What kind of editing software do you use? i have vegas movie studio HD platinum 8. or something like that. Whenever i edit my videos (from my GoPro) on full HD it has a jumpy/ choppy playback... Any advice? thanks... Good Video!

@CompletelyDefunct I'm sorry but I have zero experience with that program. I use Final Cut Pro 7. I would suggest trying iMovie, it's simple but very effective.

@punkmonkey61 hey, jamis is a good brand. i ride a specialized and love that too. just be sure you get a bike that matches the style you plan to ride. so if you're interested in the riding like what they do in this video, get a downhill/freeride type bike. there's also cross country, trail, and all-mountain bikes. what changes between these is primarily frame geometry and suspension travel.

@turbozonda Well, if you took the skytrain, it would take you to waterfront station. Take the seabus across then take the lyn valley bus. Ride from Lyn Valley straight up Mountain HWY. Would take you just over a hour and a half.

@turbozonda You have to ride up. Or push your bike if you can't manage the ride. And no, it's Fromme... as I mentioned. There is no "website." Use google maps and search for mtn hwy and Mcnair dr. in north vancouver. If you are driving, mind the parking restrictions in that area. You can't park up that high unless you have a permit, which you can't get unless you live on a restricted parking street. Also, stop by one of the local bike shops and pick up a Fromme map for $5.

@TheDarkie12 Well I would give you a solid answer if I knew my bikes. The mountain bike Darren (the rider) is using is a Rocky Moutain... not sure what model, but he was stoked to have one. Let's throw it out to the public!

@frenzy36 ... yes. That sounded like a funny question.. but I can see how elsewhere there would be some kind of fee to use the trails. We are very fortunate to have a association on the North Shore of like minded people that volunteer there time to maintain and build designated ares of the trails.

Tell him to look for a good deal on a used freeride bike (5-6" of travel) to get started. Some great deals as most pro riders flip their bikes in September-November, some great deals.

If your going to do North Shore riding your going to need dual suspension for sure, but if your going cross country or a mix.. starting with just front suspension might be right up your alley. All depends on your terrain!

@PSiGamerz if your gonna be doing cross country, front suspension only is fine, but 100-200 dollars isnt going to get you a great bike... i started on a trek 4500 about a year ago when i was 13 its a great beginer bike for cross country, and i still use it as a back up.

@PSiGamerz i am 16 and i started when i was about 14... if you want to do that you will need full suspension.. but you cannot even get a good hard tail for £200.. i suggest you go on eBay look around alot, and buy a jump bike, they can handle slight downhill and they are good for jumps... and they wont break.

@PSiGamerz starting on a hardtail will make you a much better rider when you switch to full suspension and it will be a lot cheaper and be a good first bike. Plus you will get a quality hardtail for that much money.

@MCDlegit I'm not so sure. I use a Mac and edit with Final Cut Pro.

I cant see how that would be the case.. as long as you convert the files from GoPro to fit your editing platform it should be the same as a Mac.

@MCDlegit Gopro uses MPEG4, there are windows editors, both free and software you can purchase to edit the mpeg4 format. I think Apple's OS usually already has nice software to do the edits with is the difference.
