I love the way they know how to keep things open, passionate and soulful, by just keeping it simple & personal. They feel it and the listener feels it. The bass and drums just develop a great foundation, but the way it all sounds, it's like a musical cloud that the guitar just floats upon. It sounds very real & organic. I wish Mato would stretch out like this more often. It's a great ride as a listener & guitar enthusiast. His sound was amazing when I saw him on the Experience Hendrix tour.
sucks...this band you see now should have stayed together, but they were all family, but im navajo so ive seen what money, growth, and wanting to do something different will change you. They had it right but since they brock up it has never been right. I took ny friend who only listened to rap and classic rock to check them out. the year before man fucking cool ass. needless to say he was blown away! I havent seen them since maybe 8 years....whos counting...still a damn shame....
me i'm from south dakota and we love Indigenous, hoka hey they my kola's , their yanktonee souix me i'm oglala but we still family i saw them live all over Pine Ridge when they were still minor now they are major
I always dug this song. It got some air play several years back. I love that dirty, Stratocaster guitar sound he has. Singer's voice always sounded to me like he must have been 9 feet tall. Not a very mix on this recording; doesn't do the song justice. Totally cool band,
Excellent example from a great band. I'm not sure that anyone else noticed but the best part of this video isn't the soulful lyrics or the SRV tone from the Strat/Deluxe combination. To me, the best part is the tight, focused BASS TONE. Granted, the bass player isn't anything to write home about but the TONE is exceptional!
I miss seeing the family play together. Bless you Mato and kin.
