  • Are you just using the default lense?

  • This Is Great! Keep it up,

and would you still the canon XH-A1 one of best, or are there other cameras such as: Canon XL2 3CCD, Canon XL1.... that might be better.

    Please get back to me

  • He's used an adapter like the Letus...pity he won't answer questions...

  • Hello, answer us!!

  • wow!

  • How do you get this "film look" in with this camera?

  • Does this camera create rendering problems when it comes to editing in Final Cut Pro?

  • Very nice footage. It would be great if you could post any info about the settings used both on the XHA1 and on the computer to achieve this image on the description of the video. Thanks.

  • Gorgeous, nice preset. I love it!!

  • Maybe I'm doing it wrong, BUT, I cannot seem to get a sharp focus with this same camera. (and I do it manually) Perhaps it's the Pinnacle studio I use for editing. It looks sharp on my LCD screen, but comes out fuzzy on the software's screen. (wtf ???)

  • @conewells Pinnicle,,,uuk...That is not a good program

  • @conewells Thats because the software compresses it. It'll only be good quality on the tape, not the computer

  • the idea that video can't look like film is a myth brought to you by four dollars a second super 35. super grade video does look a little different from film but in my opinion it's just as good if not better. the point is to know what you want mind my asking what are you going to do now that you've mastered the XHA1

  • the idea that video can't look like film is a myth brought to you by four dollars a second super 35.

  • Hey would you know if this camcorder has better quality then the Canon XA10 and just better overall?.. Cheers.

  • very nice. i'm considering this or the canon 5d mark ii, which is a dslr camera. what exactly are the advantages of a camcorder to dslr?

  • @jiffrey32 Full time auto focus, better audio. Thats about it

  • @jiffrey32

it's the shadow you cast I mean if it's scenery or people you know or actors there's not any difference provided you're good with audio rigging. but if you want strangers to talk to you a camcorder with lots of buttons makes them feel like they're on TV or something and so they're more willing to open up because they feel more important.

  • name of the music ?

  • What did you edit on? I'm on Avid Media Composer 5. How did you export before loading to YouTube to get the 1080p? Did you use h.264? Check out my "Chicago Blizzard Lakefront" video. It was shot on an HV40 and was my first test with the 24f mode. Also first HD YouTube upload. My XH-A1s is supposed to arrive today but... there was a blizzard so...?

  • why the objects in motion are so blur ? you can remove it ? or you need better camera ?

  • @sebek3939 that's kinda the point...

  • This was great... What is the music?

  • awesome!! can u tell us what you did for that preset? i would love to be able to shoot like that!

  • Did you shoot at full telephoto? Looks like you maxed out the lens. Just curious. I didn't see any grain. Good low-light on that camera. But it looks like you don't reply to comments. Oh well. Thanks for sharing.

  • does your video show any grain on full screen?

    Cheers

  • That was very beautiful.

    What was your preset?

  • That was very beautiful

  • whats the name of this song?

  • nice work! can you...recording with canon xh a1s....in 24p ???

Please help me...do you?? THANKS A LOT!

  • This looks amazing :')

  • it looks great, especially at 0:44

  • did you use a lens adapter for this? and if so, which lens?

  • very very very very great shots Jordi.. i like them alot

  • Very nice indeed!

I've been exceptionally pleased with my XH A1, but wanting to shoot more "filmy" independent films, have now decided to move onto a "true film look" and upgrade to a RED One. Aside from proper 35mm DOF, it gives you 12 bit RAW to play in, variable frame rates and 4 channel uncompressed sound. And I can use all my old Nikkors too.

p.s. As per evo, I'd love to know what the track is! Thanks!

  • Beautiful just beautiful.

Btw whats the name of the track?

  • Color Correction works miracles...

  • Great video - what are your presets in camera and rendering ?

  • Excellent video. I'll probably be getting this camera today. I'd love to get that preset, if you can manage it.

  • awesome footage. Congratulations

    Can you share the preset?

  • really looks professional..great

  • Shot with a 35mm adaptor? Looks great!

  • Hehe, nope, I wanted to get one, but anything good was just too expensive, I have been trying to achieve low DOF for ages, and finally cracked it! Get far away and zoom. it does give some stunning results!

  • What changes did you make to your camera?

  • Comment removed

  • What does it do though?

  • It changes the picture colour, depth, contrast, hue, I will send you a link to what it looks like.

  • Looking forward to more stuff mate. MD11F in recently but pitch black in and out. Jeez did I hear it though!

  • It was very heavy!!

  • I hear it is back on Monday?

  • @GatwickSpotting Back tonight I think...?

  • According to the Spotters List it has been delayed till Monday :S

  • Yeah sorry I saw it in the list but didn't see the big CX next to it!

  • Haha, no probs!
