i cant understand how he can get teh slap sound that goood, when i slap on my bass the strings keep hitting the neck and make a metallic anoying sound cus teh strings are hitting the neck :(

i have a thumb 5nt and just cant get on with it..love the sound and punch but being honest the neck is a bit of a baseball bat!!its a very slow neck and its also quite long..its also a heavy mother..but my god has it got punch, i would seel it if i found something that could replace it but nothing comes close so far..

its not the bass, its the settings he is using. that bass right there can get just about any sound.

In these clips, the settings were absolutely flat w/ bass and treble at the center notch.  The only difference in the tones were the fact that the pups were panned differently. It's still a great sounding bass and I'm still using it for the majority of my playing. Very versatile bass as well.

Nice pickup. Don't know if it's 100% right, but it's been a while since I've played it. At least it's close. Did the riff on the E and A strings to show the slap tone of both strings.

yeah, it's pretty close, but not quite. you should have added the chorus part, it is a pretty cool bass part
