Someone in my city (San Antonio) did it a few years back, instead of "To Serve and Protect" on the side of his car like a normal squad car would, he had "To Enslave and Punish" on the side, and that was the only difference and just that little bit is what made it legal since it wasn't a complete replica.

@IDontHateOnCars No I know the vettes are making more torque. But yes the twin screw allows for much more low end/instantaneous power. The vette can make more torque all day on those turbos but it will never launch harder than the GT due to the torque rpm level being raised from turbo lag. Which is why the GT steps away quicker. Which I personally think is much more fun.

This is so sad when you have to put a tt in the vette to out run a ford gt the ford gt is stock with a whipple how about tt in the ford gt then lest see if the vette can keep up the 1 mile record from the ford gt is 266 mph RWHP 1500 TQHP 1450. Ford GT was to race Farrai not Vettes or other cars. they mad it to remide people from the 1966 that at lamand the ford gt won 4 times in a row. get out if you need tt to out run cars that are stock.

There is an obvious difference between all three. Its not the corvette owners fault he had 500 more hp than the GT. The driver of the ford gt was aware of the hp difference and should have known what the outcome was going to be.

You can see the difference between what a supercharger, and a turbo (or turbo's) will do power wise. Takes a second for the turbo's (which I suspect are fairly large) to spool up, and once they do, away it goes.

The Heffner/Acufab GT that ran 266mph was in Miami, not Texas. And the only thing it had in common with a GT1000 is it's aspiration. There are GTs that have been modded beyond a GT1000 with the badge on the side, but that wouldn't make it a GT1000.

Ford GT, mid engine 43% on the front tires so 57% on the back. Chevy C6,front engine 52% on the front tires so 48% on the back.

Ford gt should have a stability and control edge on the base c6.I know the Corvette can match the horse power of the Ford if not make more,But not much more with just the 6.0l. I see the Ford GT having more down force and the corvette having more top speed. It comes down too what you like more and what you can afford. I would like to have the Gt but it still a Ford
