83 Benny Hill Minder, On The Buses, etc etc and Steptoe and Son which the Americans copied and called Sanford and Son. The US had some great shows too like The Rifleman Green acres etc.

  • @scarebear83 lol. "Apart from Monty Python what good shows came out of Great Britain".

You are so confused as to how the world works. Please don't confuse your ignorance with fact.

  • @YouveStolenMyEyes I apologize if I came across ignorant, I never thought my comment would get so many thumbs up, but I was only being facetious with the person it was intended for.

  • @neilgraham1978 You almost sound like a brit there. LOL

  • neilgraham1978 - You are a right one to talk, considering the empty-headed shit that you've uploaded.

  • That is David Cassidy singing this..

  • i love this song!! X

  • Who would of thought that someday in the future the bass player would kick Donny Osmonds butt in the boxing ring.

  • @Rusfi16 Danny has a lot of anger in him. Wasn't there a story of him getting a hooker who turned out to be a man?

  • @ThatsMrMoronToYou that sounds... suprising

  • I wish I could go back to thoses day's

But I still here Danny every morning

    he's a DJ in Philadelphia

  • danny was pimp

  • My innocence ended when I realized Danny was just air-guitaring... 1:40

  • This was noticeably edited at 1:43. There is part of the song missing.

  • Uh yeah. It was because it was a 22 min tv show before commericals. seconds counted!

  • The episode when Danny was stealing all of Kieths stuff and selling it was awesome. I remember he stole his pickle that was hillarious.

  • Ten bucks David nailed the girl right after the shoot and then the rest of the ladies in the audience under 30 -- Danny did all the ones over 50..

  • i only 15 but i love old shows srry bad english i from mexico

  • Comment removed

  • I used to have a crush on David Cassidy.

  • didnt we all lol :o)

  • I still have the 45 rpm version of this song :) Somebody wants to love you is on the flip side. Oh my, David Cassidy! Yeah, yeah!

Thanks for the video! It's a great one!

  • Mood rings, black lights, strobe lights, pinball, kick ass concerts and parties. Oh yes and guys actually looked sexy in their skin tight jeans and long feathered hair. What the hell happened to it all?

  • I think I love this song! ;-)

  • anyone know were i can download it? thanks

  • first download youtube download converter..and then you can download all songs from youtube...all for free

  • What a kill joy,you are part of the most famous group in the world, and your mum is in it.....????

  • I love this song!! It takes me back to when i was a teen!! And David Cassidy was so cute!!

  • Did Bonaduce really play the guitar?

Look how sweet he was lol.

  • No actually David and Shirley are the only 2 that can play and are on the actual recordings, the others lip sync

  • Thank you, i wasn't sure.. I used to watch them too.

  • had all the albums, had all the posters, had all the David cassidy Machine...Wish I kept it.....

  • I was a Osmonds brother fan also hey do you remember black lights?

  • Cool band name:

    RUEBEN KINCAID

  • This is definitely my favourite. Thanks for posting it.

  • Laurie was the harpsichord player, usually. Shirley (Mom) was more often seated at a piano, organ or string synthesizer, within the context of the show. What's funny is---Check out the multiple videos for "I'll Never Get Over You" by the PF & you'll notice that they tried it both ways----They switch off...In one video, Laurie is playing what seems to be either an electric Harpsichord (they were made by RMI) or Clavinet, playing the dark/gothic-sounding riff....But it's played by Shirley in #2!

  • I love the little ginger on the guitar!

  • susan dey.....yum. If she asked me in a nice way

  • What a great show!
