Hi, I'm new to asian products and I would luv to use a some, but sense im black/Africa American I not sure of what I can use. I was wondering if you knew any products I could use.
can you tell us about the products that didnt work for you and caused milia? id love to try hera and ive been eyeing kiehls for a while. but my skin is very prone to milia and oiliness even though it can also get flaky and dry
@iluvpenguins007 So far no products have particularly caused milia on my eyes, but the general rule of thumb is that if it's too heavy (thick/excessively moisturising), milia will appear. In your case, I'd recommend you to search for a water-based eye cream such as Shu Uemura's, Chanel's or even Mac. Get a sample of Kiehls before settling on it just in case your skin reacts to it! x
Great review. Jen you've truly sold me on Hera products - going to invest in some products - prob the eye cream. Hehe i read somewhere that on average asian woman use about 13 different skin care products a day - so you're not to excessive LOL :) Thanks for sharing xX
Do you know where I can find some test of the HERA products? I'am from Europe so if you know where I can find it with low shipping, it would be more than perfect..?
hi Jen. can You tell us about the ones You didn't like? I really like Korean skincare, but I can't read Korean, so I can't read reviews or any of that. My Korean friend let me try her isa knox and sk-cara stuff and it seems to work very well.
hey, did you ever try those shiseido cotton pads? they have a square shape, those are the best cotton pads i've ever used. they're 8 dollars a pack, but i dont know if you can get them in australia. i'm pretty sure you can. i have a question about your skin, do you have acne/breakouts? if so, do you have solutions to it?
@tifawong No I haven't tried Shiseido's! Thanks for letting me know.. if it's $8 overseas it'll probably be $20 or so here lol. I've never had acne all my life but recently I have been getting breakouts. I'll be doing a video on the products I used to prevent and treat my acne problems soon!
i was looking through hera products i was really interested in using the essence but i saw that it was highly recommended to the "white" women only...and so i was confused do you think its okay for any colored woman? isnt based on skin type and not skin color?
Hey jen, thanks so much for your this video! Can you give me your opinions of the korean brand laneige? DO you think its as good as hera? Because I can access it easier here in Cali than Hera :x
@cmannequin If you look through the comments, you can see her comment to someone else about Laneige which is "Laneige is okay, but the brands are in different market positions - Hera is a higher-end brand, so I guess it's not really fair to compare the two brands! :)"
Jen i want to ask if it's possible to buy korean skincare products (such as the hera sunscreen you reviewed in your other video) in australia? i live in sydney too! or even if it is, will the price be way lower in korea?
hi jen, do u have any other good eye creams to recommend other than hera? it's a bit hard to find and a bit expensive. I think i'm getting premature wrinkles cause i'm only 20 plus..i have serious dark circles :(
omg jennifer which uni in sydney do you go to? i go to unsw (electrical engineering). let us know if there could ever be a meetup or anything! anywho, love your videos!
Hey Jen, when I stumbled across your videos I immediately recognised that you went to my high school! Congrats on becoming so big on youtube! In regards with Asian sun care products, do you think they are safe to use in the Aus climate in terms of adequate sun protection and so on? I am asking because they use a different regulatory system with spf, pa++ etc. I love the formulas of Asian sunscreens much more than whats available on the Aus market but am scared to use them for that reason! Robyn
How come nobody commented on the contents menu? I thought it was ingenious and very sweet of you :D Makes it for easy navigation esp for someone like me who has a short attention span :P But who am i kidding man...i always sit through your videos teeeehee!
@hellokitty214 It just occurs from daily posture and extensive movement of neck area. Sleeping posture really affects that too.. so I guess the best thing is just to keep your neck straight as much as possible i.e. avoid slouching or sleeping on your front or side, and keep the area moisturised^^
@itsukushimi17 I've just contacted them to ask and am awaiting their reply. I'll let you know as soon as they get back to me. Try colorfulcircle first - they have better prices on Hera ;) Plus free shipping and the 5% discount with my code. x
Hi dear! Thanks for such a detailed video! I really want to try Hera products, especially the HD foundation! I read one your comments below about not being able to see what you are filming since yours is not a camera made for self filming... What a lot of YouTube girls do is set up a mirror behind their camera so that when they are facing it, they can see the reflection of camera screen on the mirror? Hope that makes sense and is helpful for you! Xo
Hi Jen, Have u ever try the perfection serum which is the one used as the first step in our skincare routine?? i have tried the hera products u recommended in the video but in sample size, they are good and i like them...so i intend to buy the products (lotion, emulsion, serum and gel cream) from G market (english website), but i dont know the exact amount of those products, i cant compare the price...would u help me the find out the exact price please??? thanks so much@@
@hoyancherry Hi, yes I have :) My previous skincare routine video actually included that, but I have taken it out because I haven't actually found much of a difference. It is a good product if you don't normally use a serum, but as I already use the Estee Lauder serum, I didn't feel a need for it. For accuracy, I'll give you the prices in Won, and you can convert it to your currency. In order of your list, the products cost W40,000, W42,000, W55,000, and W55,000 in Korean department stores.
hi there!:) I'm looking for HERA's website but i couldn't find it. do they have products for acne prone skin? I am very much interested to use them :) thanks! hope i'll get a respond.
@mariel12692 Hi love! Make sure you type in co.kr at the end of the website URL! This aquabolic range has been formulated for sensitive/acne-prone skin etc. Koreans would go mad psycho if any products broke them out haha! x
@meejmuse thank you so much!:) I'm actually from Philippines but korean skincare products are very much popular in here. to mention such, skinfood, etude house, tony moly, laneige and more unfortunately HERA isnt here :(( too bad shin min ah is the model hahaha. i like her a lot! anyways, thanks! i'll go check the website. see if i can order online :) thanks again! God bless.
I totally agree with ur opinion about cotton pads. Cuz whenever i use them, fabric comes off from them. So it is always left on my face. I'll try the cotton pads that u recommend.
oh! keke forget to ask... what do you think of the preperfection serum? i noticed it's a lot more expensive than the others in the line.. do you think its necessary or worth the extra expense? thanks in advance hun~ xoxo
Yayy~ great video again! I lovee the hera range~~ I've gotten so many great tips from you esp cuz I think we have similar skin types. I don't usually comment on videos too much and I've only recently discovered this amazing world of yt gurus.. but just had to say you're my fave... you put so many little details and try to be patient even when ppl only complain about videos but you've been so sweet and positive~~ so just wanted to say, keep it up!!~ your efforts are definitely not unnoticed!! ^^
@dkim106 Thank you for bothering to comment although you're not usually one to do so. I've decided not to get discouraged because every video will have some dislikes :) It's something I knew I'd have to deal with before starting Youtube, but it's totally different once you're in the shoes yourself! Perhaps because each video - for me - takes 3-4 days of preparing, filming, editing and staying up, despite my other life commitments.. so my heart really goes into it :) You're a sweetie..thankyou <3
@jhoheart74 Laneige is okay, but the brands are in different market positions - Hera is a higher-end brand, so I guess it's not really fair to compare the two brands! :)
@graci3babi3 I couldn't help it because I literally spent 3-4 days, staying up til 5am, filming and editing this baby! And it's very hard to see that the lighting is bad because my camera is not made for self-filming and you can't see the screen as you are filming. But I've realised in the end it is my fault because it is my video that I've put up. So thank you and I'll just continue trying my best regardless. God bless you too beautiful..
I think maybe you should try to dim your lights a bit because it seems like your lights are always really bright. It was a helpful video and I love watching your videos <3
@xibelieveinme I filmed this and my previous eyeliner video at my mil's place with one light that isn't dimmable, and without it you guys would be complaining that it's too dark! Even if these two have been bright, and my other videos had poor lighting, I hope everyone will know that I'm trying my best :( I've put a lot of effort into these videos. Thanks everyone..
@meejmuse Please be careful that the products don't expire though! Usually liquids don't last more that 12 or 18 months and at a miximum 24 months (quite rare!). You can check on the label how long it will last after opening.
@miiiiiiilk Hera's products are made to be long-lasting :) Trust me, I don't use the products sparingly - using amounts that the instructions specify for each, and still they have lasted me this long. That's why I believe it is such a worthwhile investment! Thanks for your concern! x
@miiiiiiilk Just checked it - Hera's expiry date is 30 months after manufacturing date, so I'm safe :) They've made these products knowing they'll last! Simply amazing.
May I ask how old you are??? Im interested in the facial treatment essence
