  • Came here for Albert Nicholas... Was wowed by Coleman... Surprised to find George Shearing on piano!

  • Thank you for putting this on. One of the very first jazz records I owned (in 1957!) was a 45rpm EP microgroove disc with four tracks by Albert Nicholas. I've tended to neglect him in the meantime and it's great to be reminded of his unique and personal style. Of course, neither he nor Bill Coleman are very high in the jazz critics' pantheon of stars, so this video is timely. They are indeed two masters!

  • Two great musicians with a nice rhythm, prob. early 60s. Thanks!

  • Two masters: the great Bill Coleman on trumpet, Albert Nicholas, the great New orleans creole clarinetist.

This must have been in the 60's.
