Zelda has a limited range of approaches. Especially against Snake (and most high tier characters). Doppel is a great Zelda. Its just, he was trying to approach and PM read him and punished him for it. The Zelda should've stopped attempting to approach. Shes too light and has too little attacks that out-prioritize Snake's tilts.

Personally I think this zelda player isn't very good. he's trying to grab to much and not using zeldas surprising reach. She hits HARD from a decent distance, has some quick attacks like her B move that leave allow for a quick and powerful attack. get them in the air and nail a sweet spot kick =P

In Melee, you see people doing ridiculously fast and skilled things, but Brawl looks so much slower, less impressive, and honestly, the players look worse.

It's a good way to keep your enemies on their feet... if you lay both mines everywhere, it keeps your enemies dodging and limits their strategies

The answer to projectiles is a reflector. The only thing Snake has going for him is speed and knockback, otherwise other characters surpass him easily. Metaknight could beat Snake without any type of problem at all, same with Mario, Wolf, and anyone who has semi-quick moves.

Snake is awesome...in MGS. Smash bros...different story. So many characters can rack up damage faster than him, have equal knockback to him, and are as quick as him. Learning curves don't matter, whatever character is good matters. There is no point in trying to take Snake, a bad character, and trying to make him good.

In response to you, speaking with your head up your ass, I'm just gonna say that Snake is made of win in brawl. His tilts are some of (if not the) best in the game. Snakes neutral A is incredibly fast and probably the best AAA combo in the game. Snake also doesn't need to rack up that much damage, due to the fucking insane knock-back on his tilts. Well, I think brawl has attempted to have players use both zelda and sheik appropiately depending on the situation. While sheik still has impressive speed and range with her melee strikes, zelda is superior in terms of range and power attacks. Of course maybe the loss of needle spamming and chain grabbing half the characters made sheik a little less apealing to some players...
