  • what dumb lady would turn down this monolith of a man?

  • he's so dreamy... then, now and always :)

  • Best dracula ever

  • I love how he can be so open and personal while still remaining in character. This was so touching <3

  • @koalajones88 LOL, "why should homosexuality be banned" is an IRONIC video, you idiot. You didn't watch so you're saying bullshit. It is an AMAZING ANTI-HOMOPHOBIA VIDEO.

  • @koalajones88 Yeah, right. You're choosing to ignore the first and the last sentences of the statement which make it clear he is talking about himself and how he identifies with the character of Dracula.

  • @koalajones88 no, he's not, he is saying he understands Dracula because he also only had one true love, just like the character.

he starts by saying "I UNDERSTOOD THIS ROLE" and finishes with "SO I KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE".

  • best dracula movie ever made

  • Still one of the best Dracula portrayals put to film.

  • vlad the impaler from the loyal order of the drakool (dragon). Look him up at Wikipedia and read of his historical legendary cruelty. Sadistic Cruelty. Even Mehemmed 2 the conqueror turned away when he came upon 10 thousand of his army impaled on steaks. At that point he decided to let his generals fight the war. He had had enough of Vlad the Impaler.

  • I wonder if his one love died or something... Does anyone know? I know he has a son.

  • @jesscaused I believe this is about Uma, they were divorcing at the time.

And he has three children, one with Lesley Manville, Alfie, and two with Donya Fiorentino, Gulliver and Charlie.

  • @keksc Yes. To get into character of sadness, he would look at pictures of Alfie. He kept Alfie's picture with him on set. He'd often stay away from the cast to maintain character as well. And yes, he was splitting up with Uma at the time of this filming. I was permitted on set during two particular scenes (nepotism) and feel fortunate. I've also earned even more respect and admiration for Oldman, as an actor and man, he's more diverse than most realize.

  • what happened to his hair???

  • This is beautiful. Not to mention -- this was an incredible Dracula movie. He is an artist, and to have even just our small window into the depth and personal value this role delivered for him is more than patrons of any other art form could ever ask for.

  • Gary Oldman is my favorite Dracula too. But they're all good Dracs in their own ways.

  • Oh..I understand him SO MUCH..

  • Quite creepy looking at him as dracula and when you looked at him at interview as Gary, He's like hundred years younger :) Can't imagine Dracula is just in his 30 years :)

  • god bless him. i know how he feels lol sob

  • 0:30 is just rehearsal right? He's one of the actors that is said to be the give-all type even on rehearsals. That's what makes him really a powerful and not just an ordinary breathing human being. He's a piece of art.

  • @misscarly12 um i'm talking about what he's saying about the film. the one true love. that's what i relate to. i'll never get over my first love

  • @datura1983 OMG, I'm sorry I didn't mean to send that to you (: I'm sorry I was confused.

  • 0:18 For some reason, he looks like Victor from the Underworld movies.

  • no it 's me

  • he is even creepy as hell just talking about it right there...I am a grown man and this incarnation of dracula still creeps me out a bit.

  • Maybe the hairdo has to do with local Romanian traditions and culture.

    Think before you criticize?

    Everything has a purpose.

  • @AznJiggah

Not that I am aware of.

  • He was a decent Dracula except for the stupid butt hairdo...whoever thought that was a good design should have been fired

  • OOOOHHHH He seems so sad :'(

  • "do some is" ? wtf am I typing!? "DO COME IN" he said

  • are you kidding me Gary? apparently not!! That you were denied an Oscar for your performance in Dracula is beyond me. I had Coppola's Dracula on video cassette in the early 90's and would repeatedly watch Harker's (should have been played by David Bowie) arrival at the castle. The deep sensual blue of the sky...the moon, gorgeous cinematography. "I bid you welcome to my house Mr Harker...do some is....and leave....some of the happiness that you bring..."

  • I can't decide...he sounds like himself, but also as if he's talking in character...damn he is good ^^

  • Gary Oldman is a great actor

  • hes so hot! even in that makeup!

  • I remember that there was a thought of the director those days to give us a story according to the AIDS

    And yes Gary love

I want to be with u always

I want to love what u love

    I want to c what u c

Take me from all this ...... Aids

  • Is it bad, that I am severely attracted to him even in that outfit??

  • @Rengyduck No, the man is just good looking,p:...

  • @secretlovechild87 Oh, then I feel better! *drool*

  • The film could have done without Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder....but Gary Oldman's performance was absolutely PERFECT! :-)

  • oh he's beauitful...

  • is worst than a love that can't start one that ends..cause i love you,but you belong to another time..:(

  • Comment removed

  • That's Wifey Right Thar,

  • Isn't it amazing how even a man who could have just about any woman he wants STILL gets heartbroken that badly? love doesn't discriminate :(

  • thumbs up if you love Gary Oldman....

  • plays amazing villians, hes just so believable as them

  • Me too.

  • Dracula and The Professional are the best acting from Gary Oldman. Keep in mind that this is IMHO.

  • aww poor Gary Don't worried babe you got me

  • hahahahah

Dracula is the sexiest vampire ever...

Even though this movie is a total cheese fest..i still love it! And fall for it EVERY TIME.

    Gary rocks my socks!

  • la mejor pelicula y libro del mundo DRACULA, está en mi corazón

  • No question.Best Dracula of all time.

  • This is one of the greatest true things that has ever been filmed.

  • Heartbreaking! Gosh, I lurv him sooo much! He is my fave Dracula :)

  • God, he played Dracula brilliantly. ^^

  • sem dúvidas este foi omelhor fime sobre drácula que ja foi produzido !!

    Sérgio Alvim

    Juiz de Fora/Mg?Brazil

  • Sad. He's great!!!

  • ola ,meu nome é sergio, morono brasil, vc sabe como posso adquirir este filma, para comprar ?

    bjos

    sergio

  • Translation anybody??

  • @sergiojfg1 ou eu tenho ele no pc depois se kiser eu te passo

  • He was talking about himself and the character but you can see he is staying "in character" off set (by that I mean Dracula's accent, dialect, even the way he moves you can see the mannerisms of an old man)

  • @Mazumune ? he didnt sound like dracula to me lol hes awesome, but i dont get what you mean, he wasn't doing any accent while doing this interview

  • ooohhh..

    he's talking about us!

    lol

  • Oldman never uses the same voice twice in all of his films............

  • Terry you could not of said it better, this sent chills down my spine, ty for posting and I love you Terry:) forever!

  • This is the way Gina and I feel about each other, we have true love that most never experience. It transcends time, and we are forever!

  • The best actor ever to play Dracula. :)

  • besides lugosi, of course :)

  • Totaly agree!! Im looking forward to getting this on the 2 dvd set .. One of the dvds discusses the special effects that were used in the movie .. Im wondering of Gary Oldmans voice was enhanced with electronic effects .. Thats because his voice sounds way different in interviews .. No matter, Gary Oldman was the best Dracula ever, And thats no doubt!!

  • He practiced with an opera singer to make his voice down one octave ;-)

  • SOmething tells me Bales Batman's Darknight wasn't pracitced at all...Sounded retarded at best!

  • Gary Oldman was really taylored-fit for the role of Dracula!!!! He is one of the best there is when he portrayed Dracula!!! The best there is!!!

  • I think you're alone on that one

  • In this he really is one with the tragic character of Dracula. He has the same wound in his soul. Very deep..

  • He's talking about Uma!

  • @Tigerlily21 he's talking about ME! LOL

  • @keksc oh noonononononnonononono IT'S MEEEEE

  • @keksc Nah, it's ME. I see him every night! ;)

  • @Tigerlily21 Yes, but how do you know, I mean Gary has been married four times. Uma was only his second marraige, whose to say his true love wasn't before that, I mean, think about it, they had starting shooting this in, 90' , '91, Uma didn't file for divorce until the film was partically over, i mean who knows? Right? ....

  • And it hasn't left you. By the way...one of those amazing model companies made dracula figures...Tod what's his name...but eh blew it by not making Tom Waits Renfield...before and after. The would have sold more freakin' models....well...I would have bought it.

  • What an interesting man. There are a few actors and actresses that I would love to just sit and listen to whatever they had to say. Gary Oldman is one of them.

  • Oldman reminds me of Salierei in Amadeus =)

  • Oh my GOD! Just this brief moment, offstage, is so tragically beautiful. Oldman himself seems to transcend those "oceans of time."

  • is he speaking about himself or is it the character speaking....he is so amazing , i just can't figure

  • all glory to Gary! And the Hypnotoad -clap- -clap- -clap-

  • loved dracula gary was amazing....

  • i think he is the best dracula ever

  • Oh my god, i would be so afraid working with him with that make up on. xD

  • Gary Oldman is one of the best Dracula I have ever seen on the big screen. Long Live Gary!!! Love Dracula!!!

  • i love gary oldman

  • your'e funny keksc!!

  • my heart just melts.

  • Only an actor of the highest caliber can make the devil incarnate a hero, and God and fate, villains.

  • He says that he understand this role and that he just one time in his life really loved a person and maybe will never again.I hope for him that he will love again even if it couldn't be me,maybe his present wife is the right one.

  • that's so sad

  • He doesn't talk about himself . He talks about love as his character Dracula.

  • Still in character. Very cool.

  • i really know what he is talking about, because the same thing has happened to me. i really loved the film too

  • I wish he was talking about me... then again, don't we all? :L

He sounded so intense and sincere... can he get any more adorable?

  • Gary Oldman is the best Dracula ever.

  • I agree completely

  • @juancamex

yes he is I fall in love with him there and Still wanna married him lol

  • @juancamex YES! I would never watch 90210 Vampire films called Twilight...Thanks to the real deal which is here. Oldman is my acting hero!

  • @juancamex A great actor; and one of the most overrated Dracula's ever; the entire movie is so overrated.

But his portrayal is not the worst in the film ; Anthony Hopkins portrayal is basically dissing Van Helsing all the way; almost a cartoon.

  • @juancamex Leslie Nielsen has that spot

  • If this is sincerity, he is breath taking, if he plays a role he is brilliant. In both cases, he is a genius. I don't think that I've ever seen such a seducing exposure of a sentiment. Truly amazing.

  • @carolinahermelina completely agreed... not only is he naturally gorgeous, but he moves me...♥.

  • Video description: "Gary speaks about his one true love.

    (which should be me)"

And a big LOL goes to you, my friend... unless you're Uma Thurman or something. ;-)

Gary just melted my heart. I find it refreshing that, for such an attractive man, he would be so romantic and love someone so passionately. Oh, and why is it that many of us end up losing or never being with the ones we love the most? :-(

  • :'((( BREAK MY HEART, WHY DON'T YA! *sniffle* Poor Gaz. That bit where he removes his mask and cries out is powerful, particularly given the music and voiceover. And he looks and sounds so sad at the end, it's heartbreaking.

  • were you saying the mans got skills? lol cuz i think nobody got ya

  • I love this movie so much,

and this is just saddening and perfect at the same time.

I simply adore that man so much,

    and...wow.

It's so hard to tell it's even him...it's so ridiculously awesome. I love it.

  • Isn't he just getting into character? I'm sorry if I sound stupid but I believe he is talking from Dracula's perspective.

  • It sounds like it, but at the very beginning, he says, "I understood this role." And then, at the very end, he says, "So I know... what it feels like." He's saying that he can relate to Dracula and his love for Mina b/c he's been through a similar situation. So in a sense, yeah, he's getting into character, but he's not speaking from Dracula's perspective in the technical sense.

  • I love your video description.

  • Gary we love you went want more period pieces from you you could have done Amadeus better than Tom Hulse

  • but hulce made it funny and amadeus though historically wrong was and is perfect to me.

  • Aww, bless his heart. I bet I'm not alone in wishing I could make it all better for him. LOL

  • ack I just watched it again even though it pulls at my heart strings....what I forgot to say in the other one was that I guess what I have to look forward to is mending that broken heart. :'-( Also I didn't realize that he was taking off his mask.makeup in that scene...good to know.

  • this video makes me cry a little bit. I mean it makes me sad to think that one woman hurt him so badly that he can't love someone with his whole heart ever again. what am I supposed to look forward to?! his very last comment makes me sad the most.

I'm actually watching The Fifth Element with him right now... :-D

  • I think that you don't necessarily have to be hurt by a person to never be able to love the same way again. I think in every lifetime, although you may have had several people with whom you were very much in love, there's this other love that so encompasses every part of you you will never be quite that deeply in love again.

  • Is it any wonder that Oldman got the starring role in "Immortal Beloved" - a true-life mystery surrounding the unknown identity of Beethoven's love.

  • dracula was filmed right by the time he was divorcing uma thurman. maybe he's talking about her.

but as I said, it should be me!!!!

  • @keksc sorry to brust ur bubble but shooting actually began in late 90, '91, so who knows, it is a good mystery though, lol!!

  • arr...that was kinda cute

  • The movie as so many flaws, but the make up wasn't one of them obiouvsly, amazing.

  • nor was gary oldman's acting.

  • @keksc nor the costumes, nor the music!

  • @somnomagh you're 100% right

  • That's Gary's finest role there! Why he was not even nominated for an Oscar in that movie is beyond me!

  • wow. that last part where he takes off his mask/makesup layer looks touching for some reason! that commitment!
