Basara was one of the last cool badass characters in Samurai Shodown... It's all about new ridiculous stupid fighters in the last games. SS should have ended in the Amakuza's Revenge game.

Such a tragic character. Every time you hear him laughing frantically, you get the satisfaction of killing someone like a madman, but on the other hand, when his "naked" wife appears at the end, you feel his pain...

Basara is one of the big reasons why I still play Samurai Showdown 3. I really like the "Psycho" trickster type character and Basara fits the bill every bit as well as the original psycho trickster: Vega (Balrog) from Street Fighter. SS3 was Basara at his most awesome. I really miss that win pose where he slits his own stomach (Which regenerates) and tastes his own blood.

I played almost every samurai showdown and didn't se basara sliting his own stomach :-\...in samurai showdown 3 u say?Never happened to me.

That is Bust mode Basara's match end win pose in Samurai Showdown 3. Keep winning and you might see it. For some dumb reason, SNK decided that the conclusion of a match will be met with a win quote screen or do an alternate win pose. Not both...O_o

Mine,too. He was always the maniacal type character,especially with his voice. And who could forget his beatdown super move? Compare to Freeman and Sabretooth.
