@fightfan4eva Yes it's all open to the public!! There is a large group of riders that volunteer their time to upkeep the trail for every one to enjoy.
@PenguinsForAll I edited to version, one is standard def.. this one the other is still FIX YOUR ACCENT.. look on the side bar of this video for the other one:)
What kind of editing software do you use? i have vegas movie studio HD platinum 8. or something like that. Whenever i edit my videos (from my GoPro) on full HD it has a jumpy/ choppy playback... Any advice? thanks... Good Video!
@CompletelyDefunct I'm sorry but I have zero experience with that program. I use Final Cut Pro 7. I would suggest trying iMovie, it's simple but very effective.
@punkmonkey61 hey, jamis is a good brand. i ride a specialized and love that too. just be sure you get a bike that matches the style you plan to ride. so if you're interested in the riding like what they do in this video, get a downhill/freeride type bike. there's also cross country, trail, and all-mountain bikes. what changes between these is primarily frame geometry and suspension travel.
@turbozonda Well, if you took the skytrain, it would take you to waterfront station. Take the seabus across then take the lyn valley bus. Ride from Lyn Valley straight up Mountain HWY. Would take you just over a hour and a half.
@turbozonda lol, well that will make your trip a little more breezy. Thought you were trying to figure out transit... it's very possible, just a little bit of a hassle once you get to the North Shore.
@turbozonda You have to ride up. Or push your bike if you can't manage the ride. And no, it's Fromme... as I mentioned. There is no "website." Use google maps and search for mtn hwy and Mcnair dr. in north vancouver. If you are driving, mind the parking restrictions in that area. You can't park up that high unless you have a permit, which you can't get unless you live on a restricted parking street. Also, stop by one of the local bike shops and pick up a Fromme map for $5.
@TheDarkie12 Well I would give you a solid answer if I knew my bikes. The mountain bike Darren (the rider) is using is a Rocky Moutain... not sure what model, but he was stoked to have one. Let's throw it out to the public!
Who has suggestions?
Also, scroll down on the comments, you will see a few people have made there suggestions.
@frenzy36 ... yes. That sounded like a funny question.. but I can see how elsewhere there would be some kind of fee to use the trails. We are very fortunate to have a association on the North Shore of like minded people that volunteer there time to maintain and build designated ares of the trails.
I know those who do not live in the lower mainland could not give a shit, but it's not "Vancouver's North Shore". It's North Vancouver. Separate city.
LOVE the video. Can you help me with something? Ive been moutnainbiking, kinda intermediate. I have a new model of the Diamondback Sorrento, hardtail. its great, but for more "extreme" ( :D ) riding, can you tell me which bikes to look at? Not like carbon fiber 2000$ bikes, you know. Thanks! Also wouldnt mind if it would be good for jumps. Ive been jumping bikes since I was like 5.
Tell him to look for a good deal on a used freeride bike (5-6" of travel) to get started. Some great deals as most pro riders flip their bikes in September-November, some great deals.
@powerofwillx, you could also check out pinkbike.com in their buy and sell section - there are always tons of bikes listed for great prices. If you want to look up reviews ect. on any given bike or part check out mtbr.com. Hope that helps. Cheers
I'm starting what you guys do and I'm 13 years old and I need ideas of starting or starter bikes like should I get a dual suspension bike or a bike with only front suspension and I'm looking to spend around 100-200 pounds etc? Thanx great video btw xD
If your going to do North Shore riding your going to need dual suspension for sure, but if your going cross country or a mix.. starting with just front suspension might be right up your alley. All depends on your terrain!
@PSiGamerz if your gonna be doing cross country, front suspension only is fine, but 100-200 dollars isnt going to get you a great bike... i started on a trek 4500 about a year ago when i was 13 its a great beginer bike for cross country, and i still use it as a back up.
@PSiGamerz i am 16 and i started when i was about 14... if you want to do that you will need full suspension.. but you cannot even get a good hard tail for £200.. i suggest you go on eBay look around alot, and buy a jump bike, they can handle slight downhill and they are good for jumps... and they wont break.
@PSiGamerz starting on a hardtail will make you a much better rider when you switch to full suspension and it will be a lot cheaper and be a good first bike. Plus you will get a quality hardtail for that much money.
Okay ah few things I have to say one that's so cool like all the riding and stuff also you guys made the whole video awsome like the music is rad and the so is the stunts/tricks
@PointOfViewCameras I use Final cut express, but it really bugs me how i have to render each clip after i put it in the time line, do you know a way or a setting that can make it so i dont have to render?
@MCDlegit Gopro uses MPEG4, there are windows editors, both free and software you can purchase to edit the mpeg4 format. I think Apple's OS usually already has nice software to do the edits with is the difference.
We're working on adding tutorial videos for everything we can think of and we'll add your suggestion to the list. The track is "Tonight" by the Tito Deville Band. Check them out on My Space and iTunes!
@ThePatrickSGh Yeah, i was amazed how effortlessly Darren was able to do it all all the first try. Stay tuned we are finally going to do another video with Darren in the very near future!
@563JD It was the GOPRO helmet cam. It comes with the vented back for better sound and it also comes with the waterproof back. You can strap to just about anything but you may want to get a grab of extra part to expand your options. Just check our website, cheers!
Hey Guys, The song I used on this video is by my friends the Titto Deville Band. You will NOT be able to download it, i'm sorry to say. The producer who worked on this track is tying the boys up in a legal battle over the song. So until that gets sorted this is the only place you will be able to find that song. Sorry guys.
@jeheprotkop - maybe check itunes, I am pretty sure they will be there soon. We don't have access to their music, the guy that compiled this video is friends with the musicians and they gave him rights to use it, so unfortunately until it is available on itunes or their myspace... it isn't going to be easy to get!
