Also, some advice for the newer players. It's best to keep at least one plane with regular Stingray Missles to take down Very Small and Small UFOs. Avalances destory them rather than make them crash land. The majority of the planes should have Avalances though, especially when they start moving to Large UFOs.

i was playing this over 15 yrs ago , i have for pc and playstationa few copies i try to load on updated comp does not work with windows xp freezes and no sound . i always go for more scientists fast research more living quarters etc . they have a program for it but i dont know nothing about it .

i play the DOS Version of the game, useing the DOS Emulator Dosbox.

Works pretty nice under any windows System and linux :) Check it out.

Well there are ways to download it from the internet for free, just do a proper google search, i think you will find it. The patches, updates are also for free in the net.

You can also buy it on steam i guess, but i never bought any games on steam and never will, copyrestriction my ass.
