  • Just stumbled on your vid. Great question. I think things are starting to unravel more quickly. The financial system hasn't been fixed. But in any crisis, there will be people who can make money. On prep: basic survival supplies should be kept by all - if only for weather or other emergencies. I had a lot of peace of mind going through the 9.0 quake here, but it was heart-breaking to see pregnant women being turned away at the super market because there was no rice - and they had NONE at home.

  • It seems pretty obvious that our present ways are not sustainable. We would have to keep doubling the population in order to pay our debts. How long can we do that before there is no more room or resources? Something has to give but I don't know what that something is.

  • Seaseme street says be prepared. Haven't you been paying attention? Stock up, and prepare to "get away" from the sheeple. Food, shelter, WATER, guns and ammo. The majority will stare into the light until it's too late. Use that to your advantage.

When? It will occur suddenly, and probably with a false flag, such as a pandemic. Check out the case against W.H.O. and the corporations prepared for a pandemic. How about "cap in trade". Another bill slammed down congress w/no reading. MJ=convenient.

  • I think USA will lose its position of a super power and I think it will be much poorer than it is right now. People will lose their jobs and houses even more than during the Great Depression. That's in a nutshell what I believe.

  • Now, I'm not an American, and my country's (Sweden) position is more unclear to me. I have no idea how the economic crisis of USA will effect Europe as a whole and Sweden in particular. Our interest rates are very low (0.25) so inflation will hit us, that's for sure.

I hope people world wide will wake up to the fact that our economies rely on perpetual accelerating growth. And then, realizing that the sky is NOT the limit, will hopefully get people to demand a different monetary system.

  • @bjorinn - Similar situation here in Japan. There is a global currency crisis. We are already seeing the free market shifting from fiat currencies to gold and silver. Some large institutions are moving that way. The Japanese gov recently moved a large chunk of their pension fund to gold.

  • my bettter off relatives won't let me grow veggies on their property, they see , rightly perhaps, welfare as a major evil, but I think food stamps as minimalist welfare are important, I don't mind living in tents.

  • I think it be real. I am planting crops on side of road and in vacant fields and trying to convince my better off relatives to allow me to grow veggies on their property so far to no avail.

  • Look, what we are experiencing is the beginning stage of 'peak oil'. All economic/political systems will be unable to cope with the ramifications of a declining energy base. To believe that some sort of meritocracy based poli / econ system will somehow 'fix' things is not realistic. This isn't a socio problem it is a very large engineering problem. We have become too symbiotic with machines that will soon run out of food (energy).

  • I think it is going to get as bad as Schiff, Celente, Rogers and Beck say. I don't know if is gonna be this year or 5 years. The problem is HUGE. It is spread out over Economics, Schools, Politics, Philosophy, Socialism, Statism, Marx, Saul Alinsky, The Fed, Geithner, Bernanke, Environmentalism.....it goes on and on and is all intertwined and it's all bad. I've read enough to know that this is NOT an accident, it's a movement towards ?ism. I think it's a mix of every ism out there. FREEDOM!

  • I am fairly new to You Tube. Most of the information we see here I have seen other places. One source talked about this many years ago - I used to listen to William Cooper on short wave radio and he had information from when he was in Navy Intelligence, which is why he left. He was totally disillusioned. He said something truly huge and major is coming, and he died because he insisted on getting the word out. You can find videos of him here in You Tube. I am not sure what we can do!

  • thanks and yes big disruptions! What to do? plant food, buy extra food, silver. Trust in supplies, pray

  • These times are just the catalyst for a major revolution. Too long has mankind been dependent upon public utility grids and internal combustion. Regardless of how much pain we feel in the short term we (mankind) will emerge much stronger. Population control needs to be addressed as well. Planet Earth has reached its capacity. We need to find a way for our economy to grow that is not dependent upon more people on the planet...obviously this is shot sighted and can be sustained forever.

  • BTW WELCOME! And as Art Bell said, this Awakening has been going on for decades. No tin foil hat needed!

Remember the 60's! People were awaken, but they got too stoned, and fell asleep watching TV and listening to music.

Unfortunately, if the markets stay turned around, they will keep telling us sheep the economy is good+ so suckers put their savings back in- as they lead us to slaughter.

I'm happy now, live debt free and raise a good family. But it's not looking good in America! God Bless!

  • I remember how I felt the first time I realized Art Bells Guests were right. They had predicted a new york city attack with buildings collapsing, Sky on Fire + financial meltdown. I worried about this for YEARS.

On sept 11, 2001 my wife woke me up and said that terrorists had hijacked planes and flew them into buildings. I said "wow they were right"

About a year ago I got out of the markets Peter Schiff was right.

Now my dad says Revelations is unfolding. End Times!

    Awakening SUCKS! -Ski4EVR

  • I've been watching things unfold for years. It's been scary. It's one thing to see it. It's quite another to be forewarned and then see it. It was William Cooper who someone pointed out to me. I listened, I learned, and I have been watching what he said would come true come true. Not sure if it's End Times. It IS NWO, and that I am pretty sure of.

  • Just take a look at Obama's agenda if you really want to know what the future holds, because the way I see it, what Obama wants, Obama gets!

  • They will take this country apart a piece at a time. They are like rust, by the time you see it, its to late. All they really need to do is control us for about 20 more years. Then just about all the free thinking generation will be returned to the earth or to old to effect a diiference. Its a waiting game that they will win.

We were a Republic, Democracy and now a Oligarchy. Anrachy should follow next. The big question is will it ?

I hope for the best, but expect the worst.

  • The collapse of the world economy is by design. The plan is to have the world at each other's throats, via financial Armageddon, starvation, disease and war. Once a couple of billion people cease to exist, a new order will arise. A single government, installed, beg by a battered civilization, in a world where martial law has longed been prevalent, to never be removed in the name of order, the New World Order.

    The Obama Deception

  • u will notice economic collapse because it will be a big bang. here are example of the big bang collapses:

iceland bankrupt - in october 2008.

U.S. had only 5 investment banks and they all gone in just one year, in 2008. they survived the Great Depression.

the world GDP/wealth cut in half in just 6 months.

the world trades cut in half in just 6 months.

saving rate in europe and usa went to practically 0%. that never happened before.

umemployment rate all time high within a year.

    damn quick!!!

  • there are 2 types of people

Good people know it is they who has to protect themselves and there famaly. it is up to no one elese.. the other sad bunch do not do anything.. and beleve that it is there god given right sombody has to help them and come to there aid... these Sad people you should avoid at all cost..

  • a warning about networking.. its ok to explain and try to make a plan and get people on bord BUT do not tell them exactley what you are doing and everything you got.. had a buddy made a storm shelter in the back yard, told people what he was doing and why.tryed to help to show an example.. most laughf at him.. when he had to use the damm shelter. the town was at his door wanting to get in ,he could not help anybody elese.. after the storm he had to move since the town hated him for not helping

  • Good Warning.

When TSHTF then people will get crazy and unreasonable.

Only network with those that you can trust your life with. If your best buddy is not awake and aware then pray and prepare for their awakening and then move on to network with another friend that is on the same page with you.

"A three fold cord is not easily broken."

  • yes "A three fold cord is not easily broken".

to network with famaly no problem, i personly trust and keep a small amount of doubt in everybody. in this way you may see early signs of bad to come, so you may fix things quick before they are a problem..

  • are you ready for the second revolutionary war? are you ready to see hundreds of government/banking/corporate traitors brought to justice? we are being raped by those in power. We must resist and fight back just as a woman would if being raped, not by politely asking our attacker to please stop.

  • We need to get people informed and get people to understand how the world works. Most people are so ignorant of the world around them and the people running their lives. Once people are informed do we then proceed on getting out of this mess. Helping your self and your family is a given. The masses though need to be woken up. One person can only fight. The world could shape its destiny.

If you haven't already watched this video, please just copy this in your browser.

Explosive Video Reich, Obamas economic advisor no "White Male Construction Workers"

At the end of this absurdity, they call a discussion. It's clearly stated what they think of the middle class. Especially the white, middle class & how they are, what I would consider, "scheming" to undermine us as we go about our daily struggles of life.

I for one would like an audience with these two idiots!

  • I believe an economic depression is only one symptom of the illness of the suburban lifestyle social model.. If we are honest we can see that the world is going to war more each day. I really believe something major of biblical proportion is underway.

I moved my family to the hills of Northeast Vermont in 1999 where we have some control over our basic life resources. We aren't naive enough to think this move will protect us from the onslaught. We must try to be prepared for the awakening.

  • I agree, we cannot stick our heads in the sand and ignore what is coming down the pipeline.

Some people want to know "when" and "how soon?"

Others like myself just want to get ready and "Be Prepared" even if it is a proverbial frog in the pot situation.

I really admire the forsight you and others have in becoming self-sufficient.

I think the next best thing to do is networking + preparing.

  • the last great depression lasted 10 years!!!.. i love the idea to be self sufficent, for it is very hard since the GOV makes it really hard..but quite possible.. if you think start growing a garden will be your end all problem solveing, i really hope you have lot of pratice of it, all it takes is one bad crop a pest problem and your out of busness.. you should try it this spring and see how you do when you dont really need it so you can have a better plan a tryed and tested one by you

  • I think we should grow our own food of what we use everyday: Tomatoes, Garlic, Onions, Cabbages and Lettuce if you can, Fruit trees of every possible kind, Potatoes(easy), Cactus(Mexican edible) and its fruit (Tunas), Marihuana(Medicinal Purposes).

Start a new type of society where you work for others and others work for you.

Find smart people and start working on free energy.

Find a way to keep internet connections going.

These are just some suggestions that I can come up with right now.

  • 1. Will it happen? Yes it will happen.

    2. When will it happen? It's happening now.

    3. What can be done about it? a. Save money (ie gold/silver, food, water, and other perishables that disappear in a depression) b. Run for political office. c. Become more politically active period. d. Move to the country. e. Grow your own food. f. etc, etc, etc.......

  • Ask this question: How do responsible homeowners feel about helping those who are not responsible, not necessary to take all this time to never get to the punchline! Something massive is underway! Conservatives fight!!

  • "What are you doing about it?"

    1. Writing "nasty-grams" to my elected officials, almost weekly.

    2. Stockpiling non-perishable food.

    3. We now have two guns and ammo...and I'm a "prissy suburbinite" who is afraid of guns.

Is there something else I should be doing? I'm open for suggestions at this point.

  • Grow your own food and find a way to create free energy, its all over YouTube

  • already started! I just put three fuit trees on my property and my children and I are starting a "victory garden" soon.

    God bless!

  • That is really great, can you imagine if everyone in the states grew any kind of food, we would have a surplus!!

  • network like crazy!

ask your neighbors what they think about the economy and what are their thoughts about a community garden.

  • Funny you should say that. We live in a"golf course community". I figure if things get bad enough, we plow it under and plant corn!

  • good idea!

  • @3monkeysmomma - Good start. Now start buying silver and gold. Other nonfood items that disappear quickly in emergencies are useful too.

  • It''s going to take all of us angry about Obama....to get our voices to be heard....by the government. God would NEVER bless this man......Obama is a lesson to all of us...I think that we can change and God could grant a blessing...however, Obama will be used to renew the unbelievers faith. We are a nation of sin...we need to repent. It will take our unity to get Obama removed from office. He brings division. It will take our faith in God and prayers to be heard.

  • We do not know, like the bible says be awake! It will be like a thief in the night.! Yes it is info , entertainment, and perhaps a chance to be prepared, as we always should have been! There is nothing wrong with being prepared as my parents were who lived through depression and WW2, but sometimes I think, maybe I am paranoid and nothing will happen and then well, everyone will think I am as crazy as I always was!

  • Kapuskasing Ontario 100 acres. Could farm, grow a garden & raise livestock. Hunting & fishing plus a trap line that has been in the family since the last depression. My housing expense is $800 a month in the coldest month. My children will be warm and we live next to the high school & library. I am graduating from college & should be able to find something soon. I am physically fit & I play the guitar & sing. I have my family all around me. I have my family & friends and I am 45 & single.

  • Already had it. my husband lost 130,000 a year job and my business is 70% down in sales. We are about ready to become homeless with an 18 month old and 17 year old sons. We are fearful, angry, and desperate. Our government cares only for lining their pocketbooks at the expense of our financial prosperity.

  • there you have it wise intelligent awakensafely. Sorry don't know your "real" name. If you have any questions you should ask it on my videos. I have more going up on the matter and I will ask you to look into it more. This is not a "forced" system, simply an option which can all neccessities to be free, and still must work, in what you like, that is helpfull that is. Helpfull to our progression. I am Lucky to have the lifestyle I do, but I realize there are many others that don't have the same.

  • deserve better lifestyles, and our progression is leading more to the awareness and understanding of what Arcology's can provide. It will cause a damper on many big profitting business, however in result, it will let no one fall in between the cracks. It is even more usefull in places of the world that are suffering even more. To provide them self-sustainability. This is the best answer I can give to your question. This will drastically help reduce pollutants in our air...

  • We are waiting for that equality right to the individual, moreover fairness. This is just common sense to people who become more knowledgable to act upon good morals. Abled People know what feels good and what doesn't. The way the economy is heading does not feel right to majority. This all falls down to the lack of equality and money. Yes it will be bad and will increase in corruption, even if the gas prices drop, means nothing. This is common sense. Many people need and...

  • Stop believing. Stop it now. Numbers don't lie. (some people stating them do) Deflation is halfway though...the slingshot is ready to be released.

    Deal with it.

  • Someday a collapse will happen...the conundrum is what kind of collapse it will be (economic, political, environmental? or a combination of any two or all three?) and, as you posed, when. It is best to be prepared and come up with some concrete examples of future events where you can say, "OK, we just crossed the line from order to chaos." Then you can go from there. Survival gear would be a prudent investment. Find a safe place to go and who you would go to or bring with you. Choose wisely.

  • Oh I think it is going to happen and it is happening right now. Web bot predictions, google it, says the economy will deteriorate beginning at the ending of March and it will just get really bad around July - August. With my limited budget I'm buying survival gear and dehydrated food. Also bought non-hybrid garden vegetable seeds. Once the economy collapses, food will be really hard to buy.

  • How does jolly well fucked sound?

  • Something bad will have to happen because the US has been living on credit, and the people in power have been lying and covering up the problem for years. People with high levels of education and some wealth will be alright but I'm afraid that most people are really going to find their lives turned upside down...

  • Yup, I hear that. My father's been out of work for two years and my mom has the shingles and has to work. I have a feeling they'll be moving in with my wife and I soon. Oh ya, I'm only 26! I think it will be fine as I want to have family around anyways. I never thought I'd ever become a Mexican!!!!!! Maybe I could cram 40 of my friends into my 700 sqft apartment? If they can do it, we can do it!!!!!! Whoooo hoooooo!!!!!!

  • It does seem surreal as the wheel of time rolls slowly and processes unfold. I look back and compare whats going on around me now as compared to about 5 years ago when I woke up big time and it looks like a lot has occurred. I think it will happen. The financial system and the whole era of the mega corp as predator needs to end, but that doesn't mean we can't just start getting rid of the corrupt and get some real men and women at the top for a smoother ride to a new reality.

  • I do think it's real and is going to get worse - not just because my personal situation. The fundamentals of our economy have broken down. We can't just reverse the trend when it is not a trend. We have too much debt to overcome, there is way to much instabilty in the world and we are creating the basis for hyper-inflation. We are arrogant; we just don't feel it could happen to us. What are we waiting for? We simply don't know what to do - so we prepare for what we THINK is coming.

  • I think allthough it will get worse for a few years.

We will spring back, and life will go on.

We will still be contrrolled by the banks, and governements, just because any which way you look at it, they have the greater firepower.

I mean 146.000 military at the moment still controll Irak. and that in a country where they are allready used to war, tyrrani, torture.

For the governements in the west, it will be a piece of cake to controll us, in comparisson to that.

  • It will be worse than everyone expects. One of the big problems is that the west employs a vast quantity of unproductive people in government. This tax burden on the public will become greater as more people get laid off.

I agree with Gerald Celente (watch?v=92tyl47WdVo) predictions that a tax revolt will be the first public response. In US things will start getting real bad in late 2009, Australia 6-12 months latter. I'm trying move to the country with the aim of living off the land.

  • hyperinflation, extreme unemployment, riots, starvation, chaos, murder and so on. no its not getting bad, some people will survive in the US

  • The 'shift' is coming soon, the economic condition in this country is not just "something that happened", it was a designed collapse.

The sheep of this country will be looking to the government for protection and security and they will be herded into the new world order. It's happening now.

I hear we are a tough country and will endure. I don't believe it.

  • I have faith in mankind but only trust in God. When I say God, I mean the Power that is greater than myself, whatever that may be. I must. Too many events are happening now...quickly. Events have different levels of effect so I can't say what tomorrow will bring. 911 for example, that changed the World. A large event. So many revelations are coming forward into view now that the reach of possibility is greater than ever for our time. What was known too a few is now becoming known to the masses.

  • I think there is a kind of real-time global schadenfreude occurring.

There is a a trend in the mainstream media to highlight just how bad things are in OTHER countries.

However - every OTHER countries media says the same thing, and so we are all left thinking - "Oh well, at least we're not as bad off as [insert countryname here]"

  • You have your socialist President in place now. Once your economy implodes there will be a socialist mechanism for the future welfare of your peoples, things will gently wind down for the next year to two to give you all a chance to come to terms with the new realisation.

Rebellion is a possibility but for why? In the end America can start to rebuild itself back to a functioning entity where you will be welcomed back into world order.

You just pushed it too far this time.

  • I'm from canada and I honestly don't know how things are going to be for canada, but as far as america goes, i really believe there's gonna be a complete collapse of the dollar the way things are going with more and more bailouts. And there might just be a real revolution among the people when their basic survival is threatened

  • I expect some significant shift, similar to past deep recessions like 1873 and 1911. The issue seems to be whether the United States is pursuing the "Japanese monetarism" where prices become delusions for many years and nobody buys or if at some point down the road the fed tightens the belt sharply (5-10%) interest and we get a slow growth while accepting some of the bad assets detonating a little later.

I don't think we know yet what the real changes are because the cards keep changing.

  • The forest will burn, it must. The seeds waiting in the ground will grow into the flowers of a new spring. A great cleansing must take place. Virtually every tradition is in accord on this.

The fundamental challenge is not the physical. This test is about humility and cooperation on a personal level. Survival its self will require putting aside all the arguments and disagreements of thousands of years of religions and ideologies and simply see truth.

  • It is high time for the general population and socio-political players to get ready to face very hard times during which whole segments of our societies will be modified (4), temporarily disappear or even permanently vanish. For instance, the breakdown of the global monetary system we anticipated for summer 2009 will indeed entail the collapse of the US dollar (and all USD-denominated assets).

msg me for the website that details this...url too long.

Prepare for the worse...hope for the best.

  • Yes, IMO we are headed for a major shift; it quite possibly started back in 2006. We are experiencing an acceleration of consequences now, I expect a slow deterioration unless some kind of "Archduke event" kicks off some real insane reaction. I am an ex-Alaskan and a small farmer, therefore have practiced the survival lifestyle on a day-to-day basis for years. My concern is for those who don't know how to grow and store their own food, and don't even know where hamburger really comes from.

  • contd...the dollar as the world's reserve currency. Our prosperity has been one giant Ponzi scheme and like all frauds, they come to an end and they come to an end HARD. This pyramid scheme we call fiat currencies and easy money (debt) is crashing down all around us. We look at other countries and shake our heads sadly at their misfortune, all the while thinking it could never happen to us. That's hubris and foolish! So, in response to your question. Yes I do think, it's really going to happen.

  • Great video. I'm not inclined to be a dooms-dayer. But I do believe what my eyes and logic tell me. I see the numbers, The unemployment numbers are horrendous. I watch the DOW crumble daily, I watch the price of gold rise (gold tells the truth against Fiat lies). I watch governments collapse (Lativa, Iceland and soon to be Mexico). And I know that the feelings of entitlement that American's have are unjust, unfounded and illusory. There is nothing that guarantees stability here except(contd)...

  • One would have to abandon all common sense, basic economics, and basic arithmetic to conclude that the level of debt and spending will not result in collapse of the currency. Even the advocates acknowledge this is an experiment, at best. It is best to think in probabilities: a near certainty of a significant disruption; a very high probability of a major disruption; and a non-negligible probability of a return to feudalism. Stocking up on food, propane, liquid fuels, wood, paper products etc

  • this is the kind of relatively detached, analytical approach I appreciate in times of great emotion (read that: PANIC). thank you! hope you've subscribed/friended. love to hear more from you

  • mmmm. Well all the heavyweight forecasters are telling us that it is going to happen. However the media have a terrible habit of hyping everything to the max and whipping us into a frenzy. There is a very real chance of hyper inflation, and the states are broke to the tune of Trillions of dollars. also, you guys don't manufacture anything. To honest I really do not know, however, I am preparing for the worst case senairo. I dont know if there will be riots in the streets, but there will be pain.

  • that's a very solid assessment and fair to boot. thank you

  • I did ask myself the question you posed, and I decided that I really don't believe that we are on the brink of a cataclysmic global collapse.

I decided that if I really believed the doom scenarios, I would move to Alaska. I never moved.

I'm still living my life, and nothing around me has changed more or less than at any other point in the last decade. I suspect that nothing will seriously change over the next decade.

I do stay more informed on financial news now than I used to.

  • I'll put a question to you Jacob. Ever wonder why in a Huge Galaxy in huge Universe we have not picked up any signals from other civilizations?

One possible reason that it may seem that we have the Universe to ourselves is that other civilizations have come to the point we have come to. It is possible that once these civilizations have the power to destroy themselves they do because of a lack of wisdom.

I think we are at a fork in the road, probaly the most dangerous time in Human history.

  • sure, I've wondered. The answer (and the conversation around it) kind of falls outside the scope of my channel's purpose, but it's interesting to ponder. thanks for posting. I'll think about this and maybe answer privately.

    ciao

    Awakensafely

  • @valhala56 Ancient Astronauts, we have had many contacts with FAR more advanced lifeforms in the past and probably till the present day.

  • Me, I believe a major disruption is not far away, no one can know the future. But, natural laws cannot be changed ie: mass times velocity = force. Preparing now, storing dry food, survival gear, it's going to be that bad.

  • Since the passing of Leaman Brothers the stock broker syndrome is done for, it will never be believed to be the way forward again, so let the goverments own the banks, the real eatate mortages can be given by banks, there will be work for all the workers from the banks, low interest loans for business development, goverment loans to buy cars, as the the rest of em , sod em, let em go to the wall, they did it to us ! they will soon get tired sat in sun.

  • Anything could happen. if there are high powers controlling this world, then this will be the best time to take it(control). but anything could happen. I'm not a profit but, at this point in life and we look back at history, we can see a pattern.

for what I'm going to do(to stop it)? run away from bad riot areas and stay with people who R also awake. to stop it.? we might have to have super powers cus, the powers that lead this world have super powers. if they are able to pull all this off.

  • It's probably going to be a gradual slip into the abyss. Maybe not a drastic shift overnight, but a bit-by-bit change.

  • 2) I live, by choice, in an area of the US with low crime, lots of water, and where people still help each other in a crisis. I have had discussions with co-workers and a few like-minded neighbors regarding a possible break-down of the local food/water/transportation supplies and we have all began to stock up non-perishables as well as figure out what skills we have to help each other. I think it will be a moderate or slow descent in most areas, with large cities possible being the exception.

  • I I believe we are in the beginning stages of the Great Depression 2. We have become a very apathetic , selfish nation. I dont see that changing too much in the near future as the only reason the public began to pay attention to the economy was when it began to inflict some personal pain. I think riots are *ALWAYS* a possibility in large metro areas ( I witnessed them as a child in Detroit) as we have seen throughout US history whenever people are angry and/or hungry.

  • There could be riots, possibly uprisings if the banks close. If people lose their homes and basically everything, they will be hungry. Nothing spells more trouble than thousands or hundreds of thousands of hungry people.

What to do? Be informed, think ahead, and try to imagine what you would need without electricity and fresh water. Plan for the worst and hopefully be pleasantly surprised.

    When? 9 to 12 months....

  • Of course, everything is much more involved than a couple of paragraphs can capture, but to sum it up, I really feel that we are heading down a long tough road, worse than most want to believe, and the best investment people can make would be to secure a roof over their heads and make sure they have plenty of food/supplies in their pantries. Paper money wont buy you a darn thing when the economy finally breaks down and you and everyone else wont be able to get what you need.

  • Lindsay Williams is another individual who had some pretty interesting insight into the economic situation. He said gas would go down to $50 / barrel when it was over $140 / barrel.

  • All the bailout money in the world isnt going to make me go out and buy a new car if I cant pay my mortgage, lost my job and perhaps some of my savings or investments. I can say much the same about Wall St people w no money to pay bills are not interested in buying stocks.

  • Why put such enormous amounts of money into a failing auto industry. I realize for every job lost, 10 more will have repercussions, however when I read that employees are earning $68 per hour at GM and even during layoffs are receiving $43 per hour to stay home, I have to question WHY and scratch my head.

  • I was born and raised in Detroit Michigan and still have family there. GM does NOT pay it's workers "$68 dollars and hour", in fact, workers haev taken huge pay cuts. The essence of the problem is that no US factory worker can compete with workers who will take 25 cents an hour in wages. Union workers fought together for living wages, non-union workers did not. I'm not saying Unions don't have corruption, however unless we stick together, all of us are doomed.

  • Well I'm from Canada... and I just about fell over when I heard these numbers on the news the other evening. I would still think the U.S. markets pay their employees darn good wages and no doubt if they cut the wage in half it would still be considered decent.

  • You need to take into consideration also the cost of living. Just 200 miles from where I live the cost of living is double or triple what it is here but at the same time they make a lot more.

  • One thing for certain, I do not trust mainstream media the news is what they tell us it is. The somewhat doom and gloom reports we hear are geared to get us on board... meaning, if we dont get on side with this bailout or stimulus package the economy will go bust. Its a scare tactic in my mind. I believe it will go bust anyway; its a matter of them buying a little time.

  • Thank you for posting this intelligent video.

You obviously have concerns about the future as a whole society as well.

As much as I really want to believe that the economy, foreign relations, food supplies and governments will be okay I have some very gut wrenching issues. History does have a way of repeating itself and so much points in this direction.

  • no, thank YOU DianeDi, for writing out in long-form what is on your mind. Let's keep this conversation going. Very good!

  • it might very well be worse than the great depression...they were'nt buried in credit card debt and their mortgages were a smaller percentage of the income. also the nation is buried in record debt, and people cant just get firewood to heat their homes and most people cant grow food. most peeps r only good at growing more debt.

  • Another Super Vid Jacob. Thanks!

Statistically perhaps... "things" or "it" will fall someplace between the extremes of predictions with a few "Black Swans".

I would presume 'I' and everyone else everyplace will respond relative to their particular time, place, space, being, and limitations. No one really knows and cannot know what "IT" is or will be until "IT" shows IT's-self to each individual. Meanwhile - it's essentially imaginative fears, speculations, and levels of panic responses.

  • For myself, I'm long embedded - home, personal business, etc. I'll do as best I can but when experientially prompted but don't forsee great changes in my daily routines otherwise. Problem I think I see for myself and apparently others is we really don't know what "IT" is or will be until "IT" shows up at our own doorstep.

I'm not stocking guns and amo - yet. :)

Though if I lived in DC rather than a fairly rural area of WV - perhaps I would think otherwise. :)

  • I hold some comfort in thinking people will continue to be people basically simply wanting to live their lives. Farmers will farm as long as they can. Truckers will truck, nurses will nurse, etc.

There may be much chaos, especially in metro areas, and considerable financial suffering otherwise, but people will do the best they can - helping themselves and others - as best they can - regardless of external circumstances. Through many wars and catastrophes - this has been a common demoninator.

  • Yes it will happen. If this were "just" a depression, then 70% of this country would be OK. However, it is very likely the US dollar will collapse within the next several years thus affecting 100% of the country.

This will cause a disruption of our financial system which will prevent commerce from functioning normally. This means a disruption to the food supply and other necessities.

We need to get an alternate precious metal based currency underway to minimize the coming economic disruption.

  • Why can't I watch this video? It says no longer available

  • I'm not sure......hopefully it corrects itself soon. Maybe YouTube removed it? But, why? I didn't use anything but my own material in it. Hmmmmmmmmm.....

  • It will get worse and worse and at some points critical masses will arise and explode over coming years. Big one for 2009 is Sept/Oct.

  • explain why you believe Sept/Oct is a big one, please?

  • The study of cycles indicates a possibility of a big fall in May and then a bigger fall in Sept/Oct 2009. Time will tell.

  • Good posibility thing's could get as bad as you mention. IF they do people will not be at rest. Right now I think most of us are treading in the water that we are in.

  • I think 90% of the doom and gloom is overblown.

This will be the first "depression" in which so many people are overweight, they have 3 tv's, ipods, xboxs, etc. Basically it's a decline that gets us back in line with incomes....we were living above our means for 20 years, now its back to reality.

Would also reference Jim Rogers...he compares this to the decline of the UK in the early 20th century. That decline took decades. We're too productive to fall into zimbabwe tomorrow.

  • interesting perspective. I think that the doom and gloom is NOT 90% overblown. maybe somewhat overblown (pendulum definitely swings too far on both extremes, of course) but 90% would mean that almost NOTHING of the current crisis is real.

I submit to you that much more than 50% of the stuff that is being reported at the moment is "real" and that in many cases it's actually bigger than we can know.

Just the synthetic CDO's as an example. if we really knew the truth there...shocking!

  • i believe that with 2+trillion dollars printed with nothing to back them your soon gonna see hyperinflation. and since nothing we buy is made in america anymore we're gonna have tp pay double prices for those products. imo there is a plan to crush the dollar so the foriegn banks can force the north american union and the amero thru. remember if we are the nau the constitution gets rewritten and they achieve their goal of total control. we are but ants to the elite.

  • fascinating...hmmm

  • Comment removed

  • I'm worried about a shift and preparing, but if it all comes through, I've got some extra supplies and great camping gear. if it does happen, I hope it's not for another year or more.

  • Wow everyone this is amazing! I absolutely loved it! The video was clear and very interesting! It was awesome! :)

  • make sure to comment rate and subribe because that will somehow help us get out of our money problems and in no way promote his channel...

  • Thoughts? This is nothing new. Economies have gone up and down for thousands of years. This will probably be a rought time for a while. We'll have some challenges as our grandparents did in the Great Depression even for a while. But things always even out afterwards. We'll all be OK, and probably in a few years, we'll have a great boom in prosperity as we did after WWII. It's not as bad as everybody is saying.

  • What solved unemployment roosevelts new deal & socialism or WW2 &capitalism. 1936 was the worst year, 3 years into his term and no results, unemployment rose until WW2. Is that what we need another world war in a time of WMDS. America could have died then if capitalism was reinstated and many of roosevelts programs were dropped did unemployment go down this led to a country of savers who invested thier money leading to the boom after ww2. why can't we trust capitalism?

  • you must not understand the illuminati and their goals. better finf out who is in the council on foriegn relations, the trilateral group, skull and bones, and the federal reserve.....all illuminati.. the fed is private banks run by them. research agenda 21, codex alimentarus, north american union,,,thats the end of our sovereignty

  • I think it is real and going to happen within the next 12 months we will have a MAJOR shift in our way of life and the value of our currency.

  • I'll give it a year. Can you say Titanic?

  • This intentional bankruptcy of all global economies will bring about the "cashless" society in order to usher in the "New World Order" and the electronic tracker called the "Chip". The new stimulus bill will make the dollar not worth the paper it's printed on. Don't accept the chip under ANY circumstances! Get right with God. Help others as much as you possibly can. Pray, pray, pray and be vigilant in Christ!

  • whatch Gerald Celente. He has been right on with everything that is going on. and what will be going on in the near future

  • u have a good point. I think that we are waiting for people to rise first. there always has to be a leader, for the masses to follow

  • this is just starting to happen. when the time comes i think that we will unite althought it will be deadly for some. we are talking months maybe a year tops. i think that this is real, as i see all around me even here in Vermont. I think that families and friends should prepare what they will do if the shit hits the fan. And most of all DO NOT FEAR THIS.............

  • more difficult, most nations & people on earth cook food with cow dung .....if you have no clue how to do that, then your life has ended and a new bad life has begun. You can say that things will get worse slowly and gradually! the main worries are having access to affordable energy, that is what fuels everything and not "money". Think & act local ..... Dollars are not the world ...

  • Hi! AWAKEN SAFELY.

    To your question:

    WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

There is only one answer: AWAKE TO REALITY! THERE IS NO PLACE TO RUN OR HIDE!

THE ONLY WAY IS OUR CREATOR thru YEHSHUA MESSIAH

REPENT, STUDY TORAH, AND OBEY AND DO GOOD.

Start with Psalm 91-- we will need it when we are in SURVIVAL MODE!

Clean your life of pride, and start living simple lives, helping others.

For cinics, read (Exodus 3:14-16): EhYEH

  • I am with you brother and here's another one to add: Psalm 5! the prayer for Guidance... the only true way to face whats coming is to put all your trust in the Lord our GOD and know what our path is ! to have the eyes to see the truth and the ears to hear the word

  • I think we can limp along for awhile as long as the dollar doesn't collapse. Then it hits the fan. Even if a replacement for the dollar emerges, there will be a lapse period where only gold and silver will buy anything, What happens when the grocery store stops taking dollars and plastic? What happens when the welfare checks bounce in all the major cities? Scary indeed! Buy silver coins and hide them! Stock up on basics. Simplify your lives and stay informed.

  • Have you ever met a person who on the outside appears to be financially ok but up to his ears in debt. Ive met a person whos father just died homeless on the street, who not only 10 years ago was a successful business owner, home owner and father. Maybe it was his destroyed ego or the malnutrition that led his body and mind to fail after he lost is business. What I do know for sure is 10 years ago if you told him he would die homeless and crazy on the street, he wouldve laughed at you.

  • No. If we had famine, war on our own soil,or other natural disasters that would physically disrupt our infrastructure, we can have a mad max type scenario. However, if it is just financial / economic collapse ie collapse-of-the-currency-2002-argentina-style, the united states can still run an economy at a bare bones scale. No one would be starving.

#2- when, it will be gradual 5-10 years. It will be like the seventies but a bit worse.

  • I don nott think a collapse will happen anytime soon. It may be a long 10-15 year decline of really hard times. I do not think things will get violent in the USA. We have to many prisons and military. I think the stimulus will slow the decline a littlebit.

Everyone is such a slave to the dollar that it will probly remain stronger then some anticipate. I was down at costco the other day. It looked like they had enough food in their to feed my town for 5 years.

  • I think there will be a collapse! I am stuck on that mindset! I agree with Gerald Celente entirely! The thing is I had already thought this before I really discovered him. Umm I don't think we are far away from the collapse. Within the next two months I think there will be chaos. People not getting tax refunds will not go over too smoothly. Thanks for the post...good thoughts!

  • Debt is money and money is debt. If you get 1 trillion in stimulus and the debt is 1 trillion All the cash you own is now worth 10% less. All the debt you owe is 10% less. Thus if you are far in net debt stimulus is good for you.

If congress stops now, the dollar could be saved. If they solve everything by issuing more debt the dollar will devalue.

I think you could make some money here shorting bonds. Stocks will increase w/ inflation. Hard assets will move with inflation.

  • By the way regarding paying off debt and mortgages.

It was usually the case in countries where inflation took off that salaries were soon payed by the wheelbarrow load.

Well that being the case surely if currencies are about to devalue wouldnt it be better to give the bank back a wheelbarrow full of the devalued stuff ?

Im serious. Pay checks double and treble during hyperinflation,

  • I moved my mutual to money market in August 2007. Just cash them in Jan 5, 2009 to pay off my mortgage on March 1 2009, interest rate are going down but banks charge more.

My mortgage would have gone up from 2 3/4 "Better than prime" to 5%. My investment would need 9% return to equate 5% after tax (NS Canada). So the math was simple.

One mistake I made in my life was to invest while I had a mortgage, the investment firms are unethical and it is here to bite us.

  • I'm not waiting, I'm taking action.

Stocking up on necessities, learning new skill sets for self sufficiency, alerting others around me to begin their own preparations.

This spring I will be networking with local food producers and may try consumer supported agriculture.

Also working with a political action group to work towards insuring local leadership understands and responds appropriately to the coming challenges.

I feel the Federal policies will repeat mistakes of the Great Depression.

  • The era of nation states, financial capitalism & free markets is ending. We are transiting to a global society. Primary objective at this stage of the process is global economic governance; global coordination of central banks. That as foundation for the next stage global political governance. The crisis (planned or not) is opportunity to fast track globalisation.

May be very bad in America if the dollar collapses; food, gas etc; fear + panic + guns = trouble. Martial law & disarmament. FEMA.

  • As long as the munchkins can go to the grocery store and exchange their scrip for food from shelves that are always full, it will end up being a long slow dieing process for this country. As soon as those shelves go empty, or even begin to look a little sparse, all bets are off and you better have your beans, bandaids, and bullets already tucked away and at the ready because the shitstorm she is a coming.

That's when the munchkins start running the guillotine 24/7 in Emerald City..

  • WELL When that something happens EVERYONE WILL JUST FREAKOUT! WE DON"T KNOW WHAT to do ? I FEEL LIKE WE are playing chicken with a trian! I think a couple countries are going to bond together to harm us. Thats what I think.

  • If you look around using your eyes only there is an appearance of normality about it all; SUVs still running, malls still stocked and open. When visible "reality" changes I suspect the fear will come upon us. When 401ks turn to ashes & homes are foreclosed in mass the dream of affluence will end. For those of my generation (b.1951), who have only known the good life of material abundance, the change will be staggering in its implications. Intuition tells me it maybe sudden and swift...

  • yeah, I call the appearance of normalcy the "shiny wrapper". At present, it's pretty much still in place, but rips and tears are appearing....lots of vacancy/"For Lease" signs showing up on commercial space, etc. thanks for posting!

  • I really believe it IS happening. I'm gardening, stocking food, supplies, meds, seeds (open polinating / heirloom varieties) hand tools, permaculture plantings, canning jars, pressure canner, spices/herbs, fishing equipment, cooking & heating equipment. Just for starts. I have to invest gradually as we live paycheck to paycheck like many folks. I believe this is a decade + length event and we may never see a Golden Age lifestyle like we have had in the past. We're going to live simplier!

  • here's what I finally came to, DocsWife... I needed to "go simpler" no matter what. The economic downturn helped shake me awake but whether it all collapses in tiny, razor-edged shards or not...I have decided to downsize & simplify. it's like a huge knapsack of rocks slid off my shoulders! Thanks for posting the specifics of what you're doing. Very good

  • The simple life IS THE GOOD LIFE. It's the trauma to the people around us that have never considered how to live modestly. We've allowed lies in our lives that our grandparents would have called out, & condemned before the sun set! I've never thought much of keeping up with the Jones. I love country living and it isn't really "simple", it's more "natural" & "integrative". It means living in rythymn with your surrloundings and planning ahead and having contingency plans if it doesn't rain!

  • yes, yes, yes! but lots of us DID get caught up and are now trying to unwind that web.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I really respect the simple honesty behind them.

    blessings

    Jacob

  • Your channel name says it all. You're doing a great job Jacob.

(And YUM to your wife on the chicken chili recipe, it is a survival pantry item goody)!

  • It will be good to be able to sit out disruptions and disturbances. We'll be involved in our small Georgia town. My hubby is already well versed in medicine on the cheap, without big expensive medical machines, expensive specialists and sends out to the big hospitals only when someone is really sick. We are also farmers and experts in animal husbandry. I watch a lot of videos about "how to" like cheesemaking and herb gathering/ uses. There's a lot to do, so unemployment is not for slackers!

  • For me & my family in Atlanta, GA this is very real. My wife is a Realtor & I am in the construction business, her business is nonexistent & mine has been cut in half. I am currently selling off all nonperforming assets: home with $300,000. mortgage, Rolex watch, cars, motorcycles anything of value that is nonessential & then role the proceeds into a substantially less older home with no mortgage. We are basically trying to live on as little money as possible, defiantly preparing for the worst.

  • wow...that is such a familiar story here in Boise, Idaho, too... the real estate run-up opened a river of cash for a number of years, but that is down to a trickle now.

  • I'll restate what I stated now nearly one year ago:

-The US average citizen (and higher) is going to cruise through this crisis.

-Unders are going to move outside the US to poorer countries to start a new wave of colonization, crushing the local populations.

All these conspiracy theories stuff are just entertainment like teen ages horror movie, teenagers playing to get scared and these stories are a way of avoiding the reality and the moral choices that are going to arise ("the elite

  • forced me to do what I am doing now, they planned it all etc...)

The new colonization process will be done slowly as the US economic situation will rot slowly, nothing spectacular, no martial law and other silliness told by YT users.

In the end, once again, innocent people are going to pay for the sins of US citizens and it is why conspiracy theories are so convenient.

  • But, we never learn from history. And I think that's the point. Until humans make the attempt to learn from history, things will never get better. They may temporarily, but the end result will always be the same. As long as we always think in dollars and cents, our species will not survive. There is nothing wrong with wealth. There is something wrong with irresponsible wealth. It makes you wonder if really do need to move away from an investor/money based society. I just don't know.

  • It's almost like a fiat based money system can only last for so long before it literally collapses in on itself. Thank you central banking corporation. History shows this. Plus, you have half the world living in poverty. When you have such mass imbalance of wealth, history shows that civilisations do not last. But people try to hope that this one time, history won't repeat itself. If history shows us one thing, it's that it always does repeat itself. But if you learn from it, you can prosper.

  • Now on to the question about what do we do? For the last 10 years, I've been warning people about our ways. I don't think the excessive lifestyles of Americans is sustainable. We have turned our heads to important issues for way too long, and it's coming back to haunt us. I personally think our gov has planned this. They could have slowed or stopped the real estate problem from ever happening, but they didn't. Why not? Was there a purpose behind allowing that bubble to happen?

  • Great question. Show me the math on how we can get out of this without a collapse. We have a 10t debt problem, that increases 3.3b every day. No one has shown me the math on how it's even possible to get out of this hole. Make me believe it's possible. I think guys like Peter Schiff are correct because economics is scientific. Schiff says it himself. He's not looking at a crystal ball. It's science. However, I hope this one time, he's wrong. But math, science, and HISTORY doesn't lie.

  • there is no harm in preparing for the worst.. get out of debt, store food and live more simply.. chances are you will be more happy.

  • I cobbled together some information for you based on one of my videos with additional information from a CD film of the 1950s. Only too six hours. LOL. Hope this add to the discussion.

  • Americans have become to passive to do anything about it on their own.

However, I feel if someone were to head up an organized lead, many would follow. I think most Americans feel the current situation is helpless and simply do not know what they can do to change anything. There is power in numbers but the numbers will not grow if there is no leader.

    Make sense?

  • I think it can go either way. If the dollar crashes then that will create havoc. Something major needs to trigger it.

Otherwise what we're seeing now is a slow downturn in everything. But we're certainly not going to get back to what we've had.

  • The scenario were encountering is a gradual shift from our market economy. There will be no extremes in the market place, to allow us sheep to accept the condition. Once the dependence takes hold and 3 or 4 more patriot acts then were done. Case in point England, the populace is unarmed and Highly monitored on the CCT video. You need to disarm the public. I expect some kind of attack which will expedite this process. Our values have been deeply rooted. They'll lose in the end. USA!!!

  • In general, it will be only the strong that will survive. That's with business & personal. It's going to take strength, conservation, & wit. Everything is downsizing. We will all have to change our mindset to be satisfied and grateful for the basics needed to exist. And for the smarter ones will be new opportunities arising from the ashes. The wealthy elite (powers that be) can't hold onto their wealth forever. They have their spending needs too......

  • It is the natural boom bust cycle. There will be a decline in economic activity in the US and Europe but it won't last too long. Recovery will happen and the world will be as normal. The dollar won't collapse. If that was a possibility it would have already happened. There recession will be deep, but survivable. The doom mongering is really entertainment!!

  • cant see why the eu should rise.

Isnt in as big a soup as the us.

    House loans credit failing banks?

  • This is not entertainment, imo. The US will fall, imo, and the EU will rise. As I have stated, Ireland needs to go along with the lisbon treaty, which it is suspected that they will in October of this year. Elections for the first EU Prez. will probably take place and they're comparing it to our G. Washington! I'm not going to state my specific outlook, step by step(what I see happening), but we are going down, and imo, it is orchestrated. Prepare while you can, spiritually and mentally.

  • Alot of the small businesses in my area of north west london have gone under,i seem to be living in a cctv controlled tesco land, you probably live in walmart land.the big problem is going to be the distribution of food once the total collapse finally arrives.these hypermarts will probably be army and police supervised, thats if the food can be delivered by haulage companies at all if too many people get laid off from work.

  • It will happen, what can we do ? I don't know, most folk are scared of the unknown. You say 'What are we waiting for" well I ask what can we do ?

If you are a wealthy banker or such like, you can go off and live as a recluse I guess . but if like most folk you a living a ordinary existence you will have mortgage \ cars etc and young children , and lose your job. well thats a different story.

The future looks grim, and I look forward to all sensible comments and replies as a guide for survival.
