  • women cry to titanic, men cry to this one

  • I wanna be cremated on a funeral pyre once it's my time to go to the other world.

I know it's very polluting but there is something noble about it and DV, in his death, couldn't be honored with a better way.

What do North America laws say about outside cremation?

  • who's bob Anderson?!?

  • @nthghostman13 He was a fencer who played Darth Vader in the fight scenes in ESB and ROTJ.

  • May the force be with you, Bob Anderson...and thank you!

  • I came here because of Bob Anderson.

    R.I.P.

  • R.I.P, Bob Anderson!

  • He survived this, but age caught up to him, lawls!

  • RIP Bob Anderson :-(

  • to the 2 people who disliked this i find your lack of faith disturbing.

  • Our girlfriends have Titanic to cry to and we have this. This is our "Titanic moment" and it always moves me.

  • @theproducerspart2 Well, I cry on both, so I guess... I'm both the boyfriend and the girlfriend? (mindfuck!)

  • this ALWAYS brings me to tears!!

  • y do i cry every time i see this?

  • Darth: I'm on fire...AGAIN?

  • no doubt one of the best scenes from the original trilogy

  • i would like to see the faces of the people that doubted the profecy and anakin when darth vader killed lord palpatine

  • The villain died the legend borned

  • Vader was a father, and what father wouldnt save his save in that situation

  • @TheNeo2725 save his save.. twice.. The force has abandoned you!

  • The emperor hunted and killed every jedi in the galaxy except the jedi by his side, afterall Vader was a father, and what father wouldnt save his save in that situation

  • darth is dead

  • @shonme45 Which Darth? Theres many people that stars with the name Darth on Star Wars.

  • "He was seduced into the darkside, but did indeed destroy the sith and brought balance to the force but through redemption from his son Luke"

  • ^ What im gonna do to my halo reach when halo 4 comes out...

  • Best film and Music ending... Simply Marvellous

  • Anakin Skywalker can finally rest...

  • Great music.

  • this makes me cry :'(

  • @GAMERelite134 Me too I remember crying during this scene as a kid before the prequels came out and my dad was like "Why? Darth Vader's evil" I said "No he's not he saved his son and redeemed himself in the end!"

  • Fuck... no matter how many times I see it, it still gets me :/

  • That bastard had it coming

  • Everytime I see Vader's Funeral I cry.

  • who the heck burns bodies as a funeral?

  • @zafran44667788 Hindus,Buddhists,Jains,Sikhs,Pagans and of cours JEDIs

  • @MrsCoverdale666 also Vikings

  • @zafran44667788 so youve never heard of cremation?

  • Anakin fulfilled the prophecy by destroying the sith and brought balance and peace back to the galaxy by killing the Emperor. That is why I like Anakin. And I shall not refer to him as Darth Vader.

  • @movieguy54321 there has never been movie with Anakin.....and definitely not the one with jar jar fuckface...

nope its not star wars movie...

it may say it is but it is not

it's never going to be reality

    nope...

    i refuse to accept it

  • Finally he can rest.

  • Plastic smoke.

  • Darth disliked this video.

  • @VongolaAQW223 Sidious isn't real either

  • And so died Anakin Skywalker, called by men Darth Vader, at once the greatest traitor in Jedi history and the most tragic Jedi ever to wield the lightsaber. RIP Anakin. I hope you and Padme have a long life together in Star Wars Heaven

  • I were allways wondering how it would be if Anakin/Vader didnt die.

  • "He's the chosen one...he'll bring the balance..."

  • @DarthStarscream1138 yer the good side of the force over powered and by joining the dark side he did bring balance

  • @TheTommieboi I hope it wasn't sarcasm. ;)

  • This is the greatest death of the best Villain/Chosen One, honor him!

  • The final end of Vader, good bye..........

  • Thanks John Williams.

  • that black suit can't be burnt by a blaster. It's an oven. I think those little furry humanoids are just cooking Vader.

  • All fled, all done, so lift me on the pyre;

The feast is over and the lamps expire.

  • @DucksFromHell Everything must be destroyed so that Everything can be renewed. Individuals as well as planets such as our Earth must periodically be challenged and renewed by FIRE. As in Heaven, so on Earth as Hermes Trismigistus taught us! Our Cosmos wills all things towards final wholeness.

  • @GordonMorrice sorry i meant burn

  • The 1 dislike must be Palpatine. Or somebody is gravely mistaken...

  • such a beautiful song and video

  • too sad.... worst part ever in star wars

  • @theregularguychannel Its the best scene of all

  • I'm Sarah. It made me cry so much & it still does. I have lost 2 new friends who died here in the hospital where I am as I watch this on my laptop.

  • I believing the force it soronds us and binds us

  • How does the armor burn. I mean, I thought its probably made of some futuristic material that resists fire and probably would melt before it burns. Also, why do the Ewoks think its a good idea to light a fire on wooden platforms. In the trees. With a bunch of branches hanging right over you.

  • @hpotter103 these are the things i think about while people are sound asleep lol

  • @hpotter103 There must be a Smokey the Ewok.

  • as sad as it is to see Vader died after you know hes a good guy it has to happen follow me here:

by bringing Luke into the world he creates someone to blance out the force, so therefore he (Anakin) is the one who brings blance to the force. Also that he doesn't allow Luke to fall to the dark side (by killing Palpatine) leaves him the one thing the dark side has left and when he dies the dark side is left with nothing. I dunno thats just what I thought anyway

  • kinda adds ironic insult to this that luke is sad that his father died, but at the end fireworks go off as if everyone else is happy that he's dead

  • @adelnhanna They're not happy that Vader's dead. They're happy for the fall of the empire

  • Use the fork Luke. My spuds need turning

  • i want this song played at my funeral

  • tHATS IN THE ALTERNATE ENDING

  • @MegaDevilboy5 um, no?

  • *Anakin wakes up, still alive cos Mace Windu's ghost kept him alive*

    Windu:Remember this? Hahahaha...

Anakin:Nah, I'm used to it by now. You should try it sometimes, it's better than getting electrocuted.

  • The Binary Sunset theme fits it so much...

It actually frames the trilogy, it plays, when Luke's adventures start as a boy looking skywards, innocent, knowing nothing of the Force, and it plays, as Luke cremates his once-Jedi father, now as a Jedi himself, looking at the flames as he once looked at the sunset...

  • I want to be cremated when I die

  • So his tears about love, about hatred, about his crimes are finally cried and sent to the heavens...

(all the smoke from the helmet)

  • Not the first time Vader burned

  • I think this funeral was from viking tradition or something, sorry if Im wrong :P

  • Wasn't setting Darth Vader on fire the first time bad enough? Does one really need to torch his body yet again? Show offs.

  • men cry to this and women cry to titanic

  • @Arthur900 Amen brother

  • @Arthur900 you got that right

  • @Arthur900 I know what you mean, it's not because he was Luke's father who he only just got back only to loose him straight after. It's because it is the death of the greatest and most awesome character in all of Star Wars, the Dark lord himself. Plus it's also because they are burning an AWESOME suit of armour :P

  • @Arthur900 Some girls cry to this and some cry to Titanic

  • @Arthur900 I cried to this too, and I'm a woman. :-)

  • @Arthur900 I'm a woman, and I've cried to this. I think Vader's redemption and death is one of the most heartbreaking scenes ever filmed. I've cherished these movies ever since I was a little girl, whereas I hated Titanic and thought it was boring and overrated. Star Wars fans come in all ages, races and genders--please don't generalize!

  • @rockisheaven you can thank all that to George Lucas

  • so sad.... :'(

  • beautiful

  • What the hell? he calls himself a light jedi yet hes watching someone burn especially his own father....wow....someones lying obviously.... no remorse either, only fireworks....

  • @Haknish He watches him burn because it is a funeral. A funeral that nobody else would have given him. It isn't an act of hatred or evil, but an act of honor and respect.

  • @GuitarDudeC Oh ok I see, thanks for showing me the truth

  • @Haknish You're very welcome.

  • @Haknish That's because a funeral pyre is a symbol of honor and respect from the Greek tradition, not some form of mutilation to a body etc. Go to fucking school. Actually don't. Just stay away from the education system.

  • @warrennesteruk1 dude u sound so weak and stupid this isnt greek tradition BECAUSE IT IS IN A DIFFERENT GALAXY AND DIFFERENT TRADITION SO GTH FUCKER!

  • @warrennesteruk1 Actaully Lucas got his from the Noris(not Norris as in Jedi Master Chuck) tradition not GREEK......

  • Why did Luke put Vader's mask and helmet back on for the funeral? Never understood that.

  • Luke: Find this familiar?

    Vader: Damn you.

  • just... awesome.

  • best star wars music ever

  • I don't care what anyone says...I love the Return of the Jedi, and I think it's a brillaint way to the seires!

Now, about the beginning of the saga...

  • My best friend just committed suicide a few hours ago. He was more of a star wars enthusiast then I could have ever been. This videos for him..

  • one of the most emotive scenes in cinema history.

  • isnt he burned enough already .....

  • he got burned twice the irony

  • this scene & song is truly immortal

  • This is what I would like my funeral to look like. My son and or daughter lighting my deathbed with fire with my body on it in some peaceful forest of in a galaxy far far away while playing some amazingly peaceful music. But I don't want to rush into that yet, but that's what I expect. :)

  • I loved this part...it made me cry so much. I love star wars...<3 I never rly found vader bad. Anakin was just confushed D:

  • A Life Redeemed is what the music is called.

  • The person who disliked was Vader in the force, he would HATE to see his own funeral

  • Correction *** Anakin`s Funeral

  • Aww this makes me cry :(

  • I think the mask should have been left off for this. He was no longer Darth Vadar when he died, he was Anakin Skywalker.

  • Quigon's funeral, Padme's funeral, Darth Vader's funeral:

All funerals in Star Wars are sad! Hell, Yoda didn't even need a funeral for it to be sad

    Star Wars is amazing!

  • See?...this IS exactly what I wan't MY funeral to go like, in a forest, a small, private function, burned on a bonfire by my Son (I don't have a son, so my nephews will have to do, no matter, they ARE both strong with the Force), after they've done me over in some type of sword fight.

  • Only one person there, what fuck.

  • Had to comment, my father was the french horn player you hear. Terry Johns, I'm Dylan Johns. As you can probably tell i'm quite proud!

  • in his entire live he has had 2 apprentice asoka tano in the clone wars and starkiller or galen marek in the force unleashed

  • Love how the helmet doesn't burn!

  • this is a touching and solemn that captures the symbolic significance of fire in accordance to Vader's life. It is by fiery lava with which Darth Vader was born and it was with fire that Darth Vader is put to rest. This fire represents the cycle of life and death, and the final completion of the balance of the Force

  • You can see the emotion of this scene. No words, only son remembering the father he never knew. This scene is a master piece of cinema.

  • This title is wrong. This isn't Darth Vader's funeral, it's Anakin's. Darth Vader was a monster who killed innocent people and slaughtered all but a few of the jedi. Anakin was a hero who sacraficed all he had for others. Anakin is honored by this funeral, not Darth Vader.

  • fuuny...its lukes song too.

  • This is awesome cause it mirrors the scene where Luke comes to see that his Aunt and Uncle have been killed by Stormtroopers and says "I have nothing left here now". When he get's to know his father and not Darth for the brief amount of time, there is an emotion felt through Luke. These bittersweet goodbyes are so meaningful.

  • In the flames that marked the death of Anakin Skywalker and burned his body, Darth Vader was born. It is in those same flames that Darth Vader died and Anakin was reborn.

  • Anakin's death and funeral really made me cry.. and i'm a man..

  • Comment removed

  • All that burning plastic is bad for your lungs x.x

  • i guess its fair to say that the whole saga is about anakin

  • Nice metaphor for the prequels, eh?

  • Comment removed

  • It's Anakin Skywalker's funeral, not Darth's. He died as a Jedi once again.

  • Luke is so composed; I'd be like THATS MY DAD ;__;

I guess being a Jedi, he's much more hardcore than most :P

  • i hate vader, i hate anaking. bu damn this... i always cry when i watch this

  • What is the music for this called?

  • @sushiking1223 binary sunset/the force theme

  • He don't die, he is with the Force now.

  • :'(

  • I always loved Anakin as a person, But my friend hates Vader because of all he did. But she (and I) cried during this.

  • It was 1997 I was 3 and I think I cried.

  • Fuck George Lucas.

  • This really got to me when I first saw it; the whole universe celebrates, one man mourns.

  • Best Jedi Ever

  • ok when i saw this sene i cryed even though i did not see 1 2 and 3 before i seen this

so yeah i was on the dark side of the force but after i knew that was luke's father i cryed

    harder

  • This is how I want my funeral to be. No coffin. No cremation. Only a funeral pyre.

  • Comment removed

  • @bloodmaker181 This song always makes me cry now everytime I listen to it....gives me the most goose-bumps I've ever really had in a short time-span

  • @ddrgeek1987 yh but ur not a dude!(i think)

  • @bloodmaker181 yeah i'm a dude but i'm not gay.....just cause you like a certain piece of classical music doesn't mean you're a certain gender necessarily

  • @ddrgeek1987 ok

  • @bloodmaker181 Hell yeah, I'm 20 but I also am about to cry when i see that scene...

  • Rest in peace Anakin.

  • also known as A Life Redeemed, Binary Sunset, & Light Of The Force

  • Comment removed

  • now he has bin on fire for 2 times

  • Come on baby, light my pyre.

  • Why the hell did Luke put the mask back on?

  • I know and another thing is why the hell did he have to burn anakins body even more cudnt he have just buried him like any normal person would have he would still have become one with the force after death and another thing that dosent make sence is where the hell was qui gon while all this was going on lucas didnt realise sum things wudnt make sence if he went back and told them before he already made them.

  • @charlieiscool1000 Being cremated, even IRL, is considered an honor by many cultures. Knights that had died gloriously in battle would be cremated, which goes along with the saying, "Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. From dust we came, and to the dust we shall return." Remember Qui-Gon's funeral on Naboo? He was also cremated. It's a ceremony that the Jedi partake in, as well as real life people do. It's symbolizing our return to nature/The Force, leaving behind the material world and it's troubles.

  • @charlieiscool1000 Qui-Gonn was long dead before this event, what are you talking about?

  • The Choosen One, may he Rest in Peace!

  • WE LOVE YOU, LORD VADER!!! MAY YOU REST IN PEACE!!! <:'(

  • theres no way im the only nerd that teared up a bit at this scene

  • Poor Luke. I always wondered what he was thinking in this scene. Maybe 'what could have been'. What a journey. Farm boy to Jedi. Redeemed his father. Saved the universe. Thanks for posting.

  • This scene was always the saddest for me. It makes up for the debauchery that was the Ewoks.

  • The Force is strong with 231 people

  • Palpatine disliked this. Worse for him.

  • @Adfoz42 I was thinking the same thing, what an amazing s
