when steve asked about what they were gonna do now that the employer was dead, bishop said "now that is up to you".. he was righ, Steve did have the choice. Instead of agreeing with the new start with new identities and all, Steve decided to go for bishop and try kill him for revenge. Like bishop said earlier in the movie "Revenge is an emotion that can get you killed"
