Paper-man is chasing around a piece of paper which was "importnt".In the end, it's just paper. Paper doesn't do things; ideas leading to actions do things. Paper itself is almost worthless compared to the ideas. Simply chasing the worthless paper around will just lead you to where everyone else puts paper: the trash.

Some tend to think that if it's on paper that it's legitimate or somehow virtuous. The truth is that no one really cares what that paper has to say. They do what they want anyway.

I think this guy went through so much trouble to get this paper, from the hospital, seems like, that he really tried not to loose it? The environment is really inventive, very smart, and sound is good, too.
