I just got the game yesterday and have already put in 13 hours into the game and I must say that the game is amazing. I completed Ys 7 and loved, but to be honest I love the challenge of the boss fights in this one more.

@markolipovec NO, this was probly very easy mode or easy mode. just in nightmare mode the dragon boss can probly kill you in 4 hits very easily, not to mention that there is something beyond nightmare: INFERNO!

Ok this is a terrible trailer, this shows none of the good bosses, and also the vdeo skips parts the game is a lot more fun then this.

Also 1. This is a Remake, the game is also a port from the pC version which is years old, not old enough to look like that but considering it's also a Remake of a 1990's game it's like let's say Persona 1's PSP Remake of graphics.

2. This is either on normal or easy mode. There are 3 more difficulty levels after normal.

I hate boss fights where the boss just stay rooted to their position shooting out stuff.. freakin boring as hell... what's the point of calling them boss when they can't even do something like move? both bosses shown had wings for goodness sake...

@QuiRkNoVa This is actually a poor sampling of the boss fights in the game. There are 15 bosses in OiF, and only 3 of them are completely stationary -- the third, not shown in this video, is so kickass it doesn't matter. The vast majority of boss fights in this game are intense and challenging; with several of them moving at high speeds in erratic patterns.

Highly recommended for fans of Zelda, Castlevania, or anyone tired of the slow pace of RPGs today.

@LaquansVlog Really, I want to know. How is this a Final Fantasy or Zelda ripoff in the slightest? Final Fantasy isn't the only fantasy RPG series, and Ys is only similar to the series genre-wise. Zelda? Well, the series' roots were Zelda-styled games, but I don't remember that series turning into fast-paced Action RPGs.

At the worst, you could say it takes elements from other things: but really, it doesn't. Like I said, Final Fantasy came out after Ys, and the Legend of Zelda influences on the series are pretty small these days. If you're going to make stupid claims, then at least have the slightest bit of support for them.
