In later episodes, we find out that Ed was always a good guy, and know the truth about Dan's mother. He wasn't traveling much later on, but during these times, it's not like Ed didn't want to be home, but Crystal needed to face reality. She wasn't working, they had a mortgage and two kids and now another on the way, someone had to be the provider.

I think Roseanne was funnier when she was BIGGER! (1-4 seasons)She was HILARIOUS! and she wouldn't try to hide that she would laugh. Thats what made US laugh! As the show got older she got WICKED TAN and thinner. She stopped laughing,, I think cuz she stopped having FUN ?!..

haha yeah the ending is my favorite!!! reminds me of when I worked in a bingo parlor. some of the older ladies would get pissed when someone else got a bingo. they take their bingo seriously. but this was actually the last episode of the show I saw. thought I had seen them all until my cousin told me about this episode and watched it for the first time a few years ago. one of my faves :)
