I was wondering if Sheepshaver had any upper-end Mac OS9 ROMs at all, such as the 256 MB RAM, available, because while I do have classic software, it is software from the final days of OS9, where that kind of RAM was demanded, such as graphics or the earlier versions of iMovie. If anyone has a tip on how to find something of this sort, that would be helpful.
This is not stable. The OS boots just fine, but when I try to launch Finale (I like the older versions best), the entire program quits. No beach ball, no nothing. It just crashes. Kid Pix Studio Deluxe does work for my sisters, however. I guess some programs work and some don't.
I can't get the RapidShare thing to work. I know you can torrent it, but I don't like the security risk thing in torrenting. Does anyone want to post the installer to MegaUpload. @shapeworkstudios1 you might want 9 over 10 because no 9 applications work with 10. So if you have a childhood computer game that doesnt work anymore, this is the best news you've had in 10 years!

@kittenkat88 Once you've installed this, there will be a MacOS9 folder in the applications folder. Simply click on the file called "Classic.dmg" and an icon for it called "SheepShaver" will appear on your desktop. Then, simply drag in the game you want to run. Then drag the icon in your desktop to the trash until you can't see it again. Then run sheepshaver and it will be there.
@weeblerbob Yes they do. Just barely. So does Linux, barely. However, Windows gets them (not even joking) at least 500X as much. Windows is also more likely to fail, or crash. But with linux or mac, you're more likely to get rid of the virus, AND you'll probably be less effected by it.

and the last one, you can run Mac OSX 10.4, 10.5 or Later (I think) natively on your pc without booting on Windows, Linux or any other operating system, just search Mac OSX x86 in Google. after that you will need like a Dual-Layer DVD so you can burn the ISO Image after downloading. then you might need to backup your files before contiuening. and for this one you might also need some partitioning skills like deleting, creating, resizing, etc.

Yes, but for Mac OS 1-(some version of 6) you'll need vMac and vMac.Rom, for (Some Version of 6)-7 you'll need Basilisk with a rom like Quadra650.rom, for Mac OS 8-9.0 you'll need sheepshaver with the neworld.rom or newworld.rom, if you want to run Mac OSX 10.0-10.4 then you'll need PearPC and PearPC Control Panel, and you don't need a rom for this one,

Do you happen to know if this will allow the running of pre Os 9 programs on this emu? I just bought a copy of Gizmos and Gadgets along with Math Ace Jr for my Mother's 2nd grade classroom as they got rid of all the old computers so I plan on installing this to her intel iMac.
