  • Bill Clinton can sell you the shirt on your back...

  • Mac and multo, educate yourself. First of all, America doesn't HAVE hard labor camps you ASS. And they weren't trying to get a big story on CNN mac, they were trying to get a report on Current TV - an independent channel. They are respected, unbiased reporters and it's not even known if they DID cross the border. It's quite possible the North Koreans are holding them to gain leverage with the U.S. Please SUPPORT THEIR RELEASE! They have families and loved ones.

  • Of course they were in it for the fame, Mac and Multo are correct. Look at Lisa Ling lots of sensational stories from a 3rd rate news agency got her on national TV. That was their agenda

Respected by who?? Their brand of biased reporting only creates hate and wars. Look at all the calls to invade or nuke North Korea.

  • Lisa Ling is not Laura Ling. Their careers have taken two different paths. If you think Laura and Euna were seeking fame, why do you think they work for Current? They could easily report for CNN. Nobody chooses a career with Current TV if they want to be famous! Have you ever seen one of their reports? What makes you think they are biased? Laura is an exceptional journalist. And if you think the calls to invade or "nuke" N. Korea have come because of Laura or Euna, you are very, very mistaken.

  • its a mighty big coincidence that vice president gore just happens to be the owner of current tv, though, huh?

  • the story i read today in wsj says they have admitted that they crossed...

  • Get this old woman off the stage she is going to piss the North Koreans off. They hate loud mouth dumpy shemales

  • I can imagine 2 cute asians illegally crossing into USA Border to do a story against USA, their country responded as ours would have in same circumstances

  • wow where is the compassion? they have been there for over 100 days they could have been brainwashed to say whatever they are saying now. Lets not forget that we have no clue what happened on march 17th. I think journalists go to the extreme to tell a story that very much needs to be known and they know the risks but that does not mean they deserve the kind of punishment that has been dealt out. Journalists are very brave people and I thank them for their work.

  • Lets all be adults. They knew what they were doing. It was stupid. You have to go over 2 rivers and a well marked boarder, you do not accidentally cross the boarder. They thought they would get get a good story and got caught.

If someone stole something from a store or drove drunk, or did a little heroin and got in trouble because of it shouldn't we believe they brought it on themselves???

  • They're Americans. Of course they don't want to take responsibility.

That's what they would do here - get into something they know they probably shouldn't, then whine about the consequences.

It's a reality check isn't it? Wandering into a shithole like North Korea & getting locked up.

Maybe they'll think twice about doing this again as they're stuffed into thier cell the size of an animal carrier every night.

    Enjoy your stay girls!

  • 12 years hard labor for illegally entering a country....Damn they got screwed..They will probably die in those camps like alot of others have...I hope they can escape or we send in some covert people to get them out.

  • Am i the only person here in awe that America is not putting just a 'little' more pressure an n korea about this. they take our reporters to 'death' camps, launch missles, detonate nuclear weapons, and .... silence. When will this administration grow a pair of nuts?

  • The look on hillary's face is not encouraging, I think she knows these two journalists are doomed.

Let us talk honestly about these camps they are sentenced to. The journalists were sentenced to go to death labor camps. There are many of these in north korea, where often entire families are sent to work until they die. They are not given enough food to survive well. Almost everyone who goes will die. This is one of the most evil governments in world history it is an atrocity.

  • these women obviously witness something that is against human rights and that's why they got lock away. the terrible thing about this is america is not doing nothing about it just letting these women sit and getting abused all sorts of ways in prison. people be afraid to travel to russia, korea, and iraq because you can easily be next if you witness injustice happenning in foreign soil.

  • give me a fuckin break the bitch fucked up trying to make a cnn prime time report just like her sister so get real

  • American policy with human rights is complete bullshit sometimes.

  • i wonder what the motive was behind these 2 women for breaking the law in north korea? fame maybe

  • For journalist they were not very well informed on the penalties for illegally entering North Korea.

  • I don't get why most big countries don't just team up and get rid of this countries dictator. He is obviously a very dangerous person that should not be in charge of anything. Fuck humanitarian crap just go over and nuke the place before they do it to someone else.

  • Nuke? rofl you don't know much about politics or history, do you?

South Korea and Japan are some of the biggest weapon customers for the U.S. Military, and why do you think they buy so many weapons from the US? What would happen if the US gets rid of North Korea so easily?

And ever wondered why Osama is still not hunted down yet?

The United States of Amerifuck has no intention of capturing or killing the true dictators nor the terrorists.

  • It's never quite that easy, particularly given the following: 1. China is terrified of a destabilized North Korea, which could cause hundreds of thousands if not millions of refugees to flood their borders

    2. Even if Kim Jong Il were taken out, there's no certainty that it wouldn't trigger a new North-South war not to mention who would take power afterward (who could be even less predictable or worse)

    Yep, it sucks.

  • just declare war on this north korea thingy. They have been a pain in the arse and now we have a excuse to bomb their ass

  • Yes lets start a ThermoNuclear war over 2 journalist. Fucking retards (all the commentators) , they knew the risk and they got fucked, they should've been smart like their camera man and booked it when they had the chance.

  • Ya, and if the war escalates, it can turn into the World War III. I would like to see you getting sent to North Korea.

I mean, you want a war, right? LOL

  • Im worried that these two girls will be sexually assaulted during their prison sentence. Sadly, it will likely happen. I once heard a rumor that Kim Jong Il has the largest collection of porn on earth.... sick bastard!

  • I'm sure they took that into consideration when they were evaluating the risks.

  • i don't think they have to worry about being sexually assaulted because they are asian. it is general knowledge in south korea that kim jong likes sweedish hookers.

  • The journalists will die heroes and Kim Jong Il will burn, that's the most likely scenario.

You do not stop nuclear policy for two people no matter how great, they are a distraction.

  • What happens if they don't released this two woman? Are we gonna go to war with this country especially they have nuclear missles. More headache for the Obama/Clinton Administration.

  • Just for 2 girls? That would be the funniest excuse to go to war in the mankind history.

If America has nothing to gain from North Korea, then it won't obviously attack it.
