Tarantino is one of the few directors/writers that I could know nothing about one of his movies and still know that it'll be entertaining. I have immense respect for him and the fact that any movie he does will have integrity if nothing else.
U2's Bono once said that 'Elvis' represented everything that he loved and feared about America...and that's pretty much my opinion on Quentin. I know he's a bastard, but I can't help but recognize, how talented he is. Speaking of 'Elvis'...Mitchell that is, I never thought I'd get to see this series of his again, so, thanks so much for posting!!!!!
his talk about the mithologys just genius. you realy should know the origins and motivations of every single character in your screenplay. this is great stuff really helps!
Thank you very much for putting this. I love watching directors interviews, especially passionate ones like Scorsese and Tarantino who love watching and talking about movies as much as making them.
found this whilst searching 'elvis mitchell' as he hosts this show called 'the treatment' that i download in podcast form... i love shows like this, charlie rose etc- we just dont get these types of shows on british tv, whether terrestrial or pay channels- so its great that people like douleuevans put this stuff on yuotube - thanks man :)
@djoule89 ....damn, i think he might have f'd up a little......jl was in a wa flick but not jf....at least, i dont think so.....i'll keep trying to look it up
@sethmusic Actually they both were in Woody Allen films, just not the same one. Lewis was in "Husbands and Wives", while Fallon was in "Anything Else". But neither one of them talked about Leni Riefenstahl in either movie.'
The point QT is making is that Woody often makes films about intellectuals like himself, while the actors themselves probably don't know what their characters are talking about.
i've NEVER heard bogart used as an adjective

Which Woody Allen movie is QT talking about ? Is it a real one or it is just an example he invented ?
djoule89 2 years ago

A moot point, at best.
