  • While everyone paints the execution of Queen Anne The Bullen, as unjust, which it was legally. She was not a martyr or a saint, but a pushy overly aggressive woman that, did not live up to fate = daughter. There was much animosity and alienation at court, to Henry's chagrin. Henry was forced to take a stand that were Anne's policies. They became Henry's, causing the death of many of his old friends and people. Anne was very cruel to Mary, and others, She was NO ANGEL!

  • @molarmama5 But your Mary was innocent? Mary hated Anne as much as Anne hated Mary, however, mary took it one step further and tourtured Elizabeth Unfairly, and eventually had her impriosned and threatend death. Let's face it. No one in the period was perfect as no one is now. So you are no better than the people who idolize Anne, because far more horrible things can be credited to Mary than to Anne.

  • Good Lord, the English court was a damned war zone. You either stayed on your guard or got your head lopped off.

  • My God this is just horrible. The world was just awful back then.

  • How messed up is this? Everyone knows for a fact that henry had multiple affairs and it's not a problem but Anne may have cheated and she gets killed?

  • @ThinkTink606432 Yes, for the baby could be illegitimate and therefore not be the real heir to the throne. The cheat would be awful.

  • Lo que pasa es que Enrique viii no aguantaba a su lado una mujer tan inteligente, creo que el fondo se sentía intimidado por Ana Bolena, Pero Elizabeth heredó toda la inteiigencia de su madre.

  • the bitch might have been waiting impatiently and heedlessly but she died soon she was only queen for a shorter time than Anne and her child didnt do so well as monarch either

  • It's not wether or not Mark Smeaton was totured physically , though it is more than likely, due to Marks fragile state of mind it may have only taken pyscological pressure to get the confession

  • It is interesting in how these historians dance around

Henry Vlll -after all he practised murder to a high degree.

Whatever the intrigues he still is a murderer ,and human

garbage -but in expensive clothes .

  • Thank you for posting such an informative and balanced account.

I always find a bit odd that posters can be so virulent in their dislike for or adoration of historical personages, especially when there is precious little documentary evidence on which to base such a judgement. I don't mean to sound pompous, but I don't get the derogatory name-calling and can't see what good it's doing.

  • you are sick! What are you talking about?

  • @evaperonfan on the same level as Hitler, how's that? did she order the execution of 6,000,000? no so how is she like Hitler

  • @evaperonfan She found jews to snuff out? Poor old Anne to carry your dripping can!

  • @evaperonfan oh please.

  • she was a true QUEEN in her last moments

  • anne boleyn was the woman that henry VIII loved more. by the way, mark smeaton was gay so he never slept with anne

  • Mark Smeaton was gay? I've never heard that before..

  • @balenguer

Theres no evidence to suggesr that mark smeaton was gay, that was something showtime made to make their show "the tudors" more interesting. Do your frecking research before you make a comment

  • she was an amazing woman. they invented all that rumors about her so the king could be free to marry jane seymour. henry didn't like anne anymore because she didn't accept that he had another women , because she wanted to give her opinions about the kingdom and finally because she didn't give him a son. she was the bravest of henry's wives and she is, for sure , a role model to follow.

  • Technically she shouldn't have been executed because her marriage was dissolved.

  • wasnt mark gay?

  • It appears that Elizabeth was 2 years old at the time of her mother's death, so she really didn't remember her mother.

  • She was such a magnificent and brave woman. Were I in her place, I would have collapsed before I even got to the steps of the scaffold.

  • Same here.

  • Damn that was messed up.

  • Beautifully done, bravo!!

  • My god, why does this type of thing turn into such an argument...People need to calm down about this stuff. It happened years ago. Anne had her good points and her bad points, so did the rest of them. Like EVERYONE in the human race. So, thank you for putting this set of videos up =]

  • @distant2sun We're arguing about Anne just as people argued about Anne yeas ago. She's just too controversial.

  • 6:30 - So horrible to watch. I just can't imagine actually and literally walking to my death.

  • AndromedaMariaCarmen - It's still horrible to imagine.

  • AndromedaMariaCarmen - You really need to get over that. I get sick of going back and forth with you. The only person making reference to Hitler, is you.

  • AndromedaMariaCarmen - What? I don't know. Does it matter?

  • Very good video!!! I love this type of history!

  • Such a witch hunt: people admit to anything under torture, guilty or not. Anne had admirers but she was too careful of bearing the King's child, to do more than flirt with them.

  • Thanks for this. Absolutely brilliant. So educational
