one point i have to make. as great as this man was, he was not the first "african' to defeat colonialist forces. if the battle with the spanish happened in the early part of the 20th century, you should all know that in ethiopia in the 19th century, we defeated the italians in the battle of ADAWA. look it up. this was the first time any africans, berber or black ever faced a colonial superior euro army and beat it to the man in battle.
Not the first defeat but the largest. the ethiopians did defeat the italians but with heavy casualties either way we are happy for both and want a good future for both!
