  • Hey Pete, do you know much about the Topping TP30 and do you have any opinions about it? It has a built in dac and I think it's a simpler solution for me.

  • The Topping TP21 is an excellent T amp. I'm running a Topping TP21 with a tube preamp front end and it sounds incredible. I have the rig connected to a pair of custom speakers from Fritzspeakers. Click on my name to see a video of my TP21 in action.

  • what exactly is the point of only having a single speaker? is there a sq advantage over a 2 or 3way setup?

  • Hexi, I have a question, what did you major in?

  • Man, you need to give more information about T-Amps, and the Topping TP21 itself!!!

  • Awesome video! I am now wanting to build a set of high end PC speakers with a set of the Fostex FE103e drivers and the Topping amp! However, there was a typo on your diagram. :)

  • So do you hate me now?? Because i still want you to look at my prototypes that I have for some hi fi home audio speakers. Like you, i believe box acoustics is everyting.

  • @cesdog29 Provided that I have the time... Though if you need acoustic consulting, you'll want to go to the PWK Designs web site.

  • I guess any one who debates with you is inferior. my ability to express myself through words are demoleshed in your presents.

  • @cesdog29 I don't care how you express yourself, just know what you're talking about. Eloquence is not a prerequisite of knowledge.

  • it does. you would not feel comfertable seating too close too a tv nore too far. Please forgive my spelling.

  • @cesdog29 Please educate yourself on the principle of nearfield stereo propagation before attempting any further arguments and attempting to justify them with unrelated circumstances.

  • @HexiBase Okay i have a 10" Klipsh sub and i am getting a tp 30, can you please explain how you went about hooking up the sub? (its powered)

  • That's the thing... when you have songs that sound amazing, they sound great on just about any thing. To make a loud speaker that can adapt to any music is the key.

  • @cesdog29 Again, at this point, sound quality is a non-issue for me. It's the three-dimensionality I'm striving to improve on.

  • @HexiBase but three-dimensionality sound is defaulted if you must seat so close to the system. Im on to a prototype but you wont listen to me.

  • @cesdog29 It is not at all a default, and your proximity to the speakers has nothing to do with it.

  • What are some good songs to test your soundstage with? I'm currently working on mine...having trouble achieving any depth, though.

  • Wow, your listening room, and audio recording gear are so clear, the sound I hear through my mediocre Walmart headphones Is enhanced!

  • Never mind.. your probably a very busy person and wouldn't give me the time day anyway.

  • Fuckn that!! i don't get a response. I COULD HAVE GOT HIM LAID!!

  • @cesdog29 Umm... Huh?

  • @HexiBase you only reply on negitive comments! so fuck you kindly.

  • @cesdog29 Ok... Thanks for your contribution to the comment section. I'm sure all my other viewers will appreciate it as well.

  • I'm movin to Arizona so I can hang out with him lol

  • I want to get into this pro audio, i guess its called.. =\ ... I listen to all my music off my PC. IN FLAC / 320kbs+ (hey some stuff is hard to find)... Or using a original cd.. ANYWAYS. I have a PC, sound card is a Creative Titanium HD (PCIe) going into a pair of Sennheiser 595's. BASICALLY, will this amp help me out once I upgrade to the Senn 650's (maybe with the nice cable too)? Is my sound card " good enough"? I just want to know whats limiting me. And whats next on the list. HELP hah

  • Hey hex..my name is cesar and I'm inspiring to become an audio engineer. I have had passion for sound since I was 9 years of age. I never persude my dream till I almost died in a motorcycle crash. I'm not as intelligent as yourself but I know I'm going to do great things. Maybe you can get in touch with me and I can send u my design?

  • I've been thinking about trying a digital amp but I'm not sure if I will lose anything compared to the old class A amp I've got. Are most of the class D amps digital only for their power supply section or both power and output stage?

  • @svtcontour My advice would be to listen to your prospective amp choice. One type won't invariably sound better over another.

  • Then you would really want to listen to my car then .......

IF you like sound quality so much why do you build spl boxes

why dont you build a sq car and compete in Meca ?????

  • @MrStangerbanger Who is your question directed at? SPL enclosures are a rarity for me, so I assume you're referring to someone else. Also, sound quality is the easy part. Holographic soundstage is what I aim to perfect, and a vehicle cabin is hardly the place for it.

  • @HexiBase so trueeeeeee... cars are for driving.... music is best enjoyed in a quiet room with pure sonic orgasms of frequency heaven.... i.m.o.

  • @trinicaleb I would still chalk up frequency response, or it's flatness, to sound quality. And that's still the easy part. The problem with cabin geometry is just that; the cabin geometry. And with glass 360 deg. around you at ear level, there's really no way to diffuse early reflections so your imaging is always bound to be shit, no matter how good the sound quality.

  • @MrStangerbanger When I say sound Quality i mean imaging ,staging, width, time alignment , ect ect ect

And your right sound quality is easy in the house but not in a car ......

What is hard is when you take a vehicle cabin and produce a Holographic soundstage .....

  • @MrStangerbanger Never heard it done right in a car. I'm sure some people think they've come close, but they have only one another as reference. I spend hours a day in my listening room and there's just no comparison.

  • @HexiBase Have you ever listen to the Magic Bus (Jon Whitledges)

  • @MrStangerbanger No, but I sense that you're trying to make a rule out of an exception. In that regard, it could also be argued that led is a good material to make balloons out of since the Mythbusters made it happen in a rather isolated instance.

  • @HexiBase Its funny how you use big words to sound smart ..j/k

With sound processors today you can make cars sound amazing period....(they have come a long way)

I think the problem is you have never listen to any good SQ car systems

I have listen to some of the best sounding home and car stereos in the world and with sound processors tech today its 100% do able

You always think your stereo sounds the best in tell you hear something that sounds better .....

    Were are you located ?

  • @MrStangerbanger You keep dragging this back to sound quality. We've discussed it; that's just one aspect of sound. I'm sure there are car speakers boasting more clarity than the ones in my listening room, but that's not a concern; mine already sound neutral enough. I'm talking about the next big milestone: Accurate directionality. Hearing instruments in front of you, behind you, above you, near by, far away, as if you were sitting at the live performance in place of the microphones.

  • @MrStangerbanger By the way, I'm at 2333 E Rialto Place, Tombstone, AZ 85638. Come on down and take a listen.

  • wheres the bass

  • @CarCustomsEnt I'm not sure I understand the question.

  • I'm trying to set something like this up, I wish I had your brain for the time being. Great video as always Pete. Subscriber for years and I'm not going anywhere :]

  • @cr8silverbullet Thanks.

  • Definitely a true audiophiles setup

  • @mrchrisk36 It's getting there.

  • ... i get excited when i get just a /hint/ of true stereo sound with my POS cambridge soundworks speakers plugged into my computer... I get further excited when I get the chance to listen to a friend's older nicer computer speakers... I get tingly inside when I get to drive my car and listen to my polk setup... but i can't even /imagine/ what it sounds like in your listening room. I hope one day I get to find out.

  • @tonythephatone One major disappointment about computer audio are the sound cards. Even most aftermarket "high fidelity" alternatives like the ones from M-Audio or Creative Labs give the sound a very inert, underwhelming feel. To make matters worse, most people play MP3s, so you begin with garbage, and you pass it through garbage, and then there's the whole matter of amplification and the speakers... Oh man. Yeah, if you ever pop in for a visit, I'll be glad to demo the listening room.

  • Thanks for the breakdown.

  • @djmrr No problem.

  • This amp in your opinion is better than the Emotiva you previously had?

  • @calvinblinkee Well, you heard me talk about the difference going from the BPA-1 to the TP21. The TP21 sounds better right out of the box.

  • I never seen so much shit in my life. Here I was thinking my little listening room was the shit until you crushed my dreams.

  • @LooseCannon48 It's not about the amount of shit, it's about the configuration and the performance.

  • @HexiBase

what did that set up cost? (ball park)

    very impressive as always

on a separate Note....lol.... <--un-expected pun) when you have a chance check you email, i had a ? for you :) new car new setup

  • @FatManRepair I don't know. I don't think I'd like it as much if I knew how much money I sunk into it, so I'll just continue to price it one upgrade at a time.

  • @HexiBase

understandable. i know what you mean, the car audio set up i am still getting together is costing a LOT. an i try not to think about it lol
