i live right here in halifax. the town clock still reads 9:05 from that horrible day in 1917 AND people had 18 year olds in the war at the time. I feel horrible for them.
The Mont Blanc was supposed to be there the night before but was late so the u-boat nets made it wait until morning. Both ship were supposed to be using a pilot ship but didn't. Carelessness is what caused it and all we learned from it was how to make an atomic more destructive.
Great video. You should have mentioned the snow storm a few days later that devastated the city's makeshift outdoor hospital. Also, how amazing the people of Boston were. They deserve a better christmas tree than us.
Who directs the titanic ?? That's a dumb question but I dunno well he should make a titanic out of this ... That wasn't meant to be a joke I would so watch that
My Grandfather worked as a Stevedore on the docks of Halifax when this explosion happened. He was also there when the Titanic went down. He had many interesting tales of the sea to tell.
@equarg Yeah that's a good idea. i should write about that. My grandfather use to make wooden replicas of some of the boats that came in to the harbour. He put a lot of time and great detail into every ship and sailboat he made. I wish we kept them, but they somehow got lost over the years. I think we still have pictures of them though, now that I think of it.
You know Boston Massachusetts was the first city to sent relief supplies and help to the area. To this very they Halifax sends an X-mas tree every year as thanks to the people of Boston
i just watched another shitty documentary on youtube that used the same song. Is this some sort of trend amongst shite docs?

Sad. This very minute an explosion could happen. How can you know?!?! This time the world is bigger, and thousands more will be killed!
What if a family member was killed!?!
