i finally did it today. Trick is to slipstream all the time, brake late and lightly (dont brake hard to maintain speed) and use inside of corners to overtake.

This race really pissed me off, I hated the other cars because you can only nudge them a little on the corners, you can't nudge them out the way when passing them, they seemed glued to their position on the road! Whats worse is if they hit you, you lose a ton of speed. Plus they wack all those cones on the first lap and don't get penalised!

They seriously need to make challenges like this more fair, I was on the final corner (lap 2) ready to take over the leader but I hit him and failed :(

This is actually doable, I did this yesterday, and the trick is to drive alot behind other busses and then overtake in the corners mainly, try to cut the corners as much as you can!

They give us the slowest vehicle in the world, one which loses even more speed if you don't upshift quickly enough, and then make it harder by imposing stupid rules designed to disqualify you. At least you unlock the Top Gear test track for placing first.

holy crap, well i just got this game for christmas, and its actually really simple once you realize that slipstreaming the other buses is the only way to get past it, and when youre going through those corners with the cones and the racing stripes on the side, gently bump the other vans, i got 1st place after about 5 tries!!! good luck guys =)

I had a feeling my van was much faster this time because normally im 5th going into the 2nd lap but now i was 2nd and i got no.1 in the 1st corner of that lap.

@CraigS291234 You cant modify the bus in any way, its stock... Though its slow you can still slipstream to boost speed...As for bumping, make sure your very gentle with rear bumping, side to side is more lenient as long as your turning into the corner on impact rather than cutting across

@lolf08 I bumped the others, yes...I dont think you watched the video properly, or you would have seen that I did brake...I dont use bumping as a substitute to braking..Its difficult to get through because the vans are massive and the AI is slow...I recorded this 1-2 hours after the game was released, I doubt theres many videos out there of this race done cleanly released on the same day the game was..Considering how early it was recorded, I think its fine...

@lolf08 The way you phrased the question seemed offensive, but no problem..Im no expert so i dont know exact brake points...All i can advise is to watch the video again and look at where exactly i brake, and try to do the same...I would brake early into the corner and try not to lose too much speed while your turning, try to be smooth through the corners, and yes, slipstreaming works, even against these guys, but it kicks in at higher speeds...Hope that helped
