Hi there ! Thank you for this little demonstration.
I'm gonna buy the same guitar next week and I would like to know if this guitar is also usable in Funk or Blues parts. I've seen others videos from Aria Pro II guitars, but not too much from this Excel series. The few videos I could seen were only for play Metal or rarely Funk. Could you help me ?
Sorry if my English expression is bad, I'm French.
i trust you are getting it as a starter guitar? dont get me wrong i absolutely love mine but it cannot measure up to my ESP LTD. the guitar certainly looks metal enough but the pickups and sustain are a bit weak. For blues and funk maybe u will need to change the main humbucker for something more "hot". dont worry too much about sounds though , the effects on the makret today can produce any type of sound u want.
i got it 9 years ago.. and it was second hand for another 3.. It still works perfectly and the sound is awesome. But i dont think it can be used for a gig unless its in a small room
I was searching for ages to find a video with someone using an Excel series Aria, but couldnt find one, so I bought the guitar I was looking at and now I can find a video of someone using it, lol, thats typical!
what do you make of it?!? I love mine, but the pickups are quite weak, I have to turn my FX board up far higher than with any guitar I own.
Well to be honest that is not my main guitar. I use an ESP LTD EC-1000VB but the Aria was my first one and i really love it. True the pickups are a bit weak but just listen to that sound it produces..
I rarely use the floating bridge on any of my 4 guitars.. thats why my fav is the ESP one with the Tonepros bridge.. On the Aria I had to use a cloth to dub the bottom end of the bridge (whrere the springs are) cos it kept humming on the amp.
@brandon5pennies it aint a monster amp thats for sure but it has a nice sound for a practice amp. Has a distortion cct on it that you can footswitch but its more like a blues distortion not metal. Reverb is also nice. Its really a good allround choice.
@andreouand yeah i knew it wasn't generally a metal amp fortunately i got a job and don't have to settle anymore hopefully going to drop coin into an egnater rebel 20 or something a little nicer since i'm not in a band at the moment no need for a giant half stack cluttering up my room
I have the same guitar but in silver

I know, the splitcoil gives so many different tones, I normally play an esp ltd mh-1000, do you use the floyd rose much on the aria?
