I remember two other Cheerios commercials featuring Peanuts characters that I haven't seen in over 20 years. One is Charlie Brown having problems flying his kite (Snoopy brings Charlie Cheerios). The other is Lucy bringing Schroeder Cheerios when Schroeder can't play the piano right.

I remember when Cheerios first came out with Honey Nut Cheerios in '81. Then came Apple Cinnamin in '88. Now look, there is Frosted Cheerios, Chocolate Cheerios, Fruity Cheerios and MultiGrain Cheerios.

The Peanuts characters definitely were spokespeople (spokescharacters?) in the 1980s, not the 1970s. But thanks for sharing the cool clip!
