(SMILE) Madagascar is considered part of the continent Africa .All Islands belong to a country or continent and madagascar happen to be a country on its own and in Africa.We have many Islands in Africa. e.g Cape Verd, Mauritius et.c. They are Africans PERIOD!

The people who came to the island were from South East Asia (Indonesia-Malaysian), Arabs, Indians (from India), Portuguese traders and African slaves. Some of the Africans of the island will be mixed blood. It is not a part of Africa.

@omoibile: Let’s build on your statement. “All islands belong to a country or continent”. This is not quite right and possibly why Palin thought she could see Russia from Alaska. Let’s use the Virgin Islands as an example. Part of the VI is owned by the US and the other is owned by the British. Just because they own it, doesn’t mean it is part of the respective countries. They aren’t American and British citizens.
St. Thomas is owned by the US but they aren't North American citizens.

Are you aware that Cameroon is like Virgin Island in that they have both British and French part. @Tippy2forU :I guess you haven't seen all the people of South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya to realise that the influence of white invaders are there. Many Indians are africans because they were brought there. S,Africa have indians, So is Tanzania et.c. They didn't come of there own free will but the same way our people were dropped off in faraway Islands and shores so were several others dropped off on African soil.
