@AudioRedemption its been a while, & maybe i didn't get it. but i remember something about VST plugins not being allowed access to the piano roll chord information (a restriction of the VST architecture system)

u can export midi information from Harmony Improvisator using a utility tool (can't remember how but i got it working)

in the end, the whole thing was more hassle than i expected

i think i decided it was better to just bite the bullet & start learning chord progressions

@lancsFrogger Hey I got it working . Also it works better in Cubase where I can see the full Cords not a single line hit like in FL Studio . I do understand what you mean to learn cord progressions , but in a way this plugin can teach me that very thing as I use it .

Example - I write a few cords with this plugin to get started on something but then I write down the cords and practice them for a hour a day . Then as time moves on il learn all my songs without that plugin .

@lancsFrogger indeed... you've actually got 2 ways to do this. #1 is saving your recorded chord progression as midi (look at the bottom part of the screen)

#2 is recording the midi track on which HI is writing to.

See HI behaves just as a "virtual" piano keyboard. instead of pressing piano keys, you click with the mouse; but the result is exactly the same, i.e. you're sending midi signals down a midi port, that can be used as an input in an instrument track, and therefore recorded.

Create 2 MIDI tracks. Have your Impro on one track and your sound source (that it will play) on another track. Make sure the input on both tracks are set to Improvisator, and both outputs are set to the sound source. Voila, you will have sound now.

Anyone knows how to get Improvisator to work with Pro Tools? I already wrapped the VST as an RTAS. Now I just need to make a similar setup as shown here so I can actually get sound out of it...

on the bottom of the vst are boxes, record the keys u want in there. to record, in the drop down box on the bottom right, put it on capture.

then open paino roll and its all dun on 1 key.

cant remember what one, black key i think.

keep pressin that 1 key and it will play your shit. its a crap VST anyways. :-P
