Who is he? He sings in different style and feeling,really,really good for a difficult emotional song. That's what I learned at my music school,clear articulate,vocal control, and used your own feeling and style to give soul of the song. Well,he made it. Pretty good.

I agree Ted Neeley is classic but Steve Balsamo is exceptional stunning for his performance in Hollnad June 2004. For an opera singer this is a very difficult song, way on the other side of the spectrum of styling,,,but he didn't do too bad cuz he's just mad talented.

Everybody who's saying that his voice ain't powerful... of eff off. :P people have different styles of singing. He doesn't have to SHOUT to carry the emotion, he already does it with gestures, facial expressions and tricks with his voice in right parts. Not EVERYBODY has to sing it exactly like, eg. Steve Balsamo does, people have different styles and voices and techniques. Im Tae Kyung would sing this even better now, after 4 years I think.

but when it comes to this performance, I think he should have focused more on the way of expressing the feeling, rather than just singing itself, because this is musical song. If he has a chance to listen Ted Neeley's renditon, he may have understood what I'm concerning. anyway, this was good though.

hmmm...he's alright, but the highlight of the song is when the singer hits that high G. If you want to hear the best jesus, listen to steve balsamo sing this song. It's all over youtube.
