How is it that your not lagging at all during the fight? This is then only reason i cant beat him and even with all the graphics set to min it still laggs horribly

@reptar74 That is due to the recent updates, they nerf your game... (think about bot busting and engine updates)

I took me 2 tries to kill Nomad, but 3 to kill this guy.

It could be said the Nomad is very tough, but Vanstrom is highly dangerous.

For new people doing this: DONT USE BANDOS it's defence is terrible, it's str bonus is insignificant and the damage done to the boss is mainly based on the weapons you use, as long as it's blister wood you'll hit like a beast

@xsonicbladex Then please advice what armour others should use, thanks for the info though. You know I just used this armour because I had no idea what his weaknesses and strengths were right?

@villermen yeah i figured hence why i wrote that comment, to inform people :P barrows is a charm, verac's body and skirt are the best defence and have a nice prayer bonus, and i'd recommend a ranged body like arms, kahrils or d hide.

@villermen personaly ide use a mixture of karils ahrims and veracs as they give a decent bonus

I died the first time also, and the second time I ran out of food halfway through at 250hp, but managed to survive further five minutes (thanks to overload running out and healing me 500). Toned down version of Nomad really.

@vyrewatch12321 Yea I only brought 10 rocktails, I misunderstood the NPC hint about all 3 styles, thinking I would need to bring gear for each. So I didn't have much inventory space left over.

@BoneyMalone I found him harder then Nomad myself. At least nomad doesn't do stare into darkness followed by let the blood consume you in the 2 second later theres time to eat & more time to run with nomad, Nomads mines are more easily avoided & he only tries to heal once. Nomads also predictable so he's even easier now then when I killed him as everyone knows the pattern.

At least in this video he melees all mine did was spam the same 3 attacks & summon bloodvelds.

@nerbne I guess I got lucky, he did the darkness once which I didn't avoid, and called the bloodvelds twice. Rest of it he spent in his flying attack which is extremely easy to dodge and still hit him.
