  • Martin Sheen is a Catholic Christian himself. You don't have to be an atheist to favour the separation of church and state. Many Christians would be just as pissed at having some preacher using the government to tell us what to do.

  • @AntiFascist2011 Aye, it was Christians (the Founders were mostly deists, the states themselves demanded the Bill of Rights) that put in place the separation of church and state.

Also little known, or little thought about, is that the Founders peacefully overthrew the previous government, because they felt the Articles of Confederation had failed the country.

  • "Give our greedy selfish preaching asses 25$, thank you." Martin Sheen

  • Im talking about atheism/evolution

  • @PostPetroleumPrepper What about it?

  • Thomas would have been so happy knowing his own words were used to create a monopoly of religion inside the public school system.

  • @MarioSMB3

How many court cases can you show me that are PRIOR TO 1900?

That is what we are talking about here! (not about the obvious deviation from our founding fathers intent in relatively "recent" times!

Showing cases AFTER 1900 only proves my point, so thanks for that, keep it up!

  • Martin Sheen just earned a hell of a lot more respect from me.

I know that many of the Founding Fathers believed in a god, likely the Christian god, but they had enough respect for mankind and enough pride in the nation they were building to leave their personal beliefs at home when they came to work. Those men are dishonored by religious extremists and many famous conservatives today.

  • Poor Mr. Sheen needs to get his house in order.

  • @ivlfounder Poor 'ivlfounder' needs to get his brain in order. You are a delusional fucking moron. Simply 'attacking the messenger' will not erase the facts he has presented. This nation was not founded on your christian religion, awww, tooo bad. Your delusion has once again been proven false, but you'll ignore those facts, once again.

  • @mechanicmike69

Ah either I agree with you or I'm delusional eh?

  • @ivlfounder No you are just a delusional fucking moron. You lack any logical thought or reasoning. It is readily apparent to everyone that has conversed with you.

  • @mechanicmike69

And if I agree with you I'm not a "delusional fucking moron"?

  • @ivlfounder You are a delusional fucking moron because your fairy tales are more important than the truth, and because you believe in an imaginary invisible being. You are a delusional fucking moron.

  • if there is a god he/she/it must be laughing at the fundies

  • I guess Martin Sheen missed the part where Thomas Jefferson attended church IN the US Capital building during his presidency and Vice Presidency. Heck, they used to hold church in the Supreme Court Chambers.

Before during and after the first amendment was passed the very men that debated and signed the document attended church IN the Capital building. Both the house and the Senate passed a measure to hold church in the capital building a few years AFTER the first amendment took effect.

  • Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez better known as Martin Sheen is VERY Roman Catholic. He took the name from Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen his "hero" & PEOPLE FOR THE AMERICAN WAY "oppose" Jerry Fallwell & Pat Robertson even though they like Martin Sheen are Knights of Malta just like Henry Kissinger, Billy Graham, Samuel Alito, Silvio Berlusconi, Tony Blair, Michael Bloomberg, Pat Buchanan, George Bush Sr. & his 3 sons...our Protestant founding is being destroyed by Catholics in sheeps clothing.

  • @mushmushkila In Canada, Catholicism = socialism.

  • I am all for letting any person practice whatever primitive beliefs they might hold as long as they practice it in a way that will do no harm to any other person or persons. My problem with religion is when people of "faith" decide they have the right to impose their beliefs on me. That is the point where my tolerance stops and I *will* revolt, I will take up arms against them and I will send them to whatever they think their reward is and I will do so with fervent gusto.

  • Go Martin Sheen!!!

  • Sheen is wrong. John Adams in a letter written to Abigail on the day the Declaration was approved by Congress

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." --October 11, 1798

  • Abraham Lincoln to Charles Chiniquy "So many plots have already been made against my life, that it is a real miracle that they have all failed...My escape from their hands, since the letter of the Pope to Jeff Davis has sharpened a million of daggers to pierce my breast, would be more that a miracle...I know that Jesuits never forget nor forsake [never give up]. Man must not care how & where he dies, provided he dies at the post of honor & duty."Lincoln was murdered by CATHOLIC Booth & Surratts'

  • @mushmushkila

    Fake letter.

  • @ivlfounder It is fruitless to argue, since neither one of us were there. I encourage you research the writings of Charles Chiniquy especially "50 Years In The Church Of Rome" its available to order on-line in paperback for $14.95. Its easy through the on-line Library of Congress to prove Pope Pius IX wrote at least 2 letters that still exist to Davis. His widow, Varina Davis wrote in her book about her husband Jefferson what was in one of those letters. The mind sees what its educated to see.

  • @mushmushkila

Had Lincoln been the victim of a Catholic plot Grant would have made it known.

  • @ivlfounder Does this video upset 'ivlfounder's" false beliefs? This country was not founded on your christian beliefs, you are a delusional fucking moron, again and again.

  • @mechanicmike69

Mike you still don't know what my beliefs are because you still haven't ever asked me.

  • @ivlfounder I know this country was not founded on your christian beliefs as you so happily try to state over and over again. You are a delusional fucking moron.

  • @ivlfounder fake letter?, kind of like your fake beliefs? According to you if the facts prove you wrong, they are false/fake, if they agree with you (very rare) then they are correct. No chance you'll change your beliefs to fit the facts, you change the facts to fit your false beliefs. You are a delusional fucking moron.

  • @mechanicmike69

And here I was thinking you might have the guts to join me in blowing off that letter as an obvious fake.

  • @ivlfounder Why is something you brought up important when you blow off every other point brought up by everyone else? You are worried about a fake letter, that really doesn't change a thing, when you'll take what ancient ignorant Palestinians believed with no evidence or critical analysis. You are a delusional fucking moron.

  • @mechanicmike69

You decided to post here in response to my post.

  • @ivlfounder Yes, it is a response to your post here, that is why it is here I responded, you delusional fucking moron.

  • @mechanicmike69

well I can help you stop crying on at least one yt vid.

  • @ivlfounder "attack the messenger' your typical response whenever someone has put you in your place (always). You are a delusional fucking moron. Your god does not exist and you can't prove otherwise. Life sucks for you.

  • @ivlfounder Come on you delusional fucking asshole, talk about your 'this nation was founded on Christian beliefs' bullshit here. You delusional fucking moron.

  • @ivlfounder Coming from your fake intelligence and view point of your fake invisible being, your point is totally moot. You are a delusional fucking moron. Lincoln's beliefs haven't got a damn thing to do with whether your god exists. Only a delusional moron would spend time trying to prove dead men had the same beliefs as him. Your every comment about dead mens beliefs reveals to anyone intelligent, you are a religiously brainwashed fool trying to justify your religions absurdities.

  • @mechanicmike69

Only you would be upset I object to a forged letter written with the intention of causing bloodshed.

  • @ivlfounder Only you would turn it all around and think I said anything about a letter. I'm talking about you, you delusional fucking moron. Your total lack of comprehension skills is astounding. You are a delusional fucking moron.

  • @mechanicmike69

The topic here remains the fake letter.

    Go try to grandstand elsewhere.

  • Bottom line the constitution does not contain the words, "Separation of Church and State" nor is it implied. The Establishment clause and the free exercise clause neutralize each other. The Wall of Separation (which is not in the constitution) mentioned in Jefferson's letter to the Baptists is intended to keep government out of religion and not the other way around. The framers wanted religion to be a fuctional part of our life if we wished it and not exclude us from our beliefs.

  • @mikepiazz The 1st Amendment is explicitly clear that the government shall not establish a national religion--tacitly separate government from creation of a religion nor give a preferential accommodation to any, period. Nonetheless, it does not declare any restriction in selecting candidates base on their religion, but those elected officials cannot dictate their faith onto others. A perfect harmony of personal faith and freedom from government sanction religion. Now go have your raosted pizza.

  • @sculpt2live You said: "The Mayflower Compact is the cornerstone of the US government."

    You completely missed the point.

This is just one example of revisionist history.

Instead of telling the truth, revisionists deleted God from quotes of the founding fathers, and even from the Mayflower compact.

What would be so harmful in just leaving God in the quotes? Apparently some people don't want students to know the part God played in the founding of the US, and are willing to lie.

  • @sculpt2live Idiot.

  • How to believe the Myth of Separation: 1. Mis-Interpret a letter by Jefferson 2. Blatantly mis-interpret the 1st Amendment 3. Disregard Congressional record & Court records<1900 4. Read nothing written<1900 5. Believe all teachers&media 6. Ignore numerous mixing of church/state by Founders 7. Get all info 2nd hand, rather than the source 8. Mis-Interpret the Treaty of Tripoli&a small selection of founder's quotes 9. Use revised history books=God/faith have been omitted. 10. Ignore reason
  • Martin is that why you worship Howard Dean?

  • It cannot be emphasized too strongly that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded assylum, prosperity and freedom of worship here. Patrick Henry

  • God removed from History books: Words in bold were removed from "The Mayflower Compact" in U.S. History books. "We whose names are under-written having undertaken FOR THE GLORY ...OF GOD, AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH AND HONOR OF OUR KING AND COUNTRY, A VOYAGE TO PLANT THE FIRST COLONIE IN THE NORTHERN PARTS OF VIRGINIA do by these presents solemnly and mutually in the presence

  • What a great video! May the American people not fall for the likes of Lou Engle, Glen Beck, the "Christian" Right and the dominionists who will only bring about a theocratic tyranny and the end of liberty of conscience. It is a church in great spiritual darkness that seek political power. "The union of the church with the state, be the degree never so slight, while it may appear to bring the world nearer to the church, does in reality but bring the church nearer to the world."

  • As if Martin Sheen was epic enough with being TIM from ME2!

  • most of the founding fathers were masons and in masonry there are many people of different beliefs, but in the lodge, they are not allowed to air these beliefs.so it should be in govt.

  • @ CVK92 , I am not twisting anything. The attitude you have is the attitude used to limit the public practice of religion. The Government uses your very argument to take religion out of schools, take it out of town halls, take it out of courts, take it out of universities. Had you read the letter and understood it, you would have seen the point Jefferson was making was that the Government had no business doing any of that. So the quote is out of context.

  • @MSP2222 I havent taken the quote out of context, my argument is whether or not government and religion should be together and the answer is NO they should not, government should not support ANY religion but should protect the free exercise of ANY religion, when someone refuses to pray in school, they shouldnt be punished for it and that is when government steps in and says no. You are trying to twist things again.

  • @ CVK92 , Read the letter. What Jefferson is saying is the exact opposite of what this video leads you to think. "The wall" was meant to prevent the government from making any law to limit any practice of religion. Not to permit the government to make any law limiting the public practice of religion. It's nice you know the source now try reading it.

  • @MSP2222 Freedom of religion by definition also permits freedom FROM religion.

  • @MSP2222 I have read it, Wall of separation between church and state means just that. The two have no business being combined, they are separated (wall of separation) theres not much else you can get out of those words other than they are to be separated. Also when did i say the wall of separation permits the government to limit the public practice of religion? I only said that it keeps religion out of government policies. Try not to twist things around.

  • guess they couldnt find any muslim or jewish zealots...or preachers....

    typical christian bashing

  • This entire video is ignorant. It shows the number of people that can't read. The separation of church and state was not a founding principal. The quotes of Thomas Pain and of Jefferson are out of context.

  • @MSP2222 "There should be a WALL OF SEPERATION BETWEEN CHURCH AND STATE" written in a letter to Danbury baptist in 1802 by Thomas Jefferson. Noone can take those words out of context sorry.

  • Liberals are hypocrites. They want to get rid of Christianity, yet have no problem with Islam in public schools.

  • @StoogeWatcher i dont want any religion being pushed on anyone and i want EVERY religion out of government....Im a Liberal

  • "I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death. "

  • Birth of the American Taliban ! We need to put and end to this now before it get's to far out of control.

  • @MasterMark123 Liberals are the American Taliban. THey are anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, and pro-Islam.

  • @StoogeWatcher

what are you ... 12 years old ?

  • @StoogeWatcher says? you? are you a christian?

  • @CVK92 Yes, I'm Christian and I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of the anti-Christian left.

  • @StoogeWatcher Well Stooge, there is something you should know, most Liberals are Christian. I believe the far right religous nut jobs are hypocrites. But i wont go there, we will just stay with this, government stay out of religion, and religion stay out of government. "Wall of separation between church and state" simple as that.

  • @CVK92 Aren't liberals the ones suing to get rid of Christianity? You talk about "separation of church and state" and keeping religion out of politics, so where are the protests when kids are forced to read Korans in public schools?

  • @StoogeWatcher Aren't conservatives the ones preaching repeatedly about liberals trying to destroy our liberties but yet what is going on with these four lawyers in California? What about wiretapping? Why didnt any of you conservatives cry out when your conservative lawmakers did this? Do you realize that most of the last 50 years conservatives have been in power for most of the time? Liberals arent "getting rid of christianity.

  • @StoogeWatcher I have never heard of koran being forced on kids in school, i have though heard about the bible, and it has happend right in front of me in High school. Let me make this clear for you, I am opposed to ANY religion being forced on someone.

  • Keep creationism out of public schools and I'll keep science out of your religion. ;-)

  • @DeimosSaturn Then keep your Korans out of public schools as well hypocrite.

  • @StoogeWatcher number one, I am not a muslim. Number two, I am not opposed to the bible being allowed in public schools, or korans. I specifically mentioned creationism being kept out of SCIENCE classes. Religious texts are perfectly acceptable in the context of historical significance and literary value, just not as moral or scientific fact.

  • @DeimosSaturn How would creationists like the teaching of evolution imposed at their Sunday schools? They'd freak out! But they want to shove their 'ministry' in all public places..it's hypocrisy of the first order!

  • @DeimosSaturn Yeah you said it a year ago but I totally agree. If they want to teach creationism in school then we are going to teach science in church. What goes around comes around.

  • A lot of these people don't seem to realize that mixing church and state is a double-edged sword. Many of us presume separating church and state prevents the church from controlling the government... but it also prevents the government from controlling the church.

I'm not so sure many of these evangelicals would appreciate going to church and learning about how George Washington anointed Jesus.

  • I follow this concept. I am a Roman Catholic and a Left Wing Liberal. Jesus our Lord said "Give what is due Ceasar and give what is due to God". I love my Church as much as I love God and I love them all equally with our Republic. I think it is not right to teach the Bible as a fact in Public Schools if you want to learn about God go to Church that's where to go.

  • don t worry ,, this good for nothing religion ,, that has done nothing but cause misery ,, abused children, supported wars on both sides.. made money on spilt blood, invested with the likes of hitler.. is going down.. it will be brought down soon.. they will reap what they have sown within the last 1000 years.. i would not want to be in the popes $4,500.00 slippers ....

  • god & jesus are Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny for adults with limited intelligence.... These people have been born into a mass lunacy . Brainwashed from birth they never stood a chance.

  • "limited Intelligence" I am a christian. I converted once I understood the commitment required. I had an IQ test a long time ago and I was pretty close to genius level... most of the people in my church are. We have one autistic guy but, he is still very intelligent, two guys that probably aren't that smart but, they are also mentally ill... About 130 people though that are close to genius level and some of those far surpass it.

  • @MasterMark123 You posted it a year ago, but it is so true. Well said!

  • The one thing we will face in the end is Christ. And those who fought to opress YAhWE. can say...this was my life cause, to take you out of the heart of the people...who are dumb blind goy?

  • you sound like someone who is uninformed... you dont have a special exemption from paying taxes because of what magic you believe in.... hell, we could all claim to be delusional and therefore not pay taxes, lol. its about the 'orginizarions' and government. they should not cross lines or

  • Founding Fathers: Jefferson, Madison, Paine, Clay, Washington. NOT Founding Fathers: Weyrich, Robison, Falwell, Smtih.

  • @LoveNow365 The founding fathers were Christians.

  • @RabidRahker Not. I was going to research all 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention, but it was taking too long. Here are some:

George Washington–Deist per rector of church Washington attended

    Thomas Jefferson-Deist

    John Adams-Unitarian Deist

    James Madison-Deist

    Alexander Hamilton-Presbyterian & Episcopalian

    John Hancock-Congregationalist

    Benjamin Franklin–Deist

    Thomas Paine–Deist

    Gunning Bedford-Presbyterian

  • @LoveNow365 Then what is your point? You picked a few who weren't Christians, according to your "research".

  • @RabidRahker My point is that although you stated ALL founding fathers were Christians, they were not.

  • @LoveNow365 I didn't say all, and you proved nothing. Your "research" states a few exceptions and provides no reference. Did you get them from an atheist web-site... who knows?

  • @LoveNow365 "Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God ... What a Eutopia, what a Paradise would this region be."

  • @LoveNow365 Perhaps this one says it best...

    Patrick Henry

    Ratifier of the U.S. Constitution

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here."

--The Trumpet Voice of Freedom: Patrick Henry of Virginia, p. iii.

  • "...both the legislators and the public considered it appropriate for the national government to promote a nondenominational, nonpolemical Christianity."--official Library of Congress statement

  • 2 quick points to 51362879:

    1) This quote is from an exhibit that was featured at the Library of Congress in 1998. There is nothing "official" about it.

    2) The partial quote omits the key context - it is describing the circumstance under the Articles of Confededration, BEFORE the Constitution was written and ratified. By enacting the Establishment Clause and the "No religious test" clause, the Founders very deliberately rejected the idea of government sponsored promotion of religion.

  • The bible is a book of murder, rape, slavery

    fear,guilt etc.

    IT DOES NOT BELONG ANYWHERE

    IN OUR GOVERNMENT.

  • The Bible is a history of a people and their relationship with their God. It is a religious book serving two religions and multiple denominations.

The First Amendment guarantees NO religion can be established by the State.

BUT it also forbids the State from interfering in religion of its Citizens.

The First Amendment IS that Wall of Separation between Church and State. It is The establishment Clause of the Constitution.

NO State religion, NO State interference in religion. Sheen is wrong

  • I'm sure that if that's all you want to see in the Bible, then that's all you will know.

  • The phrase "Separation of Church and State" has been bandied about for so long that many Americans believe that it is actually in the Constitution. In fact, those three words appear nowhere in the Constitution. Oblivious to the irrelevance of their arguments, and at the same time refusing to acknowledge that no document of state, let alone the Constitution, has ever proposed such a concept, those on the Left have tried to convince the American people that our founding documents warned of the

  • first amendment. these ideas came from james locke, and were reiterated by james madison in the federalist papers, and by james madison and thomas jefferson in the first amendment of the constitution. these guys were one or two generations from horrible things done in the name of religion, here and in europe. they were trying to make sure that never happened here. they didn't want a theocracy. thomas jefferson also wrote on separation of church and state.

  • dangers of mixing politics and religion.

  • PFAW and liberals like Sheen are hypocrites. They openly attack Christianity, but do nothing when kids in public schools are forced to read the Koran and recite Muslim prayers.

  • Thomas Jefferson also said, "Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God."

  • i am a christian, but i even understand the idea of separation of church and state. i also understand the importance. the founding fathers, especially james madison who wrote the constitution, made sure to put this in. these guys were a generation or two removed from horrible things, like the religious wars in europe, witch hunts etc. these people need to read the first amendment, or john locke.

  • Religion shouldnt be in the const whatsoever. Its creeped in (mostly during the 1950's) and its not good. Im a christian, who believes in God. I cringe everytime people argue that we need prayer in schools, or 'Under God' in the const. These people just don't get it.

  • Religion is a mouthpiece for Wicked, evil and selfish people to get their way into peoples mind and pockets and commit the most horrendous crimes in its name. Religion is for The Weak MIND and we should live MINUS it....America Was built from people escaping religion and now look what it has become. Obama used the word NON believers....for the first time...this is a start...soon NON believers will be called THINKERS and Believers as Delusioned....The HUMAN RACE is under threat from RELIGION

  • The elite are members of a minority with power."Democracy is mob rule"--Thomas Jefferson. America is NOT, and was never intended to be a Democracy.. it is a Constitutional Republic. And yes, the founding fathers believed fully in separation of church and state, as do I, but it was to protect the majority from minorities and not the other way around, so dont make the mistake of getting opinions crossed with facts.

  • A FEDERAL Republic, with power shared between states and a national government. Don't forget that.

  • Do they still make witnesses swear to tell the truth over the bible in court of law? I understand the purpose of this rule in court, but I don't think that the bible needs to be included. Its just an idea I had over the technicalities of it really.

  • TekLok - I agree and would be more inclined to support organizations like PFAW if they were challenging rules like that. They could probably gain a lot of supporters if they could get 'in god we trust' off our money.

  • Yeah, how did that tradition start anyway?

  • Politics and religion will never mix and never should. Religion is based on too much individuality and will seperate us all when faced with the task of mass equality and justice.

If there is a complete elitist christian government then what would happen to the rights of non - belivers and belivers of other faiths, they would be purged though the ways of faith perpetuated igorance. (Mass genocide)

Morals exist without god and so can a government...

  • The following is in excerpt from a Letter written by Abraham Lincoln to a mother that lost 5 sons to the Civil War:

'I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.'

  • "...not that the state must adhere to atheist principles which act in the same way religious views do." Not according to the U.S. Constitution, which clearly supports my position, and states in Article 6, section 3: "...no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office of public trust under the United States."

  • Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah!

  • Once again, there is not separation between church and state found in the U.S. Constitution.

  • Literacy is a problem, I'll agree.

  • "The Government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion" -- John Adams. "Christianity neither is, nor ever was part of the common law" -- Thomas Jefferson. "The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries." -- James Madison. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" -- First Amendment.

  • There is no separation of church and state in the U.S. Constitution.

And by the way, Mr. Sheen took his name from Bishop Fulton Sheen, one of the greatest religious minds of the 20th century.

  • Uh, yes, there is. It's called the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment. I don't see how revisionists attempt to re-write the nation's history to make it completely opposite to what the founders said and left for posterity in the Bill of Rights.

  • Uh, no there's not. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free excercise thereof;......

What that means is Congress shall not recognize any religion as the state religion.

You are saying it says "Freedom FROM religion" when it clearly means "Freedom OF religion" It clearly means freedom of the individual to have religious views, not that the state must adhere to atheist principles which act in the same way religious views do.

  • Freedom "of" maintains two key elements U.S. founders had written about, ad nauseum. One, to keep religion out of government, and the second, to practice religion freely without interference. This wall to separate church and state is called the Establishment Clause. Freedom "of" religion is the parameter to practice it freely without interference from or with government, but to claim there is no separation between them is patently false. Religion has no right to impose itself.

  • "Religion has no right to impose itself"

Funny thing, neither does atheism. So it seems like you've got a little problem there, bud!

  • Secularism, according to U.S. founders trumps religion or religious tests in order to keep it out of government. Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Taliban-controlled parts of Afghanistan are theocratic by definition, not the U.S. If Big Religion wants to play in politics, they've gotta start paying taxes. No more free rides to pollute feeble minds at the expense of tax-payers. Time to cough it up, and hold churches accountable for poisoning the well of public discussion.

  • Another funny thing is that some people treat atheism like its just another religion too, when its certainly not, so that's even another problem!

  • What's even funnier is when atheists treat atheism like a religion and then deny it when others point it out.

  • You better look up the definition of religion then, because your argument makes no sense.

  • Dude, tell you what. Don't push your atheism on me, and I won't push my Christianity on you. Deal?

  • Sure, but the only thing I was pushing onto you is learning proper vocabulary.

  • Blow it out your ass!

  • Go back and review the first clause, known to historians and legal scholars as the Establishment Clause.

  • How pathetic that some religious nuts would be offended by what Sheen quoting U.S. founders who put religion in it's place - out of government.

  • I'm not offended by religion or god, just those who claim to speak for Her or Him.

  • thats not what this video says at all.seperation of church and state simply means that no laws be made in the name of god and you can believe in what ever religion (if any) you want.

  • That sentence couldn't be less coherent if you had an untrained monkey rewrite it. Liberals are "offended by freedom of religion"... yet they "roll out the welcome mat for radical Islam"? So from what I understand, people who are "offended by freedom of religion" welcome theocratic tyranny, and freedom of religion only extends to the religion that YOU practice, and no other.

  • Maybe people like Martin Sheen and these other anti-christian bigots at this organization should move to Russia. There they wont have to be threatened. Support the american center for law and justice.

  • just because someone doesn't believe how you do doesn't mean they're bigoted. Do us all a favor and read the constitution and your book.Your teacher stated, Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesars, and unto God the things that are Gods the law of our land isn't owned by christianity.

  • The fundietards are not the brightest bulbs on the tree, too dim witted to realize that the erosion of the separation of church & state is the greatest threat to their own religious freedom.

  • I believe they know they're flatly wrong on the issue and too often are given the benefit of doubt as if they don't know that they're outright lying and reinventing. It's time to hold them accountable when they cross the threshold for church and state.

  • You liberals hate religious freedom for Christians, so you make excuses for Islam.

  • "You liberals hate religious freedom for Christians"

I'd never accuse you of being a Christian, StoogeFeces.

  • i am a christian and a democrat. i actually read the sermon on the mount. if i expect to be able to practice my faith here without any restriction, then muslims get the same right i don't want ANY religion made mandatory in public schools. i don't like religion used as a club to bandy about to force people to do anything.

  • Thank you. That's the kind of thing I wish every religious person would say. Good on you, man.

  • thanks.

  • Everything made me smile up till Martin Sheen.

Great video until the asking for money.

  • Freedom happens when we have the wall of separation.

  • religion the worse invention man has ever created

  • It will be our undoing.
