@GraysonBearden I saw them at church camp in the late 70's and bought an album, even had them all sign it! I have since lost that album. I don't know the name, but it had "Freedom" and "Remember Me" that I can think of right off the top of my head. Any idea the album name and where I can got a copy? Thanks in advance.
@TheMonstersgalore yes I agree...its from "TRANSFORMATION" album (1979) I have been searching for months for a copy of "Remember Me". So many people love this song and can still be blessed from it...lets help each other...andy :0)
Tristanandlsolt, I do have the "Cruse" album - it's actually autographed by all of them after a concert I attended in Rockwall, TX many years ago. I wish I could post the songs, but I only have it on an old record album and don't know of any way to get them online. Any suggestions?
@kimmye8 I don't know how but I have a friend who does. I will get him in contact with you. It would be so awesome to share that music with the world.
Sang at this very church myself with the Acapella Choir of Howard payne University, the Cruse Family's alma mater--I also remember "Harmony"--loved that whole album!!!
I remember seeing them in concert when I was about 9 or 10 years old back in the mid 70's at a church in Palestine, Texas. We had the album that included the song, "Cornerstone," which was my favorite Cruse Family song, the album which has long sinch been lost. I would love to be able to purchase another CD copy if anyone knows where their music from the 70's can still be purchased?
They sang this at my wedding. I loved growing up in the ministry with them. It was such a blessing to have them at my wedding and singing this song to start of our marriage - 20 years ago in August!
I'm glad to hear you all love them as much as I do, I've only recently come to know them, and they are totally awesome! They are going to be in concert Feb. 28, 2010, 7 P.M. at Fellowship Church of Fort Bend in Rosenberg,TX, where Joe Sr. is Pastor. Spread the word, see you there, and God Bless...
I'd seen this awesome group perform somewhere, I can't for the life of me think where it was though. It's awesome getting to see them on here, hearing this powerful song once again.
Wow - what memories that brings back. I saw the Cruse Family sing multiple times back in the late 70's and 80's and have so many of their albums but can't play them anymore because I don't have a turntable. It's great to get to see and hear them again. They were always a blessing. I love watching Cindy at Lakewood now but I remember back when she was just a 16-year-old girl with a mouth full of braces. She's come a long way and God has really blessed her and her ministry.
@kimmye8 Do you have the album simply titled Cruse? I thought that was the best of them all. Mom and Dad were no longer in the band and the Kids were doing some much more modern stuff. If you could post those songs it would be great. Particularly "You are that Man"
I remember them singing this back at Church on the Rock, Rockwall, on several occasions. I remember we had those Family / COTR bumper stickers. That's pretty much what everyone had in mind on that opening line, "we stand here together, as a FAMILY". That's how it seemed anyway. We'd join hands across the auditorium and this song was like an anthem of corporate worship in God's family in that local body.
oh my gosh.. this is wonderful! I watch Cindy now on Lakewood, and I had no idea she had such a background.. I see now how she has honed her art for praising the Lord through song. She is such an inspiration to me and I look up to her.. thank you for having this on here! ~Ej
